Skye goes through a lot in the previous book and Loving Skye starts right where the previous one left off. I think Skye is still trying to find her way and learn to love herself. Feeling loved isn't something she gets from home, so it can be confusing.
Loving Skye starts off with her date with Darrin. It's clear he's kind of the bad boy and Skye has to dumb down how she talks at times. He's very appealing, but Skye is insecure. How far does she really want to go with this guy? Is that something that will be expected of her? Things start going a bit too fast, so it's nice when a family surprise stops whatever chance of a relationship she had with him.
Her sister is back home and that's so unexpected. Her parents start acting differently and she's just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Something has to wrong at home with all going so well! That never happens.
Skye is dealing with some family secrets and Andrew being back in her life and work, her summer is pretty busy. In my previous review I had mentioned how I would've like to have seen Skye be on her own for a bit instead of with a guy. We kind of got a glimpse of that here. Andrew is around, but she takes her time and starts learning to open up.
Things happen with her family and in ways Skye acts selfishly, but also the total opposite with her actions. She starts realizing what love is and that it starts with herself. Skye has a couple of amazing friends and Andrew in her corner. Even parents who slowly start to realize they've been wrong. This summer is just what Skye needed to start a senior year to get herself where she needs to be.
What I loved about this book is that the author approaches sex and the consequences of it. I think by the way she does this with events in this book, it will get teenagers thinking. Not only about protecting themselves, but also that it should be something they want.
The epilogue left me with a smile on my face and I'm even kind of sad we don't get to read about Skye in her college years. Even though she definitely ends up where she needs to be. I'm excited to read more by this author in the future!

This series was so well written and so believable.
The characters all grew up during this series and bought back so many memories.
I hate to see this series end.
Kelsie Stelting has another winner.

I’ll start by saying I’m not new to
this series. Also, I didn’t enjoy the last two as much as I’d hoped I would. The first half of the book was (in my opinion) above the standard of the previous two. The second half of the book was the only time I have ever related to Skye. I loved it. I cried by the 70% mark. In public. Twice. The only thing I can say is if you were to choose a book in the series to read, pick this one. It’s the best if the three and definitely worth the time.

This book was a great ending to this series.
I felt so sad for Skye, it seemed every good thing she tried to do, others turned it around on her where she was at fault. I just wanted to scream for her innocents. I'm so happy I read all three books of this series. Kelsie Stelting did an awesome job pulling us through the life of this teen girl's struggles, to make a shining future for herself. You can read this book alone, but I highly recommend reading the whole series in order, so you can have a deep connection with Skye before reading this book. If you love clean reads you can't go wrong here.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review. Skye has gone through hell and back with her family. It took time and she made mistakes, but Skye did it. She forgives those that hurt her, her family, and has learned to slowly trust people. She has finally learned to love all of herself the bad as well as the good. Throughout the story she has grown into an incredible person that does not only thinks about herself, but those around her as well. She and her sister finally work together to improve their relationship. I was about to start bawling like a baby by the ending. Karma right.

This was the perfect book to finish up Skye's story. There are ups and downs in her life. She works hard and learns to love and accept love. Andrew is a true romantic, and I loved the things he did for Skye. The epilogue is fantastic! I plan to read more of Ms. Stelting's work. I would recommend this for older YAs and for clean romance readers.

Loving Skye #3 - This is my favorite of the Skye series. Well written and clean, full of fun and drama but still heartwarming for a person this young to continue on when things are bad. Skye is an interesting character and she does handle things better than her age group usually does. She makes mistakes and sometimes doing the right thing slaps her upside the head. She has a good supporting friend, actually more than one, and the rest of characters are human, too. Ms. Stelting does a good job with all her books. 5*
Becoming Skye #2 - Starts right after Skye gets out of the hospital and she's in her junior year of high school. Again, I don't care too much for this age group, but I love what Ms. Stelting can do with the written word. Her vivid descriptions, her characters and their dramas, and how things are handle with a bit of maturity, instead of the usual stupidity so common today for characters of many ages.
This story is clean and with no sexual misbehavior, just young soon-to-be adults trying to make the best of their situations and lives. Skye is determined to succeed and even when the cards are stacked against her, she doesn't fold and give in. She suffers the blow but comes back more determined and with new plans that she puts into action. Ms. Stelting also manages to edit her books with only a few errors, in this case, three words that should have been uppercase. 5*
Lonesome Skye #1 - I usually don't read much about this age group, but this is an excellent story about a high school junior and her trials. This is a well written, intriguing story filled with a gamut of emotions that keeps the reader rooting for the main character. All the characters are developing through out the story and I find their dialog realistic and mature instead of moronic. I didn't like the way the book ended, but I assume there's more to the story coming. It's not a cliffhanger, but I did want to keep following her story. I'm interested in reading more by this writer; plus she understands and practices proper editing. I do wish I had read this book before All The Things He Left Behind, since one is past and the other future in some of these characters' lives. 5*
All The Things He Left Behind - This is my first story by this author and I enjoyed it! It is well written and a pleasure to read an author's work who understands the value proper punctuation and editing. The characters are developed just enough for the story. Ms. Stelting's vivid descriptions keeps the reader immersed in Saf's starting over. It's almost like hearing a conversation on the front porch while drinking coffee with a friend. Has an overview of the story, which I appreciate knowing what the book is about before I read it.

This book was good. I feel I need to review the whole series because I was caught up in finishing the story and didn't write a lot in the last 2 books reviews. Anyways, these books, are so cute! They are relatable, things that happen in everyday life, and have a great storyline. The 4 star review is really an editing issue because there were several places where thr wring name was used like it was thrown together just to reach the publishing date in time, other than that these are quick reads and good stories to help escape for a while.

Concluding Skye's story. She's been through a lot. Will she get her happy ending that she does so deserve? An unputdownable coming-of-age novel, ideal for teens and adults who are young at heart.
Full of food for thought-relationships both old and young, family drama, friendship, overcoming life's obstacles and decision making.
I was sad when Skye's journey came to an end as it had been a really enthralling read.

A sweet ending

So much of this book happened because the characters are the worst about communication! It makes parts of the book super frustrating, because it's like are they ever going to learn, but it's still good. The conclusion was heartfelt and made enduring the slow bits worth it.

Skye
This is the 3rd book in the series and I loved it. It is a teen book, but I read it anyway. I’m 63, and read all types of books. The drama in this story is real. It happens everyday, bullying, sport injuries, falling in love for the first time. This story kept me entertained, where I did not want to put the book down. I highly recommend it to all ages, and be ready to fall in love with Skye, and experience her last couple years in school. Start with book 1, when she is a junior.

*3.5 stars this trilogy had a few interesting moments, but overall I didn’t like Skye or any of the guys in her life

I tried so hard to love these books. All the characters are loveable but I just couldn't get into it.... Loving Skye is easy, but her choices and the drama that stemmed from them were annoying, at best. Her coping mechanisms this book were horribly unhealthy and her continuous crying was too much.
*Spoilers: she ruins all her relationships, and in order to feel better has to swim in her underwear and kiss her hot cowboy best friend "platonically" like what?! That's ridiculous. If Andrew "platonically" kissed Stormy, Skye would have been devastated.... Her love and drive for being the best in her sport or in anything is totally gone in this book until she switched to salads in the end. All highschool dramas suddenly disapperaed with no word from Shelby or Sheldon or Callum or anyone. Rebounding with a gross cowboy... Idk it was just all ridiculous this go around.
