Bash has had some hard knocks in his young life. His dad came back from the war with PTSD and the monster he only caught a glimpse of before was out and terrorizing his family. After his father's death, Bash steps up to take care of his mother. And then she develops early onset Alzheimer's. She has her good days, which give him hope, but they both suffer when she has her bad ones. A mission to NY with his club, the Charon MC, has him questioning his position in life. He finds a girl who calls to his heart and a club that seems to click with him. Will he stick with what's comfortable or take the leap and the detour?
Khloe Wren is a new-to-me author and if Losing Bash is anything to go by, I'm in for a treat when I read the rest of her stories. She created a character with plenty of heart, which I love when it's pitted against the grittiness of the MC world. Within a few pages, I was able to get to know and be curious about plenty of the characters that make up the Charon MC and I'm looking forward to getting to know them well. Bash is headed back to the Big Apple and I'm excited to see how his life changes in Shifting Gears, which will be written by one of my favorite authors, Janine Infante Bosco!!

A short story. The series this one spins off of it Satan's Knights MC. In this book a few members go to NY to pay a visit and Bash is one of the ones who goes.

MC stories are my guilty pleasure, and this author makes the guilt oh so pleasurable. Her characters leap off the pages with emotions, heart, grit, and the overlaying blanket of brotherhood and family. This story is short, poignant, and fulfilling in that it starts you on Bash’s personal journey of pain, loyalty, and decisions to be made with possibilities to be explored. Great read.

Bash has not has an easy life and has been taken in as a prospect for the Charon MC which has give him a place where he feels he belongs, but his personal life is at a crossroads, with his moms’ illness, and his dads’ suicide. On a trip home he meets Lydia and there is an instant connection between them. This is a well written story which is emotional, heart-warming, raw, gritty, and a powerful short read. I look forward to reading more about Bash’s story soon.

I felt like the end of the last one sort of ruined this one and was so very vague you wondered what happened.
I felt for Bash in this one, for all he was going through with his mom, for feeling left out at the club. It was easy to see how the time with Lydia would have a hold on him, one that given the right circumstances he would run towards. So as bad as I feel for him leaving the Charons, it seems like a fresh start is good for him.

Brilliant short story
Bash is a prospect who has the world on his shoulders. A trip to New York sees him meeting a woman and sharing a great night with her. Reality crashes and he heads home in the morning to his failing mother. Her health is not good and bad him conflicted. A Brilliant story and some tough choices to make.

Loving these short stories this one is about Bash we get to know him and his pain from the past to the present. Bash’s moms illness and falling for a woman from a different Mc. I can’t wait to hear more about his life and hopefully he will be happy. 5/5 stars

This book was truly un needed to be honest. The epilouges on previous books really gave away what the ending will truly be and you could truly predict the out come. There wasnt much to be done with this story. Being single POV and not alot of romance involved or action like previous books it dampens the series as a whole. Not personally to be I felt worth the read.

I’ve lived every single book in the Charon MC Series so far, and where Bash’s story is not finished yet, I really love his character. This is a different book because it’s a crossover, so to read the rest of Bash’s
story, (which I’m downloading ASAP) you need to read “Shifting Gears” by Janine Bosco. I’m so looking forward to reading Bash’s HEA!!

This book was good. Pretty much just half of a book about Bash. The 2nd part is written by a different author and a different book, so that was a big disappoint not getting the complete story.

Absolutely amazing book. I love these books more than most people. I feel like I can dive in and live right there with them. It was so sad to lose bash. Every single one of her books are a must read.

I'm definitely going to have to read the rest of Bash's story. I wonder if he will leave the Charon's for good or he will go get his girl and come back. I think he would fit in better with his current MC.

It's 2 damn short!! Bash is awesome!! He more than earned everything he got and deserved!! It was really emotional with his family especially his mom. At least he needs 2 figure out what 2 do with his future.

