Pitching to Win
Minka Braxton has pretty much kept to herself since a rather humiliating scandal rocked her sophomore year of high school. She’s avoided putting herself out there, and avoids boys like the plague. However with her senior year fast approaching, she’s made the decision to let the past go and enjoy her senior year with her friends. She never thought the town golden boy would take notice.
Owen Axel is the King of their small town. Back from college for the summer he spots a girl at a party and is immediately drawn to her. Little does he know, Minka isn’t like his typical conquest, she won’t make anything easy for him. As the summer passes, and the two spend more time together, feelings get real and hard to deny. When summer comes to a close will they come to an end as well?
Owen and Minka are absolutely amazing! This couple, I just couldn't get enough of them. I love Minka's toughness and she doesn't put up with Owen's crap. And Owen, that boy, he brought out the best sides of Minka just like she brought out the best in Owen. The truly did complement each other in the best way. Absolutely loved this book!
Hitting To Win
Chloe Trabucco is a phenomenal dancer. Her goal in life is to become a member of the best ballet company in the country. It’s not a question that she will be the dancer for her sorority in the Greek dance competition at her college. What she didn’t bet on was having Miles Farriston as a partner. The same Miles who she crushed on for years, only for him to shut her down…hard.
The last thing Miles Farriston wants to do is dance in the Greek competition, however when his fraternity gives him an ultimatum, dance or be kicked out, he reluctantly agrees to the dance competition. When he finds out who his partner is, he is less than thrilled. This competition turns into more than Miles bargained for, he can’t seem to shake the ever cheery Chloe. As they spend more time together, the question is, does he want to shake her?
Rollercoaster. If somebody asked me to describe this book with one word, rollercoaster would be it. From the beginning to the end this book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster of the best kind! This book kept me guessing, would they get together, would they not, would Miles ever stop being such a jerk? This book didn’t have a dull moment, and I enjoyed every part of it!

Kelsey O’Brien graduated high school, and from there on she spent time doing what she loves best, spending time on her family’s nature preserves. After months away in Africa, she comes back to Grover to spend time with her friends. Not much has changed since she’s been gone, but one thing has, Clint Bellows. Clint has changed from the heavy-set guy she used to know and has worked hard for the body he has now. Clint has wanted Kelsey since he laid eyes on her, but she has kept him firmly in the friendzone. When one night, takes them past the friendzone Kelsey is determined to push Clint back there but with some added benefits. Little does she realize; Clint isn’t going to go back there so easily.
Oh Clint, there is just something about him that melts my heart. He is such a sweetheart, and the way he loves Kelsey, even without her knowledge, is mesmerizing. This book is one of my favorites by Carrie Aarons, because I love sports, and I love the whole friends to lover’s aspect! Well done Carrie, thank you for giving us Clint and Kelsey!
Fielding to Win –
Parker Avery is a recluse for all intents and purposes. He doesn’t like people much, but he has to deal with them on a daily basis as a professional baseball player. He has been through things that most don’t know about and that he isn’t willing to share, but when he meets Brennan Raker, she makes him want to share. Brennan finds Parker attractive, there is no denying that, but he’s the type of guy she knows she should stay away from, but there is something about him that draws her in. The two have white hot chemistry, but both have pasts that haunt them daily. When Brennan gets news that could shatter her world, can the two finally admit their feelings and navigate this news together or are they better off alone?
PARKER. I have been wanting Parker’s story since we first met him in the ‘Over the Fence’ series and this book delivered! A short novella, we get a more in depth look at Parker Avery and a better understanding of why was the way that he was. This book had some tough parts to read in such a short story, but Carrie Aarons handled it flawlessly and with grace. She didn’t shy away from the tough stuff but wrote about it in a way that was both sensitive and raw. I fell in love with Parker and Brennan’s story, and they were a great addition. Parker needed his own story, and I love that we got to see Minka, Owen, Miles, Chloe, Clint, and Kelsey in his book!
