A recovering lawyer, Ann Christopher has been published since 2006 and writes steamy contemporary romance.

When she’s not writing, Ann likes to do the following, in no particular order: read; cook; eat; hang out at Target looking for new stuff she doesn’t need; play with her 2 rescue dogs
and 2 rescue cats; and travel the world with her family. She lives in Ohio.
If you’d like to recommend a great new TV show or share a recipe for homemade cake of any kind, Ann would love to hear from you!

I’m a huge fan of everything Ann Christopher writes, but this one was special. Neither Sean Baldwin (a tried and true cynic when it comes to romance) nor Amber Garvey who has every reason not to trust a good looking guy, are looking for romance. Unfortunately (or fortunately as the case may be) when Sean gets a glimpse of Amber in a coffee shop in small town Journey’s End, his number is up. He tries to chase her down and loses her in a crowd, which could make for a very short story.

Except he sees her again a few days later as both are getting ready to board a train for Manhattan. Sean’s interviewing for a job as a chef and Amber, a model, is meeting with her agent. At first she’s not interested when he approaches her, but things happen that put them together for the ride into the city.

This is the kind of book where you find yourself rooting for the determined guy and wishing the heroine didn’t have so many perfectly logical reasons to keep her distance, but watching the two of them work things out, and especially watching Sean really take all the right steps as the two of them fall deeper into love with one another is one of the sweetest, sexiest “feel good” books I’ve read in a while.

I’ll admit, though, that I’ve never read one by Ann Christopher I’ve not enjoyed, and I loved her reminder that Sean first appeared as a secondary character in her 2006 book, Trouble, one I’d actually read in 2006. But since an updated version was free on Amazon, I’ve downloaded the ebook to remind myself what I loved about Sean in that first book. It’s fun to connect the dots on how even less than heroic guys can grow up and be perfect heroes in their own stories.

The Journey’s End series has a number of books with a few “sub-series” in the same setting. It’s really fun to see all the characters who pop in and out of the books, but it’s not necessary to read them in order to enjoy any of them, though it is fun when you know the stories behind all the couples.

I hadn’t read much of Ms. Christopher’s books in the past few years, but when I discovered Journey’s End, I went back and bought all the others in the various series. And yes, they’re all great stories. I definitely recommend SOMEBODY TO LOVE, just as I recommend all her other books.

Enjoy!

Excellent Story!

One of the greatest strengths Ms. Christopher has as a writer is her ability to convey such raw emotions! I barely recovered after reading Isaiah's story and now here we are with Sean and Amber. I adored how they met! I just assumed they met somewhere in Journey's End, but this meeting was much more memorable. Although I really liked Reeve, I always felt bad for Amber and truthfully always had a bit of a side eye for Edward.😑 So I'm glad Amber got her closure and her great love with Sean. I loved Sean from the first time he appeared in Daniel's story. I'm glad he got healing with his brother and that he got his shot to be the shining star. I can't wait to see how their future unfolds in the glimpses we'll see in upcoming JE stories.

I love a mystery, but I love a lighthearted romance (it’s called duality people!) too. I stumbled upon Sean, Mike, and Dara in Ann Christopher’s “Trouble” — which is still one of my favorites to reread periodically. I’m not sure why it took me FOREVER to read Sean’s love story.

In “Trouble”, Sean is written as the screw up compared to Mike, his older, more successful brother. He meets Dara in law school and falls hopelessly in love, while this book is more about Dara and Mike’s romance.

Now, Sean has his chance at happiness away from his brother and his shadow. Sean’s open to love in journey’s end and he’s on the right track life-wise. Will he finally get HIS happily ever after?????

Excellent reading!

The author is entertaining and captivating with her written words. I have read, " Journey's End", "The Warner Family " and "Journey's End Billionaires " and a few others. I swear that she has the " twins" and "Ella " walking around in her head. I can feel the twins restlessness and Ella's precocious nature.

