Marteeka Karland's Cain and Angel were so hot together
Reread! I love Prez Cain and his Bones MC! Did I mention how Angel Black was able to hold her own with ruthless Cain! Poor Slash didn't have a chance against Cain and his men though!

Cain, Prez of the Bones MC was in a pickle! He and his club were caring for three kids who had adopted his MC. Yes, Cliff, Daniel and Suzie had adopted the MC to protect them from some very bad and ruthless people. So the club hired a sexy teacher, Angel Black who growly Cain had been lusting after since her first day on the job (although he gave her mean stares)... hoping she would leave because he didn't want to be in any type of relationship with the prim and proper Miss! But when Angel was assaulted on the MC property by another MC, her past was discovered and Cain decided to claim her as his own Old Lady no matter what!
I loved reading this engaging, fast-paced MC story ! True, Cain was an a**hole but he was also loyal, possessive, protective; honorable and a strong alpha who took care of business!
Can't wait to read about the other alpha members of the Bones MC!

Normally if a book has been rated this low by me I don't even bother with a review but this time I am.

I hate absolutely hate having to write a negative review, but sorry when I buy a book, I want to actually enjoy it, not cringe with horror at what I am reading, not because its upsetting or scary but because I can't actually believe this has been released to the public.
This was not enjoyable at all, I felt like the book started half way through a story, there is no back story at all, Who was Cain? who was Angel? who and where, were the childrens real parents?, and what happened to them?. Who were Pops and Mama?,
In one part of the story it was so unbelievable I had to read it twice to make sure I had read it correctly. Angel was apparently druged and repeatedly raped by a gang of bikers, and her idea of how to fix it was to go to a pharmacy and get the morning after pill !!! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. What about diseases what about trauma what about going to the police, even if you were scared, they kidnapped and violated you and you just went to the pharmacy I am still shaking my head while writing this. I can not believe that a female author wrote something so ridiculous so insensitive that its just unbelievable.
I would have screamed the place down, and no one would have touched me ever again, I most certainly wouldn't be jumping into bed with another biker that's for damn sure.
There was a lot of violence but no reason why or if there were reasons it was briefly touched on. For me this book was nothing more than how fast Cain could get Angel into bed, regardless of background or whether she actually wanted to, it was just a forgone conclusion. This is my first read from this author and my last if this is what she puts out, I have read other reviews and all I can say is they must be easily pleased because in no way what so ever does this deserve a 5 star rating. It is an awful book. The sad part about it is with some actual thought this could have been a phenomenal read, the bikers were more than just bikers they were all Special Forces. I can't write so sounding off about a book is not nice for me.
If you are going to write about subject matters such as child abuse, kidnapping drugs and rape, please please write responsibly and not so whimsical it has a damaging effect on the rest of the romance genre, where there are some extremely talented writers who do their research and write accordingly, with sympathy some level of understanding and not just a titilation.. I find my self at a loss why someone would give a book 5 stars when its awful. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to read this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its taken me longer to think about the words I wanted to say in my review.

Running and Defending
Cain has his eyes on Angel Black. And there ain't no one who's going to get in his way to claiming her. 🔥❤️🔥
A lot of change is packed into a short timeframe, in this over-the-top dark and steamy quick listen. I do like the overall storyline and the reactions between Cain and Angel, but this is one book I really would've liked to have seen lengthened and developed more. There's so much more story for these two.

I love the writing in the story and the characters are made to be so fascinating the reader just wants more. The primary characters are interesting but there are teasers of the other characters that makes me think why, how, when, etc. The thirst for the knowledge will draw any reader back because who can resist a good mystery. If you love an MC story with sexy bikers and equally strong women then give Cain and Bones MC a read. It is my first book by Ms. Karland but it will not be my last.

What can I say about Cain? It had just enough action, steamy sex scenes, and engaging characters that pulled me in and wouldn't let go. While it wasn't near long enough (because I wasn't ready for it to end), I can't wait to see who comes next in the series. Watching these alpha men fall is going to be one heck of a ride!

Marteeka Karland is a new to me author, and I will be watching for more from her. This is a quick introduction to the Bones MC club, and it features their President, Cain. Cain has allowed the club to take in 3 children and has hired a teacher to aid them with their schooling. Not really understanding why the kids showed up on their doorstep, he still feels the need to protect them. He does have his eye on their teacher, Angel. She is extremely protective of the 3, and will do what she needs to do to keep them safe. But what danger are they in? And what drew her to the club? Is she attracted to Cain? So much packed into this novella, and the suspense is thrilling! I enjoyed this start, the meeting of the club members, the way they took the children in and Cain! It may be fast, but it's a steamy, exciting listen.
Ada Sinclair brings it all to life with a wonderful performance. She too is new to me, and her voices are clear and distinctive. Her pacing is perfect and she is in tune with the story. I will be looking for more of her narrations in the future.

