You think you know what I am? You don’t. After surviving a shocking attack, Shiloh is pulled into a strange new existence under the protection of a band of misfits. With her sister’s life hanging in the balance, Shiloh turns to the only person she knows who can help find her attacker: the tall stranger with eyes as black as midnight. She doesn’t trust him, but she’s falling for him like a river into a waterfall. She only hopes the plummet won’t lead to her death. Devlin knew his fate when he was born. He never wanted to inflict the same sentence on anyone else, let alone the girl who had his heart. But that’s the thing about fate. It doesn’t give you a choice.
Author of smart, sexy characters, J.M. Adele loves to flit between the dark and light sides of romance. Somewhere along the way an almost constant procession of imaginary characters settled into her thoughts and she picked up a pen to share their stories. She lives in Queensland with her three greatest loves, her children. When she’s not writing or being a mum, you might find her hiking up a mountain, singing in the car when nobody is looking, or curled up with a good book.
J.M. Adele dives straight back into the action following on from Ashes and Dust in this 2nd book of the Bloodlust series, and the finale to Shiloh and Devlin's epic love story.
As Shiloh struggles to understand and adjust to her new existence, fight to save her sister's life and come to terms with the lies and betrayal of one lover; she also slowly learns the dark truth behind the mysterious Devlin and that of their sizzling chemistry and magnetic pull.
But will they have time to recognise their burgeoning love or will evil win out and take from them the connection promised them by prophecy and the centuries past?
This conclusion to this first story of the Bloodlust series is another superbly crafted tale from this author. I'm now a converted paranormal fan and so looking forward to firecracker Lanie and super hot vampire Scot Rory's story which is yet to come!
Really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next one. The characters are interesting and well written. Her little sister is a pistol and can't wait to see what happens with her part of the story.
