Welcome to Summerland Lucy Carson isn't really looking forward to her honeymoon in Summerland. Can she still call it a honeymoon if her fiance, Greg, left her at the altar? Probably not.
The situation doesn't get better when she discovers that the bed and breakfast won't let her keep her reservation now that she's single.
But the residents of Summerland, the strangely idyllic and drowsy oceanside town, are happy to have her come to visit. And in a town where all the residents are young and stunningly beautiful, there's plenty to enjoy. Like Felix Graves, the darkly handsome owner of Sacred Grounds. Or Jack Wilder, the broad shouldered town recluse who lives in a cabin in the woods. Or even grumpy Dylan Waters, the lighthouse keeper who rents Lucy a little cottage. Not to mention Liam Smith, the rugged local handyman, and Raylon Beam, the mechanic with a smile that could blind a girl.
Things might start looking up for Lucy with neighbors like these, and maybe Summerland can give her a reason to stick around.
Now if she could just put her finger on what makes the town so mysterious...
Secrets of Summerland
Summerland seems like the perfect place for Lucy Carson after her fiancé left her at the altar. She has a seaside cottage to herself, and now a job as a baker at the local coffee shop. She also has the attention of several unbelievably good looking local men who seem happy to share her time. If only it didn't feel...too good to be true.
When strangers start rolling into Summerland for the upcoming midsummer festival the secret that every resident kept at the tip of their tongue seems ready to be revealed. But when the festival turns strangely dark, Lucy's not sure she's ready to know after all. The truth is something too big and impossible to be believed.
Is it time to pack up and return to Providence where her ex, Greg, is waiting for her to come to her senses? Or are the benefits of Summerland, and the men she's met, worth the risk of staying?
Leaving Summerland
Settling in Summerland was easy. Staying will be harder.
With every week in her new home Lucy realizes the divide between herself and her divine neighbors is wider than she realized. Nightmares plague her sleep, whispering locals leave her paranoid, and the secrets keep piling up when Jack and Liam leave town unexpectedly.
Is the cost of staying in a world where she doesn't belong, worth the rewards of the men she's met along the way? Lucy must fight for her place in Summerland, and possibly even Summerland itself in the action packed conclusion to the Summerland stories.
Kathryn Moon is a country mouse who started dictating stories to her mother at an early age. The fascination with building new worlds and discovering the lives of the characters who grew in her head never faltered, and she graduated college with a fiction writing degree. She loves writing women were are strong in their vulnerability, romances that are as affectionate as they are challenging, and worlds that a reader sinks into and never wants to leave. When her hands aren't busy typing they're probably knitting sweaters or crimping pie crust in Ohio. She definitely believes in magic.

i read this one because i trust kathryn moon and it was available on scribd, and i had no clue it's her debut!! solid book but not a favorite. i honestly wish it were more of a contemporary book than the non-human characters it ended up being because that felt under explained, but this had me hooked and was a quick and run read. i guess i'm unofficially making my way through kathryn moon's whole archive of books
2021 - This series has now become one of my comfort reads. Absolutely love how sweet it is. ---------- I seriously love Kathryn Moon. I put off this series because the books were so short, but when I saw the collection together like this on a day I just couldn't decide what to read I decided to go for it. I need more!! Gosh what a cool world and I adore the characters and seriously I keep thinking I need more!
A quick, steamy read. The steam was good, but the story could have used developing. The characters, the mythology, the world, the relationships. All of it would have benefited from further development. It all felt rushed, like the writer had a great idea for a book, and this is the summary of that book. Which is sad, since it was a pretty good idea.
Kathryn Moon has a really distinct vibe in her books and I love it. Summerland is so sex positive and in another writer's hands it could end up being an emotionless string of sex scenes, but I ended up loving all the characters and their relationships. Equal parts 🥵 and 😍.
I also really enjoyed the whole “what is this perfect little town hiding?” mystery - that plotline did not go where I thought it would.