The story was short, but enjoyable. I like a fairly short book to put on whilst I do household chores and can finish in one long session. A lot of action was packed into two and a half hours. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes MC romance. I’ll definitely be reading more of the series. This was so unbelievable, it makes me chuckle. One thing for sure you can finish it in less than an hour.
The whole story happens in 24 hour span. Hero hates heroine for being hot, her past comes out, they do the deed, he produces a vest, and bam they are parents to 3 kids.

This is book one of this series. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a great job of bringing the story to life. I would listen to other books that she has narrated.
At no fault of the narrator, I do think that it would’ve been easier to understand the book if the events with Cain and Angel were specified. It was sometimes hard to tell what was going on because they were in two different places but both of what was happening with them was told at the same time. It also made it seem like it was told in Angel’s view in first person and Cain’s view in third person.
This is definitely a quick read that can be read in less than a day. It was a quick enemies to lovers turned insta love, he falls first story. While it was enjoyable and their chemistry couldn’t be denied, I still didn’t really connect with either of them.
There was no history, long or brief, of anyone in this story. Nothing about Cain’s background except that he had some military experience and something to do (or did, it wasn’t specified) with the government. There was no history or explanation about who Mom and Pop were or the other members of the club except their roles.
The only history we got on Angel was that she had a traumatic experience with another motorcycle club and instead of seeking therapy, a doctor and/or going to the cops, she got a plan b pill and ran. But how far did she run before she found Cain’s club?
Cain and his club took in three underage kids they didn’t know (which I loved and thought was great). They hired Angel to teach them instead of making them go to school and causing the law to get involved, again that was very considerate. This is where it get a tad unbelievable, or hard for me to understand, where are their parents? How did they find Cain’s club? How did they get involved with the other motorcycle club? How did they get away from the other club?
While it was a good read and the bones of a great story is there, it needs a lot of beefing up. I felt like I got the middle of a story with no beginning or end. Although this wasn’t a favorite of mine, I am willing to give Marteeka Karland another shot.

Cain is first in Marteeka Karland’s Bones MC series. I enjoyed meeting the men of the Bones MC. Cain is the president and knows Angel will change his world. But is he ready for that change?
I love how protective both Angel and Cain were. Both of them wanted to protect the children in their care. Angel is determined to do what is best for them even if it isn’t her. She beards the lion, or Cain, in his den so that the children’s needs will be met. I love that Ms. Karland gave us a strong-willed character in Angel. Even though Cain scared and made her uncomfortable she would fight for the kids in her care. I loved Cain. He is gruff but alpha. He is fighting what Angel is beginning to mean to him. That is until danger comes knocking! And then all bets are off.
I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read by Ms. Karland. The chemistry between Angel and Cain feels real and believable. Love is fast. The emotions are real. And the action is intense. I look forward to where Ms. Karland will take us next in this new world she is creating.

Marteeka Karland’s Bones MC series is the first MC series I have read/listened to. It certainly has whetted my appetite for more. Cain is the club President, and a bad ass. Angel is a recent college graduate (or will be soon) and needs a job to hold her over. All she can find is a homeschool teacher position for the MC’s three teens. Those kids’ story is heartbreaking, and Angel is very protective of them. She is spunky and willing to fight her own demons to keep those kids safe. Angel was drugged and raped at the hands of another MC, and could rightly avoid all MCs at all cost. (I appreciate that Angel did not fall to pieces over her experience with the other MC. She actually reacted the way women I know have reacted to drugged/rape situations.) Cain falls for Angel, but tries to deny it. Instalove is sweet. In this book your introduced to many characters who further evolve as the series develops. Love Mama and Pops. The narrator is great. I love the voices; she is a joy to listen to.

The club hires a teacher for the kids, Angel Black, they look into her background thoroughly and discover some interaction between her and another club. But they can’t seem to figure out what her role is at first,.. hmmmm.
Then Cain’s got it bad for teacher. He’s looking to claim in the name of Cain. (I had to say that, the voices in my head made me.) This is my favorite part… the claiming. Yum. 10/10 on the claiming.
The big reveal was a little whomp whomp whomp. For a bigger punch some prior scenes with the kids before the big reveal would have added impact.