READ AS PART OF THE CROSSOVER COLLECTION W/RITE OF PASSAGE
This is one of those times where I decided to grab something and didn't really look to see what it was. I saw that these two books were part of a Crossover Collection and the blurbs sounded good so ahead I went. I didn't look to see how far into their series each of the stories were (which would have helped a bit) nor that they were only novellas with the rest of each story coming. Luckily, there is enough backstory on the MCs in them as well as each works as a standalone for the hero that they are about.
First up is LOSING BASH, Charon MC #9.
Bash is a prospect with the Charon MC having been brought in by Scout the club's president after Scout promised Bash's mom he would look after him. Seeing Bash fit in with the club, Scout took him in. After two years with no patch and with his mother's health rapidly declining, Bash is out of sorts and restless. A trip to New York for club business leads him to Lydia, the pretty and surly bartender at the Satan's Knight's MC clubhouse.
Told from Bash's POV, this is the set-up for his time to find his place in the world. Wren's hero is a young man that while steady, stable and committed finds himself at life's crossroads. Wren's writing flowed well, allowing me to dip into the book and easily get lost in the story. Since this is a novella the action was short-lived but interesting, the sex scene was hot with a side of LOL. Since another author will be taking over, I'm not sure if his New York hook-up he can't stop thinking about, Lydia will be his leading lady but she certainly is an intriguing character.
A nice preview of what looks to be a riveting story to come.
Next is RITE OF PASSAGE, Satan's Knight's MC 0.5
Ryan "Needles" Perry hopped on his bike and left Texas in the dust as soon as he could, nomad'ed for years before ending up on Staten Island with the Stan's Knights MC. Now he is a single father and tattoo artist. When his father dies, he returns to Texas and in the process reunites with Bess, his childhood friend and crush but his life is in NY. When he finds out that his mother is being swindled by a local preacher, he has to hightail it back to Texas.
Rite is the set-up for the story of Needles and how he will balance his life. He is a man just treading water, not really committed to anyone, not even his daughter. Infante-Bosco gave a lot of backstory of Satan's Knights in this novella, giving a good picture of the type of life that Needles is leading while delving into his state of mind. Bosco paints a picture of a man in desperate need of direction and purpose making me not like him but hopeful for a turnout. The book gives a peek into the intrigue to come which seems as if it will be interesting with a lot of action as well as self-reflection and emotion from its hero.

Great book, but I wanted more from the ending. This book is well worth your time to read, a different kind of motorcycle club story. One young man with plenty of loss to go around and how he handles it.

Another installment from the Charon MC series may be a quick tale but it’s a powerful one. With a hero who’s a bit bad boy, along with being a good son who’s devoted himself to his mother and his club, he’s starting to feel a bit unsettled when readers first meet him. Bash is starting to realize that he’s missing out on a life of his own which is made especially obvious when his club sends him to help the Satan’s Knights where he lays eyes on a sexy bartender. She makes him feel for the very first time and has him wanting to do something just for himself. Before he can move forward though he needs to tie up his past which leads to a few tears and a brighter future that leaves readers with a cliffhanger that has them waiting with bated breath for more.
Bash’s story was an emotional one, a timely one dealing with a mother with dementia and a father whose PTSD led to his death. It made him a hero I instantly fell for as he shows a kind heart and endless loyalty to others while in return he’s sometimes taken advantage of for being so caring. This novella focuses mostly on him which left little time to learn about Lydia, the one night-stand who quickly had him wanting more from her. It also has me wanting to learn more about her too as the few words she said spoke of a heroine with scars inside and out. Khloe Wren is a new to me author, and while I had heard of her in passing, I never took the time to read anything of hers, and trust me, I'm seriously kicking myself for that! Of course, it's Losing Bash that I cut my teeth on, which was just torturous, since it was just a tiny tease that has me all bent out of shape because I really really really NEED more! Poor Bash, he's been a prospect for the Charon MC, and he's been waiting for 2 years to be voted in, and until recently, he's not thought about it to the degree he's doing at this point. It certainly doesn't help that he's also got serious pressures at home, with his Ma being sick, and no matter how much he busts his a**, he doesn't have enough money for full time help which is what he really needs. I think things really came to a head after getting back from a MC trip, where he met a woman who gained his interest, but who he only got to spend one night with before going home again. So all of that together has Bash at a crossroads in his life when the final nail in the coffin happened, and he just doesn't have a clue where his life should go now. And that's all of the book, like it's over, leaving me hanging until Bash decides which path he's going to take, so I'm dying inside right now. All I know is that I NEED the next book NOW ! So that's all I've got, and everyone needs to read Losing Bash, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Charon MC is an MC that is much like the Satan’s Knights. They are ally’s and even though they may not be completely on the legal side, they are loyal and a family MC. This was my first time reading any of the Charon MC books, but I had been introduced to them in the Satan’s Knights books and I liked the characters that I had read in there.
Losing Bash is a sad story but it’s also a story of a young man finding his place in the world and finding his way in life. He’s loyal to his mother and his brothers in the MC even though he feels that he has been strung along for far too long. He still respects the leadership of the MC, but he needs a change so that he can grow and find his own way now.
I loved Bash, he is sexy, quiet, loyal, and a bit of a loner. He wants to be loved and he wants to find his other half. A trip to NY could be the answer to all of his problems. He has been keeping things bottled up and to himself for too long now and one thoughtless comment from a newer prospect could be the end for Bash in the Charon MC.
I loved this story and can’t wait to read more after Ms. Wren has turned the reigns over to Janine Infante Bosco for the next chapter in Bash’s story. I give this story a 4.5-star review and cannot recommend this story enough. Khloe Wren and Janine Infante Bosco have done a great job with this crossover collection.

