Sorawo and Toriko manage to take out the monster attacking the army camp, but in the process Sorawo’s contact gets knocked out revealing her “otherside viewing” blue eye. When the trigger-happy soldier freaks out about that, they have to run, making it back to our world in a hair-raising maneuver.
Then Toriko goes missing after she and Sorawo argue about how hard to push the otherside stuff and whether to try and rescue the soldiers. So Sorawo teams up with Toriko’s friend Kozakura - who looks really young for some reason, but seems to be older than both of them - to rescue her. Kozakura was reluctant, but a photo suggesting Toriko is being stalked by a Sorawo doppelganger, and one of the missing Satsuki dated the day our MCs met, intrigue her. And then a bunch of very strange ladies show up at her house…
I think that’s it for official English translations, but there are more fan-translated volumes available online. The story also continues in the light novels.
Reading the manga is so great because I am reminded of events that happened in the novels.
Sorawo and Toriko are able to get back to their world from the Otherside. After an argument, Toriko decides to go back to the Otherside by herself, since Sorawo doesn't want to continue risking her life for someone she doesn't know. Sorawo enlists the help of Kozakura who does not want to go. Events occur that makes her have to go when people show up at her door.
Sorawo is also sent some pictures of Toriko but the timeline doesn't match up. In the pictures, she notices a shadow of herself, with distorted ugly features, showcasing some of her inner feelings.
I saw that volume 8 of the novel was released in January. Hopefully we will get Omnibus 4 released in the US soon, so I can learn more about Satsuki. Volume 7 of the novel has her on the cover, so maybe we will get more of the history with her friendship with Toriko. There has to be something that causes the the woman to go look for her,
