Almost too bizarre to be true.

The Kindly it started with neighbours complaining about a smell. Then a plumber found human remains in the sewer. The horrors which were uncovered in Dennis Nilsen's apartment were seemingly inconsistent with the apparent nature of the man himself.

Very interesting read

This anthology is a good book to read if you are looking to delve into the subject of true crime. Despite the minor editing issues, the book was a very interesting read that I found very hard to put down. I look forward to reading the author's next anthology.

Wealth of information

Fantastic author who knows how to hold the reader' s interest. This is a very good written account of several killers, their crimes, and even delves a bit into possibilities as to what could have created these monsters.

As a true crime fanatic Stephen McGrann did not disappoint in his writing of this anthology. The cases were written short enough that it help your attention but detailed enough that you felt like you were reading the actual case file. The only thing I disliked about this anthology was that the editing wasn't very good. There were missing words, as well as misspellings. However, it didst interfere with the flow of the case. I look forward to reading 4,5 and 6 True Crime Files Anthologies. This is definitely one of those books that you finish in one sitting and are up long into the night reading and thinking about the cases that you read.

Nice collection of cases

This is a quick read true crime anthology set and many of the cases are fairly obscure. There are some color pictures as well. The second set in this series, (volumes 4,5, and 6) are a little more interesting though. The editing is pretty bad and "irregardless" is not a real word! Overall, worth reading if you like TC.

Interesting reads. Horrible grammar and punctuation to the point of spelling key names differently throughout stories. Oof.
