Jerry Cole is a gay author who lives in California & enjoys writing love stories. Jerry has been writing fiction since he was a child. As a young adult, he worked as a freelance writer in the evenings & on weekends. Jerry started writing gay romance stories several years ago, but initially just for his own entertainment & occasionally sharing stories with his friends. In the summer of 2015 he published his first gay romance short story on Amazon. Overwhelmed by the positive response he decided to quit his “day job” & took up writing gay romance full time. When he’s not writing steamy M/M romance he enjoys globetrotting, watching movies with family and friends, working out, & being dragged down the road by his two Great Danes.
**** Wow ! I loved this story... Jerry Cole has outdone himself here. This is a beautifully written tale of an injured pop star, and how he learned to love himself, so he could make a better life. He learned to be true to himself and admit what he felt. Dax, 33, is a world famous star, in the closet, and in his attempt to find a connection, he ends up escaping the paparazzi and in a tragic accident. He's got a lot of time to think as he hides out to rehab and realign in a small Scottish village. Red haired, green eyed Scotsman, Cameron, is his physical therapist, who gets him back on a healthy track and teaches him to walk again. In doing that, Cameron helps Dax realize he's worth much more as a person than he has been treated by his manager.
These two characters are breathtakingly magnificent, and the smooth paced tale is nearly impossible to put down. We are completely enthralled.
We get a stunning story, a truly lovely romance, with erotic sexy interludes, plus a heartwarming finish. No instant love, because this is a rewarding, emotional and loving tale.
Gosh I thought every page was wonderful. Highly recommended. ENJOY !
I had a hard time deciding how many stars I should give this book, which I have to say was really good and sweet and concerned subjects like self-esteem which is very important. There were some things that robbed the book from better rating, though.
The first few pages nearly made me give up, because the dialogue was coarse and I hated Dax. He was a spoiled, rich rock star who thought the world was spinning only because of him. He was rude almost to anybody and the first sexual encounter he made with a guy just before the accident was kind of awkward and not sexy at all.
Then there were a few chapters with so much information about the hospital and everything surrounding him that in my opinion wasn't necessary. After that, the things improved and there was a lot of meaningful thoughts about important issues such as believing in yourself, bravery, courage and one of the most important things - to be able to trust your own instincts and find what makes you happy.
Cameron, I liked more, even though I wasn't able to get to know him well. I prefer a single POV, because if the book is well written I can understand what the other MC is thinking/feeling/etc. just by looking at his gestures, the way he speaks. In this book, I needed just a little bit more information about Cameron, more hints, seen from Dax's perspective.
The relationship between Dax and Cameron was sweet and romantic and the slow burn was nice. Both of them deserved their HEA, so great job from Jerry Cole.
Overall, a very good book with a meaningful plot. I'm sorry I couldn't give it more stars but the first half of this book made me skip a lot of pages.
There were several things about this book that I found annoying, but I guess since I could skip over those parts it was an okay book.
In the first half of the book I found myself skipping pages. A lot of pages. There was so much blah, blah, blah (especially in the hospital arc) that I had to roll my eyes and flick my finger over my kindle to get past it all. Another annoyance was how the author kept referring to the MC as "the star." We know. You don't have to keep calling him that because it became repetitious and silly sounding.
Last irritant: the MC was sooooo bloody stupid! Keep it in your pants, man! If you want to stay in the closet and you're a huge worldwide music sensation... of course people are going to spill the goods when you go out to spill your goods! So, so dumb to read about him taking risks and thinking everything will be okay. He's in his 30s... that's too old to be so naive.
Originally I was going to round up my 3.5 stars to 4, but now that I've re-read my review I have to knock it down to 3 stars because, yeah... those things were just that annoying, but it was still readable.
Story of spoilt young rock star , Dax, who is, as he thinks, in the closet. you get a picture of a young man that it is hard to like. he is abusive of his workers, takes people for granted, abuses his body with drink and drugs. however you start to get an insight into why, he wants more to life, tired of hiding but afraid to stop and breath. and that what he is forced to do. an accident running away from a hook up ends in a serious accident with multiple injuries. he requires physio thus enter Camerron the sexy scottish physio who is not intimidated by his stardom. Camerron knows what he needs to recover, and not just from the physical injuries. takes Dax to a remote farmhouse in Scotland where Dax starts to relax and unwind and both men start to fall in love.
as ever JC tells a story so well. the journey from London to Scotland, from closed ignorant rock star to caring young man. from professional physio afraid to love again to man in love we arrive at at an end that leaves you sad, why? it's over. i will say the end is a bit abrupt.

