Ali Parker is a full-time contemporary and new adult romance writer with more than a hundred and twenty books behind her. She loves coffee, watching a great movie, and hanging out with her hubs. By hanging out, she means making out. The man is hot. Hello. She’s a creative at heart and loves coming up with more ideas than any one person should be allowed to access. She lives in Tennessee with her hubs, teenage son, two grown daughters, and two love-of-her-life grandbabies! Telling a good story that revives hope, reminds us of love, and gives a vacation from life is all she’s up to.
The chapters are short and the story is pretty on to the point and literally a no angst/drama novel. More like a novella than a full novel. I was expecting a little more cuteness when the blurb involved a vet and animals but they were pretty much pushed to the back of the story.
Not so sure if I'll give the second book a chance though. Also I'm not sure if I was mistaken but wasn't Raina supposed to have blonde hair but the girl in the cover is a brunette?
The book does not have an ending, but you must read the next to continue the story. I won't be bothering to. "About the Author" states she has written over 120 books. Her writing in this book sure does reflect so much experience. I thought the writing was amateur. Her research minuscule. For example...Raina is a veterinarian. She says that she is "elbow deep in a pile of dog crap..." & "but this is how you check for worms,.." All they do is a smear of dog crap to check for worms. Get your veterinary facts straight. And then secondly, a newly adopted dog from a supposedly reputable shelter/rescue needs to be brought in to the vet to see if it's had all it's vaccines. Na uh. A reputable shelter/rescue will have those records for you. If no records were found, the shelter/rescue will have administered the vaccines PRIOR to adoption. These may be just little items to others, but being in dog rescue for 15 yrs. These misconceptions REALLY bug me.
This is a beautiful slow-burn love story. Raina and Harry are destined for each other but it takes them a while to recognize it. He's a single guy raising his niece with no time or interest in a love life. She's the vet who rescues them when an abandoned puppy enters their lives. Once I started this book I found it hard to put down. Overflowing with emotion and no shortage of drams. Well-written strong characters and an engaging story.
This was a great story and was very entertaining. Once I started I could not put it down. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling hot. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great love story.
This was a good read. Raina and Harry were both set up on a dating app by other people. They end up being set up with each other. Of course they hit it off with each other. They have have ups and downs in this relationship. However, in the end it all works out.
At first i liked it but then a hundred pages in and it started getting boring, plus the narration in this took too long. I was pretty excited when i read the blurb and it included dogs but I couldn’t have it in me to continue. Sorry
I seldom DNF books. but this one just doesn't click with me. too much naration, some scenes/thoughts were mentioned a lot of times, like a looooot. insta-love that just didn't work.
Accidentally All of Me Book 1 is a contemporary romance novel by Ali Parker. The story is about a guy named Harry who is the guardian of his 10 year old niece, Winnie. Winnie's mom, who was Harry's younger sister, passed away a year earlier in a horrible car accident. One day when Harry was about to drive Winnie to school, Winnie noticed an old dog huddled around their car's rear tire. Harry and Winnie rushed the dog to the nearest veterinarian's office where Harry saw the prettiest woman he had ever seen, and she introduced herself as Riana, who was the veterinarian.
Riana loves animals and always wanted to become a veterinarian. She and her good friend, who has taken a break from work after the birth of her son, opened the practice together several years earlier. One day Raina gets a call from her brother and he tells her that he has signed her up with a dating service, and that she has a date on Friday night. Raina is furious with her brother for doing this, but agrees to go on the date if he takes her off of the dating site after the date. When Raina arrives at the restaurant where she is to meet her date, she manages to get there first. After she's seated at the table, who does she see walking towards her but Harry. It seems that his best friend had also set him up with the same dating service, and since he hadn't dated since he had become Winnie's parent, he decided to go on the date. Harry is quite pleased to see that Raina is his date, and she seems quite pleased to see him, as well.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters are interesting and the story is good, but it is a cliffhanger. The story continues in Accidentally All of Me Book 2.
