Taken from his people as a child, he is trained to be a hunter for the humans. Alex spends his days gathering Kiya to work in the factories with the other Haydeans owned by the company.
Alex's only knowledge of the world outside The White City comes from the stories he hears from the other hunters. None of which are very pleasant as Haydeans hunt hybrids for sport. Their mixed blood is viewed as an insult to the proud humanoid race.
But when an opportunity to escape The Tower presents itself, Alex takes it. Despite the dangers, he races off across the desert and begins the long journey home to Hayden.
I first read it on Wattpad, and then again on Radish. I decided I wanted to read it again, but it's no longer available for free on either platforms, so I decided to buy it. Now I can read it again whenever I please. I can't get wit for the second book in this series to be released.
As always the author has me invested in the main character and created a story where you truly feel for the protagonist and cannot stand the villian. Evil that is most visceral, relatable evil. I hope I get to enjoy the next installment soon!