Absolutely lovely. I’ve reread it four times now and it always hits just right. Just cozy coastal mysterious small town vibes and a sex positive FMC and a delightfully well developed RH of MMCs.

Jilted by her fiancé, Lucy goes on her honeymoon trip alone and ends up in Summerland, an adorable Town With A Secret. Now she's got a harem of hot dudes all up on her, and the entire town is ravenous for her baked goods. (That's not a euphemism.) Such a lovely cozy magical tale.
I don't know if it was because all three books of this series were so short, or there was too much smex, but I wasn't a huge fan of this.
I loved the premise and the characters, but... It seemed like everything moved hyper speed. She arrives in Summerland and notices that there is a lot of eye candy. Then she bangs one and next thing you know she's banging them all. The entire time I'm thinking... "isn't she supposed to be like a jilted bride or something?"
Which, cool, she's over her ex. Love it. Great. But, it all just moved so quickly. There really isn't much romance or story development. There's her bangin it out with one guy, then the next guy,(then those two guys together) and then another guy. Then ... she bangs another few guys, and then she's deciding whether she wants to stay in Summerland, and then and THE END.
I think maybe shorter books aren't for me? I liked this, just wish it was more. Everything kind of rushed through and BAM! The book ends.
Anyways. Shortness aside, this was a good read (if you don't mind a heroine who just bangs it out left and right after meeting them). So yeah...
This started off as straight erotica, but a plot slowly developed, that was actually quite interesting. Minor grammatical errors (skipped words). I didn't love it, but I also didn't hate it. I wanted the main character to have some darkness, but she was all light.
I volunteer as tribute 4.8 / 5.0 This is super spicy, fun, and has a great happy ending. I low key wish the drama with the ex and the end were more angst, but it does well. No complaints, the smut is good, cannot fault paranormal RH goodness, and happily recommend to anyone that enjoys this genre.
Really enjoyed this completed trilogy! I got a discounted signed paperback earlier this summer and I was determined to read the physical book and it got me through some travel and exercises (I read while on my recumbent bike!) and I was so happy to get through this trilogy and reminisce about the stories of Summerland!
Lucy is a great FMC, she has spunk and tenacity. She has had to overcome people not treating her right and lucks out and find her future in the secret god world of Summerland. We get to meet some delicious sexy gods, see their specialties peek through (loved the play on their names!) and see them let Lucy in and become more than just neighbors and coworkers haha. This is a fast-paced, high heat RH and I loved she never had to choose. Some of the gods in her harem weren’t expected, but I loved it regardless. It was hard to pick a favorite as they all had scrumptious traits (loved Hades’ thoughtfulness, seeing Poseidon’s grumpy nature dissolve but be as chaotic as a storm, how how competitive 2 of the guys were with giving Os haha, etc.) but the biggest surprise was the last member added and how she finally allowed their relationship to go to the next level. I laughed and smiled a lot while reading this story. So many good small town issues, the bakery was fantastic, and the gossip around town haha.
Storyline made its appearance really in book 2. I thought the main issue was going to be her ex but that was just a subplot. We get to see the gods for what they really are, to see their powers unleashed, and all those personalities coming together to rescue those kidnapped and being siphoned for their powers. Won’t give anything else away, but everything speeds up a bunch in book 3.
