3.5 stars.
Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs is the story of Kogarashi, a poor and luckless high school student who lives and works in a former hot springs resort that has been converted into a cheap boarding house for lady bed spacers. The rent is cheap because the former resort is haunted by Yuuna, whose corpse was discovered in the inn. The Yuuna’s death is still a mystery, and Kogarashi, the good guy that he is, decides to help Yuuna move on by helping her with her unfinished business.
This multi-part review of the entire series is continued in my review of the next volume.

Quite a bit of fanservice/ecchi-ness, but I still liked it, it was funny. Yuuna was a bit annoying at times, but she is a good girl.
Will be sure to read more of this manga.

Since a lot of reviewers and raters don't seem to understand this series very well, I thought I'd leave this review.
First, expect this series to have a massive amount of uncensored nudity. While you never see what's between the legs, you see everything else. This series is rated M for a reason. And if you're not reading this for the truly ridiculous amount of boobs, I don't know why you're even here.
That said, while Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Spring gives off the same vibe as other ecchi harems like To Love Ru and Monster Musume, it differentiates itself from your average harem by having a protagonist who is actually competent.
Fuyuzora Kogarashi is a psychic with a mean right hook. He can defeat yokai just by punching them in the face. To top it off, he is multi-talented. We learn he was possessed by a lot of spirits when he was younger, and they all trained him in their various professions, giving him a broad range of subjects and hobbies he has mastered.
Volume 1 serves as an introduction. We're introduced to the protagonist and the girls living at the Yuragi Sou. We don't learn much about them, but you can expect to learn more as the series progresses.
I love the artwork, the girls are cute, and the fanservice is epic. To top it off, the protagonist is actually likable. It checks almost all the boxes for what I want in an ecchi harem romcom.

2nd time reading the series
Just as good as the first time. Art is superb, shading is impeccable, lines are *chefs kiss*, tadahiro miura is still the best artist I’ve seen or is definitely top 5. And with all the topless, panty-less, etc fanservice I am in heaven when it comes to this fantasy slice of life of a psychic who is just trying to get by.
The story is like butter and reads so smooth and effortlessly, I could still read it in one sitting if I had the time.
Some of the best fanservice and light-echii moments that make this series one of my favorites of all time.
I am wondering if and what meta-narrative will start jumping out at me.

2020 Read #476
I don’t mind more “explicit” manga as far as nudity goes, but here it was a tad bit ridiculous, even with giving some room for humor’s sake. Even so, what I most enjoyed was the dynamic between Yuuna (who is a bit too much of a people-pleaser, but that’s a stereotype among Japanese women) and Kogarashi (who acts like a heterosexual teenage boy rather than a super-lech), though I don’t think that’s enough to draw me back for another volume. As it is, if you want a side of supernatural antics with your fanservice, then here’s a good pick.

Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
Autor: Tadahiro Miura (Historia y Arte).

Very sweet. I headcanon the protagonist as a butch lesbian though. Or a trans guy, maybe.

Lei era bianca… tremolò e svanì… come tenue vapore…
Do 7.5 al primo volume.

Exorcists, ghosts, and yokai! Oh my!
First up before mentioning anything else I have a warning for the prudish who find fanservice and harems to be the banes of the manga industry. That warning is this book (being part of the Ghostship line of Seven Seas Entertainment) is literally a running gag of cliches including accidental groping, panty flashing, and in case the title doesn't give it away some hot spring action so this might not be a manga for you.
For others if you can look past the lewdness you will see an interesting story about down and out Kogarashi who has had a rough life thanks to his sensitivity to being possessed by ghosts. To stand a chance against the ghosts who would use him he has trained in the art of physical exorcism (also known as beating the ghost into submission with his psionically charged fists.) After saving a couple from a (relatively harmless) yokai he is offered a chance to live at the hot springs rent free if he gets rid of the ghost. Little does he know that the ghost is not bad after all and a friendship bridging the living and the dead is built. Well at least the rent is still cheap at about a hundred bucks a month. :)
Now Kogarashi will have to use his abilities to survive accidental harem situations and dangers show their faces to him. Is his luck finally turning around or will his luck only get worse from here on out? Only time will tell. :)

I usually like ecchi stories especially comedy ones but this one seemed a little to bare bones for me. All these girls were introduced right out of the bat and you really only get to know 2 of the girls. This makes the girls seem more like walking tropes than actual fleshed out characters. The only exceptions are Yunna who I thought was adorable and Chisaki who’s introduced about halfway through the volume and you get to know a little about her. The other girls at the inn are never focused on individually i feel that makes me more detached from the story. I’m really disappointed that I didn’t like this as much as I thought I would. I have the second volume so I’ll read that next so I can decide if I want to return these or not.

I watched the anime for the series whenever it was new. Pretty sure it was the last notable Xebec series, and I think the studio actually died before the DVD specials came out later. Anyway, I always viewed this series as something like a successor to To Love Ru and, unfortunately, Jump has yet to find a successor to Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san, especially since the apparent controversy of this series's presence in the magazine as viewed by millennial mothers kinda-sorta led to the true successor to TLR, artist Kentaro Yabuki's Ayakashi Triangle, being pushed out of the print Jump magazine and forced into the more content-liberal digital-only Jump+ platform.
I believe I watched the anime as it was airing, so the anime didn't show nipples, as those are generally saved for the Blu-ray. As such, the manga tankobon provide some sense of "novelty," showing me the uncensored nipples of the ghost, yokai, and ninja women of this manga. And regular humans, too, since I'm pretty sure Chisaki has the most nipple appearances in this volume.
What can I even add? Miura is good at drawing boobs and pantyshots. Haven't seen enough asses to confirm his talent in that field. He draws better feet than Yabuki, but does not focus on them as much as Yabuki.

Yuragisou no Yuuna-san

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs is an ecchi harem manga starting Kogarashi Fuyuzora a ghost hunter who is renting a room with a ghost bounded to it Yuuna Yunohan. In an all female boarding house. Which leads to the disclaimer if you are not a fan of fan service than this is not your series my friend as it filled with it. Me personally I can take it or leave it. But at its heart Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs is a comedy. It the misadventures of a paranormal psychic that doesn't take itself too seriously as the protagonist is the greatest psychic ever who can one punch a ghost. Leading to the ultimate Gary Stu protagonist which annoys me to an extent but as a comedy it doesn't really matter. Which leaves me to the star of the book and it's the cast yuuna and her friends at Yuragi Inn. The series of comedic misadventures is funny to read and has really sold me on the series. There is a type of girl for everyone in the series to get into. Which leads me to a high recommendation of the series. It may not be for everyone but definitely my favorite ecchi.

Certainly a good start, but a wee bit more nudity than expected.
I didn't know that there would be full frontal female nudity in this series, nor perverse things like large-breasted girls in micro-kinis & school girl's panties being exposed. That's the drawback to buying e-manga from Amazon. There's not rating & no warnings of adult content. Personally, as a Southern Baptist, I'd prefer not too see gratuitous sex & nudity. I feel it's a cheap ploy to sell books. This story could be told just as well without straying into perverted territory. Art, great. Dialogue, fairly good. Characters, believable & likable. The story flows well.

A beautifully illustrated book.
I found the story & illustrations in this book excellent. This is the first time I have read this type of book & it was a pleasure for me from start to finish. It was different. I rate this book highly - five stars.
