Continues the ‘new gotham’ two tone stuff for around 2 thirds of the book and then starts the ‘murderer’ arc in the last third.
Superman issue felt like pointless filler but otherwise the tie ins mostly worked well.
It’s strange to read the story like this because despite the story itself blending from new Gotham to murder, the art and tone just suddenly changes drastically and is quite jarring.
Its very much a book of two halfs, one focusing on a bodyguard getting to know bruce/batman and the other, a littering of everyone who knows Bruce is Batman, trying to help him and tying all those other books into this ‘bat family’ story.
So far it’s still a fun read but not as concise an experience as the shorter murderer/fugitive trade paperbacks.