Books were 4 or 4.5 stars from me in this series, overall giving it a 4 stars because somethings didnt flow 100% for me, but I did enjoy the character and world building a lot ❤️
I very happily received this completed series in a giveaway the author held in one of the book groups that I’m part of on Facebook. The completed Summerland stories with bonus content (each story in the book being from short story to novella length). I was really happy to read this book over the past week because even though I have projects that need finishing and course work that needs to be completed and don’t really have time to sink neck deep into a book or series, I don’t really feel myself or feel completely me if I’m not reading at some point in the day/night, so this book was tgg the perfect fit for me. The book is RH/Whychoose Romance with the story from the heroine’s POV and as each book in the series is short story to novella length I think it did well with worldbuilding , characterisation, etc. In any case, if was an enjoyable read for me 🤷🏻♀️
So I started off by reading a Lady of Rooksgrave Manor by Kathryn Moon and wanted more of her reverse harem stories so I read this one next. It's an urban fantasy/contemporary setting. A completely normal girl gets dumped by her fiance on their wedding day and so she goes on their honeymoon to Summerland alone. Turns out the town is full of hot young people who are slightly weird. She eventually finds out that the men she ends up sleeping with and baking for are gods, yep gods. I couldn't buy that these gods basically were worshiping her even though she's just an average girl. Also, one of the guys Raylon had a scene that was supposed to be emotionally impactful, but wasn't because he's barely in the book compared to the rest of her men. Other than those two qualms I did enjoy the books in this collection despite how short they were.
This author is a literary genius. The characters are always, in EVERY one of her books, so fleshed out that no one gets forgotten and it’s not confusing. The LOVE I feel while reading her books amazes me. My brain is terrible at making its own serotonin but literally any one of her books will 100% put a smile on my face. The steam is, again as always, 100/10 because no one writes a scene like THAT like she does. I was so sucked into this small town and Lucy’s life. I never wanted it to end. Everything about it was just so sweet and perfectly imperfect. And sometimes I really need more sweet imperfection in my life.
This was ok I suppose as I did finish it. Unfortunately I did find it lacking, the storyline was weak at best and I really think the author missed a trick here as the idea of the story is sound. I do like a bit of saucy and RH, however I found myself skipping chunks of it as it was boring and it lacked the pull of an exciting story. It didn’t pull any emotions from me, this could have been countered by much more humour. Had potential but in the end was disappointing, sorry.
I usually love Kathryn Moon, but this one was lacking to me. The main snag for me is that all of the relationships felt lacking. Typically KM's harams have one weak link that you can ignore bc they don't add anything except one sex scene, but this story felt like it had at least two that could have been edited out in order to more fully develop the rest.
The story itself was interesting once it got started, though it was annoying that it didn’t actually start up until half way through.
I’ve reviewed each book contained in this collection individually and they are all delicious. Quick, light-hearted, and steamy. Each book gives a little more insight into the lives and relationships of Lucy and her Gods. This collection also includes a short sexy story about Lucy and Nick.
Was this book a little ridiculous at the start? Yes. Was it the perfect read for when I was moody after having my weekend plans cancelled? Absolutely. Definitely calling this one a comfort read, and I’m sad that it’s already over. I just want everything about this world to be developed more so that I can keep reading.
This series is a wonderful little comfort reverse harem. I loved the different men and what they brought to the table. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything by this author I wouldn’t read again and again. If you want something to leave you warm and gooey inside with your favorite parts of reverse harems this series is for you!
I can see the DNA of so much of Kathryn's later work on this one, and I enjoyed it very much. I would love to see what she would do with this concept now, and as always, she does a great job of making multiple men distinct. And I swooned every single time Lucy made food, I can't wait to try some of her baked goods myself.
Sensational. The journey, the detours, the ride and the experience- simply sensational. Everything I have come to expect from Kathryn Moon! Sweet magic, strong characters, steamy sexy encounters and engaging plots. Loved the bonus story, very satisfying.
Sweet and adorable reverse harem. I'm trying to catch up on marking stuff as read and it's been awhile since I've read this so I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but it is a series I could see myself re-reading as a comfort read.
Nice series. The last book held so many twists and turns that started after I was 70% in, you wouldn't have expected the book to end. The ending seemed like a bunch of random ideas were put together, but I liked it overall.
What a sweet read, I absolutely enjoyed the feeling of this book, where Kathryn Moon mixes a supernatural aspect in a contemporary setting. I loved how we discovered Summerland with the FMC and binged this collection in one sitting.
So. Good. I sincerely hope there are more Winterport books coming cause that was amazing and I wanna read about little god babies and more shenanigans.
