Prince Edward County is a place of stories—of farming equipment gone awry, Horn Trips, unruly vineyards, Meat Rolls, and more. These are the stories you’re likely to hear over a beer or glass of wine (or two), at the post office or from a neighbour, at a funeral or a family reunion—the local legends, intergenerational tales, historical anecdotes, and funny and fond memories that capture the magic of the County.

Picked this up while I was back visiting Prince Edward County. It was on my radar as I know the illustrator so when I saw it at Books and Company it got added to my pile. Like most anthologies you may not necessarily enjoy every story but I am glad I bought it. My mother's family were County people so some of the stories really reverberated for me.

Probably of most interest to County residents, this charming book of stories recounts tales of living in and moving to PEC. But the stories will resonate with anyone who knows country life or has upended and moved elsewhere.

Full disclosure, a friend has a hilarious piece in the book about his adventures trying to date in the County.
