I think I need a palate cleanser. I thought this would be it, considering the main characters are both tops... but, no. Let's give it to Shikke, though, for her ingeniousness with character chemistries.

I've been reading non-stop smutty series like this one that I'm starting to feel empty. This is a subjective opinion on that part. Or, it just happened that it's not one of Shikke's best stories. I love sensei's art style so much, but the story just really didn't do it for me. I don't particularly like the kinky side as well, although it's not that rough and uncomfortable. It's too predictable, but the ending is cute, though.

I LOVED this. I loved how Kiumi wasn’t ashamed of hooking up and he personally wasn’t interested in doing it for money. He casually was like ‘oh no I have a job I just want us both to feel good.” WHAT A CUTIE. He did his own thing and was happy to do so.

Kuroki thought he was annoying especially with being so open about his sexuality, being closeted himself. Finding Kiumi drunk after a hookup gone wrong, he takes him home and when Kiumi comes onto him strongly, he gives in but makes Kiumi a bottom.

Dubious consent? Maybe. Kiumi is open to new things and Kuroki put a collar on him. I really enjoyed the kinky exploration.

Was Kiumi drunk? Yes
Did he want it? Grey area. He liked it but was also confused. kuroki didn’t ask permission, he just took control when Kiumi was expecting to because he was irritated. He’s got a dom streak in him. But does he care for Kiumi and keeps getting him out of trouble. He also knows Kiumi likes it rough once he comes back for more.

I loved LOVED the masturbation exploration by Kiumi after. I loved that he questioned what he liked and let himself figure it out.

THE NSFW WAS BEAUTIFUL. The sex positions were so beautiful. Very erotic and sensual.

I like how Kiumi wasn’t ashamed of his bruised neck from the collar when his friends pointed it out. They didn’t understand but also wanted to make sure he was okay. Kiumi enjoyed it (mostly. He did want it off because he felt like he wasn’t contributing anything during sex) and said it was consensual. He went back because he ENJOYED it. I love that this manga gave space for the characters to enjoy ‘taboo’ things and to take the time to explore what they enjoy. The end was so sweet and I MELTED.

yes, another reread. This reread was inspired by the fact I bought Sex Drop themed cookies. Idk anymore.

So the latest chapter on renta says to be continued and I had assumed it was like a two chapter bonus or something, but bakaupdates says this is two volumes? Is there a volume 2 coming that I've been unaware of?? Hopefully that gives me the relationship development I've been craving.

This can't be more than 4 stars for me because as much as I like it there just isn't enough of Shizume & Kiumi falling for each other. I want more moments between them beyond the bedroom. I can see how Kiumi fell for Shizume, but what about Kiumi did Shizume fall for other than just good sex and not being able to stop thinking about him. When they do get together it's absolutely adorable and I love the intimate moments between them, which is why I keep rereading. The sweet moment when Shizume kisses his forehead and cradles his head is EVERYTHING.

I'm just hoping volume 2 will bring more of their relationship because I would like to see it.

LOL not me rereading this again... If only I reread in March too then I would've had a reread a month. I honestly don't know why I like this so much that I feel the urge to pick it up again and again. It's a really quick read too, so I don't feel bad about rereading it when I have a huge tbr waiting for me.

This time though I wanted to reread, because I found out there was an official English on Renta under a different title, "Unexpected Attraction." So I bought it and read it.

Just felt the craving to reread after being on the PHJ new chapter high. I just adore Shikke's writing. While I still feel that it moves too fast, their relationship is still super cute and I love them. The ending is so wholesome!! I die.

Oof I am blushing~ that was a lot. I really enjoyed this one although I do feel like the relationship was lacking just the teensiest bit. I really like Shikke's art and writing and the characters they write.

I was intrigued at first. I love the author’s art style, it’s unique, and I really enjoyed pink heart jam. I must admit the author does a great job having the characters communicate, but there wasn’t much I enjoyed about this manga. I liked the kinky element at first, there wasn’t much communication about consent and all that though. So I get the one guy was closeted and that is difficult for both him and his partner. I’m glad he realized it’s difficult for his partner. But the story mainly seemed like they were both following what the top wanted. We didn’t even learn of the reason why he is closeted. Could it be the fact that he doesn’t like openly gay people, does that mean he has some internalized homophobia? Idk, but there wasn’t much no clear answer to that. I was a unique story by the author.

Came for the smut and was not disappointed (we love a top who's a little sadistic and rough😗😈🤤) Every time Kiumi would cry and end up passing out I'd get heart palpitations

Do we have some red flags? Yeah but they do get sorted out by the end and the communication ends up being exceptional.

One thing though, I wonder how long these two would survive IRL. While you definitely shouldn't force someone to come out, I feel like keeping your relationship a secret coz your partner is still closeted would eventually cause strain in the relationship. The strain did show during their overnight trip when the two couldn't even hold hands outside, in the dark, in an empty garden. Poor Kiumi almost cried

Wow, at first I really didn't like how this. The motivations for both to be together, how their dynamic was, the fact that they had no reason to be together other than horniness. But slowly but surely, the story started to unwrap well and the ending was really interesting. I can't say for sure if that was character development from the seme or if he was just a mature person but he handled the issue really well.

The ending was refreshing and made me appreciate the journey thus far, although frustrating at first. I did wonder if the author left the ending on a 'this could be continued' note on purpose or if I had ran out of translation. Which ever, I'm happy to wrap things there.

Teòricament, tots dos són tops, però una nit acaben junts per una carambola del destí i el promiscu fa de bottom per primera vegada i descobreix un món nou. There is basically smut in every BL, whether I want it or not, I’m getting indifferent or even annoyed with it. This manga though, did the smut so well. I don’t even know what it is, but it’s better than the usual BL smut.

The characters are interesting and I like their design and think the manga is well-drawn. The story is just about their relationship but it’s not boring. The only side character that are really introduced are the Uke’s friends but since there are some background characters appearing here and there it doesn’t feel empty.

La historia es algo cruda. El top era bastante agresivo físicamente, lo que no me terminaba de conversar al principio. A pesar, de que el uke estaba de acuerdo con todos. No se.

I enjoyed reading a story about a character who chooses to not be openly gay with a partner who is. It was a little different from the typical. The bdsm aspects felt a little fantasy, with no actual talk of safe words etc.