I really enjoyed this story with Cain and Angel, and the story line just flows and makes you want to keep turning the pages to see what is going to happen next. Angel went out with the wrong man and ended up at his clubhouse, and once she got her senses as to what had happened to her, she escaped and wound up at the Bones Clubhouse, to be a teacher to three children, that she actually thought was being abused, but found out quickly they were there being protected by the club. Cain is the President of Bones MC and wasn't looking for or wanting an old lady, but after saving Angel from another club that was trying to kidnap her, well let's just say his feelings changed. I'm not going to spoil anymore, so grab the book and start reading for yourself as to what happens next. Happy reading.

Marteeka Karland has a winning first book in the Bones MC series. These bad boys may not be squeaky clean but I wouldn't mind having them at my back.
Cain and Angel have set the bar high. The past terror she's running from ripped at my heart. Cain, being the Prez, had me wondering for a bit. He's big, bad, and tough as rawhide but he does have a soft center he shows when the person is deserving. If there's anything not quite positive to say it would be the story ended before I wanted it to. Lol.
I can't wait to see where the Bones will land next.

This is a new to me author and I'm thrilled I found her. This book touches on the things I've come to expect from an MC romance. Cain is a great fast paced, age gap read. When the club hires Angel to tutor the kids she comes with a lot of baggage. It also doesn't help that she has Cain all tied up in knots. Even though this is a quick read there's no shortage of excitement, action, chaos and drama. There were a couple of things I wondered about but it wasn't enough to turn me off of the book. With Cain you're in for one heckuva ride.

Cain is the second book I've listened to in this series. The narrator, again, here, did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life. The book is only 61 pages long, but she read it in a little over 2 hours. Lots of expression and pauses. 5 stars. Well done.
Now, the story is a little shallow and not very believable. It does touch your heartstrings and you want to see Angel and the kids find safety and love. There is violence and triggers. A short entertaining read. 3.5 stars.

Now, the story is a little shallow and not very believable. It does touch your heartstrings and you want to see Angel and the kids find safety and love. There is violence and triggers. A short entertaining read. 3.5 stars.

I listened to Bohannan and Sword long before I heard Cain but I understand why.
Cain was a serious hard ass which makes sense as to why he is the President. He didn't expect to fall for Angel and he fell hard, snd fast with no net. What he didn't expect is the kids she it teaching to have a tie to her past and her past is coming for her. What will Cain do when they come and what will happen to the kids when the tie is revealed.
Gotta listen to find out and trust me you will come out pleasantly happy!!!!!

I loved this book. It is a great start to the Bones MC series. It is a great introduction to some of the members of Bones MC. Angel, on the run from another MC, finds herself being hired to tutor 3 children in the MC. At first she is worried for their safety, but she soon learns she need not have worried. Cain, the president of Bones MC, tries to look at her as just the kids’ teacher. But he soon realizes that she is so much more than that. Then he learns that the other MC thinks she belongs to them. Guess he will have to show them how wrong they are.

The narrator did a very good job portraying the characters as she read the story for all to listen. The story was good too. It has a protective biker that falls hard for a young woman that's introuble with an evil biker club and 3 children that's also being protected. The young woman is protective of the children and finds Cain very attractive and falls in love with him. I enjoyed this audio book.

The whole romance plot that goes from zero to old lady is less than 24 hours long. Cain is supposed to be this macho alpha guy but in real life he would be abusive and manipulative. Angel has absolutely no backbone. She makes no decisions in the present tense of the plot. She's almost no better than a ragdoll and I say almost because she comes in to kick someone while he is being held down.
I don't see how any adult would enjoy this book.

I really liked the plot of the story. The big bad biker swoops in and saves the heroine from her past.
It was short and sweet. I'm not normally a fan of short books or quick to love books but this one just flowed.
The narrator did an excellent job portraying the story. She voiced both male and female voices well.

Just OK
The story line was good but it was way too short for any real build up. I love MC books and have read hundreds usually in KU. Some times I will purchase a book if it sounds good. This one did. But I was very disappointed when I realized I spent 4.00 on a book that was 79 pages. Will not be continuing with this series.

Short. Edgy. Fast. It's this author's first toe-dip into MC waters and it's a great effort. Cain is exactly the type of man you want as an MC President. Angel is just tough enough to be his old lady. Together they make a great couple. I'm gonna try to read these books in order, so it'll be fun to watch this author grow!

This series starter kept me entertained from start to finish thanks to the endearing characters. Ada Sinclair brought this story to life and made it a fun listen.

The story went by quickly jet, I enjoyed it very much; typical biker drama with a twist. The main characters have a strong sense of what is right and wrong and the courage to get it through.
