Okay, so I just finished reading #Shusmo, I couldn’t put it down as soon as I started reading it... it is a page turner!
I am going to start with the design, the colors, the simplicity of the book’s general appearance , I was impressed, I haven’t read many Arabic books, but I felt this one was different, it felt like I was holding an international best seller.
What I liked most about it, first of all, Khaled ElAhmad shared experiences, transparently, with names of companies and people operating in Jordan which I thought was refreshing, for two reasons, people who share lessons learned ( the good and the bad) are relatively rare these days.
Secondly, because it’s good to hear local names involved with Arab companies.. it makes the information (to me) a bit more valid.
Not to mention, his own personal experiences which I found truly enriching.
After finishing the book now I understand that social media is a skill that must be gained through attending a proper course!.
Furthermore, the book showcases how much of a significant change Facebook made, and will be making along with other social media platforms on our selves, our attention span and generations to come.
It was also useful to find tips on how to limit social media usage through utilizing technical tricks on our phones.
most importantly, the whole book came from a person who sees social media platforms as something that will support and improve businesses, products in marketing and branding ...etc) rather than the social media account being a product itself.
In conclusion, I would say this book should be distributed internationally, I did not know Khalid Elahmad before this book and I wanted to read it just to support Arabic and local content, yet while I was reading, I realized it was way more than just that!.
Best of luck #Shusmo
