let us all pretend that I've read this book and the protagonist(s) are the the worst main character(s) of all time.

Edit: (I saw the emptiness of my only 1 star review and thought I could just possibly hate it more.)

Okay, so guys... in my inability to actually hate a book i managed to be capable of the latter? It's surprising actually, to hate one of the world's greatest (and thickest) books by an equally admired Author, and manage to complains about it too.

In the information that I've learned about it (which contains chatgpt résumés that I've made sure were detailed and the help of my trusty friends), Its about a group of revolutionnaires that suffered the consequences of the late 19th century punishments for those who are différent? correct me if im wrong. But that sounds respectfully like bullshit to me now because of all the ( I think are far-fetched copies) tropes that are really similar! So instead of feeling any empathy like any emotion-filled human being, I just think and go, "oh but *character from show or book* had it worse!" So on and so forth.

All of the smart fellows in the French class, (which I call try-hards but in their defence im the same in English) find it absolutely amazing and a wondrous masterpiece in the core learning of dead ways to conjugate a verb (french is a made-up language), but as I say, It's bullshit.

I couldn't care less about the old, decrepit, hates-his-life, Jean Valjean that stole bread and did 19 years of worked imprisonment or whatever that i thought at the start that he would be low-key hot and the BeAuTiFuL lady who sold her teeth and hair for her daughter only to get scammed. I feel scammed. I feel pity for my mom having to forcefully buy it for me. I'm reselling it and winning money. Stop me.

Bottom line is, I hate my soul for trying and not trying. shit's hard, man.

Le début est très long et assez pénible mais lorsque Marius apparaît, c'est de suite plus intéressant

I don’t think I could handle the full version but I absolutely loved this book! There was something really emotional about reading how French people lived hundreds of years ago.

I’m glad I didn’t read it in school though, I don’t think I would have appreciated it back then.
