Wind Shear

Rate this book
The storm spreads, desperation grows and evil seeks that which it may devour. As Joel and Helen struggle to get along - let alone survive - the truth about the storm's origins is slowly peeled back, while Big T and his newfound companion seek to build a new refuge. There are a million ways to die at the end of the world. Continuing to fight is the only answer, in Storm's Fury Book 2.

The skies above America darken as powerful, corrupt forces inadvertently unleash a disaster of biblical proportions.

In a quiet southern town, a lonely soldier lives each day in a bottle, forever regretting sins and losses of the past.

A young girl, caught up in the cares of the world, has her life ripped apart.

As the fury of the storm closes in on the country, two impossibly unlikely companions are forced to work together to survive - or they will surely die.

When the world is ending, some of us will have to go heroic. Not because that's what we would want to do but because that's gonna be the only thing to do.

Here we go, installment 2 (and the shit's just getting off that fan). Fansy storms hitting everywhere. Now it's not just the survivalists that are off the grid. The grid is off the world.

Editing: wrong word usage
- 'Melancholy'.
- I can't begin to tell just how irritating it is that the word 'homeopathic' is used interchangeably with 'herbal'. Some of the herbal remedies can be homeopathic just like some homeopathic ones can be herbal but these are not synonimic.
'Homeopathic' means that smth is really really diluted. Like, you make mint tea. That you take a drop of tea and dilute it in a bucket of water. Than you take a drop out of said bucket and put it into another bucketful of water. You repeat that 10 times and voila! your 'homeopathic remedy' is prepareed. That's what 'homeopathic' tea is.
'Herbal' is you make a herbal mint tea and drink it. Which one do you think is more likely to work?No-brainer, right?

Magnificent second book. The survivors have a lot more to come, but at least they’re together. Couldn’t stop reading.

So far, this has been a pretty good series. There are a lot of characters in different locations, though at least we find out how two of the groups are connected. That helps to reduce some of the confusion. I was a little surprised that when Joel was at a relative's home where it was clear they had not been home since the start and Joel suspecting the extent of the disaster, would have taken the canned food instead of thinking to come back later. In the apocalypse there is no later.

Not as good as others

As always, the book follows different people and how theyadapt to the end of the world. I found this a little difficult to get into,it seemed a little slower than other books by this author. There are more characters to keep track of in this series, and I can't seem to find the purpose of one of the main characters. Unfortunately I found this book a little disjointed.

Definitely worth reading

This series’s is definitely worth reading, this is the second book I have read so far and I can seam to put them down, the first one I read so fast, and I am looking forward to the rest of the them, these are the first books I have read from both authors, but I am looking forward to trying more if this is the kind of stories they write, intriguing characters with multi level stories, that let your imagination flow!

Another “Bell” Ringer!

The story is developing. Not so many new characters to try and follow. It’s fun to get to know more about the characters in the main plot now instead of being introduced to many. The premise of the story is interesting and different than the many post apocalyptic EMP stories. This series draws you in deeper with each page. Well written!

Man!!!!

I would have normally given this book five stars because the storyline is so good, but there were just too many inconsistencies this time. Sitting down on the bed when they were already SITTING on the bed.... stuff like that. Could do with some editing, which is rare for these authors!!! But again, the storyline is good, if not great!!!

Book 2 Wind Ahead continues the series of circumstances of a post apocalyptic

What happened to the world. From Louisiana, Chicago and Seattle and most states inbetween, only a few know what is really happening. The lightening, thunder and torrential rain don't help. And then the dead are piling up as people get desperate. What does one woman have to do with this and why?

Sunlight

Conway plans to kill the Sheriff when he comes into town to eat LUNCH. After killing him he leaves the building. Meanwhile the tavern owner looks out the window when she heard the shots but could barely see Conway fleeing because it was DARK. Another thing, we do not have Hurricanes in Early spring. The Gulf is to cold.

How quickly society snaps!

It doesn't take long for things to go bad. People turn to violence rather quickly when they are threatened or starving. Things you never believed could happen become the norm. How would each of us respond? This is a good look at several different characters and the paths they take. Can't wait to read the next one!

The Future Looks Bleak But Has Promise

The second book in this series is good because it goes into more detail about the characters' lives. There is still action, tension, and heartbreak but there is also hopes for a better future and survival. Looking forward to the continuing series.

Such Depth!

There is real depth and detail in Wind Shear. Also lines within lines of the story. Some things are coming together. Others falling apart, like law and order. The bad guys are eagerly doing their nastiest. And the good guys are being forced to defend. Lots of violence all through and the hint of more to come. Perfect!!

great read

Story line is intriguing and keeps me interested. spoiler alert....
should not have killed off the young lady! Would have been nice to have that relationship blossom, (it is the romantic in me.) but understand why you did this move to move them out!

I love PA science fiction.

Intriguing characters, complex plot lines, swift action and satisfying conclusions are all good reasons to read WIND SHEAR. So far this series is the best I've read in kindle unlimited.

Unnecessarily Wordy

This is a book that does not require the reader to actually read the book. I was able to skip whole sections without losing any character or plot development. As the second of the series, this book is worse than the first.

Storms Fury

Joel and Helen head for out but not because they want too. This could so happen in this chaos! It kept my attention through the whole book. Can hardly wait to read the next book

Heading for Safety

This is a jammed pack book of characters. Each one is very distinct, some good and some bad. When the storms fury is all said and done. Who will be standing.

The downed planes and the afermath of a hurricane form must of the strings or these characters. Good development and some good cliffhangers leading to book three
