Crestfallen
Her Sadness.
His disappointment.
Can they find a way to help each other even when death separates them?
Jezza Shale is on her way for a summer weekend getaway with her boyfriend. Upon arriving, at the Sandy Cove, she checks in and waits for him to arrive. He never shows. Torn between concern and rejection, she decides to take a walk on the beach which ends in disaster. Jezza wakes in the B B with no idea how she got there, but what’s worse—she’s a spirit trapped in room 223. Leaving everyone wondering, was she murdered or did she perish by her own hands?
Kelvin Dayton is a recent divorcee, has taken what’s left of his divorce settlement and invested it into a bed and breakfast on the west coast. Once he arrives, things start happening he can’t explain. Hearing the muffled cries of a female drifting from a second-floor room, he investigates and unknowingly releases Jezza’s spirit.
Able to roam the Sandy Cove, Jezza enjoys tormenting Kelvin, at least until he agrees to help her find out how she died. With each question they uncover, the answers start to bring them closer and ignite a passion neither can admit to.
Will the answers they discover, about her circumstances, be the key to their happily ever after or are both of them doomed to be, Crestfallen?

About the author
Kathy-Lynn Cross
19 books83 followersI started off as a California girl and lived in the state for a little over twelve years. We moved to Sparks, Nevada, for only a year before my mom moved the family to Las Vegas, Nevada, where I reside today.
The Unseen Series was inspired by the passing of my mother-in-law and then, six months later, my mom. It was a form of therapy for my family and me. The backdrop of Sin City seemed fitting for the reapers' play. To this day, I use my college English professor’s advice to write a little about what I know, then weave my twisted imagination into stories.
Writing wasn't a vocation I was actively pursuing. In 2008, when my niece was hospitalized, she was bored and restless. So I decided to do something special and wrote a short tale about a mermaid. After reading it, my niece and some of the nurses in the pediatrics wing asked, “What’s next?” I was shocked that she liked it so much that she had shared the tale with the nurses; it was a turning point that opened a new chapter. Now I've become a transcriptionist for my imaginary friends, and yes, even the villains', as they share their POV (point of view). Taking on this role helps me strive to be something different: Not a Teller, but a Storyweaver.
I love crimson and obsessively use it when I can, including my wiry grey and dark brown hair accented with dark red highlights. A few things cleanse my soul: reading my Bible, learning "healthy recipes" for baking, tending to my indoor plants, and gardening—when my fingers aren't clacking away writing mayhem. When I need a break from the book-world chaos, I normally take some time for myself on rainy days, when I can sit in comfy sweats, wrapped in my favorite blanket, with a cup of sugar-free French vanilla coffee and a story from my TBR list. The best days are with my husband of thirty-one years and hanging out with our daughter's two cats, Nora and Nalla.
