This was a really good volume, well for me at least.
1.) I love how they showed more of Nagisa's brother and Kao's brother's backstories. I felt like we've only been getting bits and pieces about the brother so it was good to know more about him. I also felt like the pacing about the brother is good.
2.) I'm happy Kiryu finally confessed to Kao. Despite it being pretty obvious that Kao and Nagisa will end up together, I still thought it was a good development for their part at least.
3.) In most Shoujo mangas, the ML usually treats the FL like sh*t, which makes the reader have a hard time rooting for the FL to be with the ML. But one thing I noticed in this case is that Nagisa actually treats Kao with respect and doesn't treat her like some sort of sh*t/discards of her feelings. It's honestly quite refreshing actually.
As we head into the next volume, I feel like more excitement awaits us, and I'm only expecting more good things from here. :)
Outside of a couple good jokes and a rather sweet speech from Kao at the end, this is still just ticking off the boxes for all your favorite shojo tropes. I do appreciate them delving into Nagisa’s backstory a bit more during the scene with the coach/teacher, but this story is not breaking the mould.
Rivalries flare and battle is declared and Kiryu basically drags Kao out on a date via subterfuge (yeah, that’ll be a great basis for a relationship). With the story’s outcome never in doubt, however, this is Kanye 2020 levels of wasting the reader’s time on something that will amount to nothing.
There’s not a lot to really comment on in this one. Nothing surprising at all and never a moment’s doubt where things are headed. It’s very competent, and I like the series, but it’s not top tier or anything.
This volume made me realize how much I love the friendship between Nagisa and Asahi, they are there for one another and support each other. So, I don’t want them to be mad at each other because of their love for Kao. I hate love triangle sooo much! I was surprise by how much I was rooting for Asahi in this volume. I know she is going to end up with Nagisa because he is the main lead interest but I wish, for once, that the main character would pick the second lead interest, for once, pleeease!
I also loved the scenes between Nagisa and the coach where they talk about his brother since both of them were closed to him.

Wow!!! The characters are getting all their feelings out beside the two main one. It's like a love square. But I enjoy how one of the main characters told her he wanted to hear her voice. That was so sweet!!!!
This is one of the times where the “love triangle” doesn’t bother me. Both guys give off the vibe of encouraging each other to give it their best shot to win the girls heart and let the best man win.
Nagisa is literally every love language that exists. I just hope Kao doesn’t hurt his feelings. She got kinda confused after Asahi’s confession, and I’m scared she might do something dumb.

Two men who are trying to better themselves cause they are acknowledging their feelings. I want her to not have to chose at this point cause I don’t have a preference of one over the other.