In addition, the author states in her bio that she is a recovering lawyer. Well with "Amber" getting closure and "Sean" getting years worth of angst with his brother she must have a psychologist dancing in her brain too.

Alrighty then!

So, I've been eagerly waiting for Sean's story since we first encountered him in Journey's End and I realized that he was thee Sean Baldwin. I've been wondering what happened to him since he got his heart broken in Trouble. So nice to see his growth and maturity! I loved how the Harpers took him in and accepted him as one of their own.

While I must admit that I was initially a little skeeved out about him and Amber (a little close for comfort), she was exactly what he needed. And he was the perfect guy for her. And Ella! Amber had baggage but the way Sean manned up, all on his own, was a wonderful thing.

I reread Trouble before reading this book and I can't tell you how happy I was to catch up with Mike and Dara. They continue to be one of my favorite couples. So happy to see Serena, too. Her and Ada meeting for the first time was the cutest.

I loved the way all the interpersonal relationships played out. I fell in love with Edward and Reeve in their story. The author did a great job here of walking the fine line of showing why Edward was wrong for Amber, while continuing to make him a lovable guy. And the strain between Amber and Reeve was so real. And so funny. I can tell these two will be good friends.

Love, love, love Journey's End! Fingers crossed that you finally cut Dr. Jerry some slack and let him find love. His story is gonna be hilarious!

Sean and Amber, a matched pair!

Sean had no clue that the woman who so thoroughly captured his attention at Java Nectar was the former girlfriend and mother of Edward Harper's daughter Ella until they all met on the sidewalk the morning of the fire at Harper Rose Bistro. Poor Sean was feeling all sort of Deja vu after losing his first love to his older brother and now seeing that possibly Amber was not fully over Edward. So those two went through their issues, Sean and his brother cleared the air about their issues, Edward and Amber cleared up their issues and finally Amber let go her ill feelings toward Reeve thereby setting the stage for the Harper clan and all of their extended family and friends to grow closer and further populate Journey's End. I loved Sean and Amber's story and perceive that Dr. Jerry and Dr Gabrielle may be the next pair to get their happily ever after!!! What say ye Ann? I really enjoyed this book.

Sean's & Amber's Story is Awesome!!❤❤❤❤❤

Somebody To Love: Journey's End Lovers, Bo ok 1 is everything I needed. I first met Sean in the book , "Trouble" by Ann Christopher, this was many years ago. I very been reading and rereading her books ever since. I have just about all of them. I've been waiting for Sean's story and I'm not disappointed at all , I loved it! Sean has matured into a straight forward, tell it like it is, and confident sexy man. Sean and Amber's story is both heartwarming and sexy. Amber has been disappointed in love, so she's totally thrown off guard by Sean's straight forward and honest personality. They fall fast! Amber has baggage from a past relationship but Sean is all in! Fantastic characters as always. Anytime I visit Journey's End I'm given a feast. We're also reunited with Mike, Sean's brother, and his wife Dara along with Sean's mom. Check it out, you'll love it!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I looked forward to this book after reading Trouble which was the first of the series.
The story is about Sean and Amber who met by a train station. She takes him home after a first date, and after an explosive sexual encounter, they develop chemistry and want to be together.
It was an okay read for me.
I have to admit that even though this book was nice, I prefer book one.
Sean was quite whiny to me. Whiny and immature. The woe is me attitude he displayed persistently turned me off.
Amber too had a bit of a bitchy attitude. Especially when it came to her ex—The father of her daughter—who was extremely nice.
All in all, it was a good read because of the great chemistry the author demonstrated between the main characters.

Good guys don't finish last

Can a good good catch a break? My heart went put to Samuel. He tried so hard from his job to his girl . Can we get a herion who's so fierce that she'll have her exes asking why they broke up with her? Amber got on my nerves. She started out fierce then fizzled out. Too many unanswered questions with Samuel "s brother also

Chaos to Caring

Sean and Amber have pasts that have made them cynical and guarded. Journeys End is the town to give them a new beginning. With family and the other characters surrounding them, life could only get better.