As per usual, Ali Parker never seems to let me down when it comes to telling a romantic story. I can just finished reading the end of a 14 book series the Casanova Club, it was worth my purchasing each and every one. It doesn't matter if it's a series or a novella, I would highly recommend any of her books and this one is no exception. This is the story of Harry Porter, who is a billionaire CEO of a tech company in Portland. His sister has recently died in a car accident 😢 so he stepped up and became her daughter's guardian. He is Winnie's uncle and since he is the one his sister would want to care for her since the father had checked out when she was a baby. So all the relatives Harry had left was his grandfather and his niece. Then their is Raina Walters, who has a twin brother Reed. Raina is a Veterinarian and her brother is a lawyer. Raina first meets Harry when he was backing out of his driveway and this little furry thing is by the tire. They ended up taking the dog to Raina Walters who was closest Veterinarian office. They are attracted to each other even then, not knowing they were going to be set-up on a date. Harry was set up by his assistant Yara and Raina by her twin brother Reed. They meet at a restaurant and when they saw each other they weren't so upset that they were on this date. The date went well but Raina got cold feet about another date. The story begins again for them when Winnie finally convinces her Uncle Harry to get a dog and he asks Raina for help. Wonderfully written story. I thoroughly enjoyed Rains and Harry's story and so will you. I highly recommend this book.
Only buy this book if you want to buy all 3 to actually read the full story!
Whilst this book is well written and lovely neat warming characters, it ends abruptly and ensures one must perchance the next book... in doing so there is minimal character or plot development, a new "cliff hanger" is put in place and you are required to purchase the next book...
A series that should have been just 1 book made into 3 got pure financial gain... of you don't want to buy 3 books when you can buy 1 avoid this!
The first in this series starts off just so-so. Nothing really sparked my interest enough to say, “I’ve got to keep reading this!” It was OK. It is super short and I’ll be honest, I skimmed a good portion of it without really missing much. All of the scenes run into one another and are repetitious. The writing does not engage the reader in the story, it merely tells the reader what is going on. There is potential for this to be so much more. It just isn’t.
Tenía potencial ash This was cute but so slowww and I don't mean slow burn I mean too much inner monologue and unnecessary description. This was slow. It has a second part, but I don't think I would be reading itbecause I'm okay with how this one ended. So bye. The premise got my attention y estoy decepcionada.
Quaint, enjoyable story about a young billionaire raising his deceased sisters daughter and the special veterinarian he unwittingly meets.
Lovely story about a young veterinarian who absolutely loves her profession and a billionaire who is raising his niece. A new little dog brings them all together in this touching story.
The tone of this sweet book has an atmosphere of heaviness, of grief with hope nesting on the fringes, no quite able to break through the sadness...yet. I'm very glad that there is more to their story. And that I'll get more of them as well as Winnie and Tina.
BTW: is it just me or is Tink an odd name for a BOY dog? ;)
This book really wasn’t for me. It was pretty cheesy at points. It felt like it was drug out at some points, but then rushed at others. The ending reveals that this couple’s story continues on for three books, and that the ending isn’t really an ending. I wasn’t crazy about this writing style, I wasn’t invested in the characters or the story. I will not be continuing the series.
This is a great book. The story was great &well written. The characters were great & kept your interest. Some parts were a little sad but there was loving & funny parts to. The disappointing part is you get into it & find out that it is a cliffhanger.
This was a good book, but just to warn the reader it does have a cliff hanger at the end of it so you do need the next book in this series of you want to know what happens.
Rains and Harry meet after her brother and his best friend set them up on a dating site blind date. They both enjoyed the date, but let career and obligations overshadow their feelings. Eventually a canine unites them again and the sparks fly.
Harry is the most loving and caring uncle to his niece Winnie! I loved that about him. I also love Raina she absolutely amazing! She cares for all the animals. So it doesn't surprise me that a dog brought them together. Can't wait to see what happens next in their story. 🐕❤
It's a cute story and lays down the groundwork for the rest of the series. The characters were fine. The story moved along nicely. I can't wait to see what happens next. Oh, and Winnie is adorable!
Well, Winnie and Tink are absolutely delightful. The book starts off on a sad note but Harry is such a good, good man that I couldn’t help being happy that he found love.
Looks like fate was at work when a dog helped introduce this man and this woman!🤗😉
He lost his sister in a car accident! He is now raising his niece! Will he be a good father figure!? A little dog helps fate along! I bet you enjoy book one of this series! I did!😊😄
This was a sweet flirtation between two people that were busy living their lives when they were setup on a blind date by those closest to them. Watching their story play out was cute, and definitely slow burn, but worth the wait. I’ll be jumping into book 2.
This was an intense read. I loved all the dynamics of the story. I loved how he stepped up to raise Winnie and trying to make sure she had what she needed.