Losing Bash - wow I I have not read any of the prior Charon MC series but that is fixing to be rectified asap. Losing Bash has hooked me on with the club. This is an exciting, sexy, heartwarming read. Yeah I said Heartwarming, a thing a lot of MC books are not. But this one touched my heart in a big way. Bash is dealing with his father’s suicide, his mother developing Alzheimer's and finding his own place in the world. Taken in by the Charon’s as a prospect, he has found a place to escape but is it enough? On a road trip to NY he meets a girl that sparks something in him that has been lost, but he has to leave her after only one night. When he returns home and tragedy hits, Bash is more lost than ever. Bash is now at a crossroads in his life, which way will he turn?
This is the prologue to his story.. I am so looking forward to see what happens with Bash in the upcoming book, Shifting Gears.

5 Loving Bash Stars!!! HOLY COW!!! That was a fantastic read!
I will say that this is the first book I've read by Khloe, but after reading this one I know for sure I'll be reading more! I fell hard for Bash and his background. It's raw, emotional and will definitely pull at your heart strings! This book is nothing like I've read before and I loved it! I can't recommend this enough!

I haven't had the pleasure of reading anything by Khloe Wren before and I was intrigued and really wanting more. Bash is a character you are absolutely going to love. He has had enough of where he is in life and has lost something close to his heart and is ready to start over where he left something behind that he is looking forward to see where that something goes. Not only that but his time there showed him that maybe he found a group of people he is better suited to. Can't wait to see how everything plays out in the rest of his story!
Not only am I excited by this crossover series and to see where Bash's story will go from here but I really want to check out the previous books in this series now as well. Do you have to in order to enjoy this one??? No, but I'm curious.

You will lose your heart to Bash from the moment you start reading this book. Being a prospect for the Charon's for 2 years now and still awaiting his final patch Bash has had his share of ups and downs. A Marine father who took his own life due to PTSD and a mother who has developed early-onset Alzheimer's he doesn't know where his life is heading and being sent on a run doesn't help his situation until he falls for one of the girls from the Satan Knights MC. Though this is just the start and Janine Infante Bosco is taking the reigns of Bash's story next month in Shifting Gears I can not wait to read more!

Bash is a young man who has had to deal with some major challenges as he grew up. His father was a military man who developed PTSD which led him to taking his own life and his mother is battling Alzheimer’s. To say it has not been easy is an understatement but fortunately, he found some direction when he became a prospect by the Charon MC. Off on a mission to New York, Bash comes in contact with Lydia, a firecracker of a bartender. The chemistry between these two is incendiary. This is one raw and powerful short read.

Part of the previous book
This book should have been incorporated with the previous book since the entire story was the previous book. Filled in a few holes about the ledgers and bank keys and the frustration of Bash but since both books were short anyway it wouldnt have hurt to combine. I really dislike authors who take advantage of the readers book money but dividing books in two just to charge more money. Several editing errors. Which disappoints me as she did so good during the first several. Looks like the almighty dollar got the better of her and a rush job which left errors.