Catch Me If I Fall is the newest tale that Jerry Cole delivers beautifully in the country of Scotland. Dax Monroe is the sexual, charismatic superstar that every man wants to be and every woman wants to be with. Unfortunately for Dax he harbors a secret that nearly gets him killed when he becomes pursued by paparazzi. This, however, lands him in the clutches of Cameron Wilson, his no nonsense, hunky physical therapist. Seeing the life that Dax is forced to live, Cameron extends him an olive branch to heal himself both in and out. This leads to Dax losing himself in the beauty of Scotland and his newfound freedom to live, breathe and love. The characters in the book are written extremely well and I became so enraptured in the story that I laughed with them, got VERY angry at them and cried with them. This book had me hooked from beginning to end and I highly recommend it! I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
Dax is a superstar on stage with his guitar in hand. Rich, all his needs taken care of, he is careless with himself and others. Gay, but hiding it from fans, he gets lonely. Going out one night he gets a hookup and a lot more. It changes his life. Now he must find a way to climb out of the physical and mental hole he has fallen into with a broken back that will take some serious rehab to help him walk again. With a doctor who is determined to help him towards recovery, he is assigned Cameron. Another man who is determined to help him walk, but also to make a better life for himself. At odds with this is the money hungry manager who wants him back in his control. Can Dax make it to the person he wants to be or will he fall back into the hole he has been in since he was eighteen?
Once I started this book it was hard to put down. A great page turner from page one. Dax a famous rockstar recovering from an accident gets Cameron as his physical therapist and the gentle passion between the two men heats up.
A gentle story with beautiful characters that endeared me to follow their romance. Dax and Cameron takes place in several locations that come to life through the wonderful descriptive writing of Jerry Cole.
I highly recommend this book I couldn’t put it down. I received a free advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest & unbiased review.
What caused this to be a fiver, is the emotions the story brought out it me. The story wasn't flat or one dimensional. The entertainment industry has changed, thank goodness. Dax and Cameron came across each other because of a bad situation. For the two of them the bad situation turned into something lovely. I must say Grant was an asshole. Other than that guy, Dax had wonderful people on his side to help him with things, even if he wasn't the nicest person.
MM. A spoiled superstar trying to hide the truth about himself to the world. Unfortunately, this lands him in the hospital, unsure of his future. His physical therapist, Cameron, wants Dax to work on and decide only wants what's best him. Not the public and definitely not his manager. Dax seems too set in his ways, blindly following what his manager wants and being completely unhappy. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This is a book you cannot put down once you start to read it. It is about Dax, a superstar with a secret, who has a near fatal accident. But he recovers and falls for Cameron, his physical therapist. The story is written from the view of Dax and in such a way it feels as if one is in his head and experience everything with him. Brilliant The book just ended a bit to abrupt.

A spoiled rock star, who is a little too beholden to his manager, gets a rude awakening when an accident lands him in the hospital with life altering injuries. Thankfully, he chooses to trust in his physical therapist and follow his plan – whether out of a healthy dose of self-preservation or an inkling at the possibility for more – and what follows is a slow burn romance that reveals a likeable person behind the bad boy image and a story that was delightful to read.
I'm notorious for reading Books once, and never again. But occasionally there's a story I need to reread. This is one such story. The love interest took a long slow road through near death to the Scottish highlands and then to Hollywood. I really enjoyed the whole trip.
after daxs world is turn upside down the spoiled brat that he is has to learn all over again things he took for granted, in walks Cameron. Very well worth the read. Oh and have tissues you will need them.
A I really dice story with believable plot and expiration of certain issues associated with gay life .z I would hope and/or like see a sequel about DAX and then Cameron.
This book written by Jerry Cole had me captivated right from the beginning. The story involves a Superstar and Physical Therapist. Just a great read, good descriptions of life on the road. You will not be disappointed in this book.
oh this was a rollercoaster of emotions.. holy crap it was amazing and wonderful and sexy. but the emotions are real and deep.. you feel them in your soul. i loved it
It was nice for once to see a character take time for recovery and not get a miracle one out of nowhere. Especially since it wasn't just physically but also mentally. I still think it was too fast considering the injuries but at the end he wasn't completely healed so it wasn't too unrealistic either.
I think an epilogue would have been nice too see where his career would go after the concert. The ending was a bit cliché but expected and it doesn't bother me.
I didn't really liked Dax. Getting caught at being gay and still denying it? Jezus, what a life. And Cameron was a little creepy for a professional physical therapist. Who would take their patients home with them? This breaks a dozen rules right? The relationship felt off. No connection between the MC's and no spark in the bedroom. Sadly no recommendation from me. It could have been better.
This book is uncreative and problematic but I guess if you’re into this genre of book (I am) your used to it. I’m not trying to be mean, just honest. This guy is supposed to be a American guy living in Europe but he used European slang in his thoughts, even in the beginning. This book also might have been better with two POVs; I felt like there were large parts of the story missing. I might have missed something when I was reading but I don’t think the timeline worked in my head either. Beyond that, this is the third physical therapist/celebrity book I’ve read this year. The ending of this book, without spoilers, was so cliche it was cringy.
