Another knock out of the park for Hope Ford's Alpha Hero series. We first meet Zach and Anna very briefly in the 2nd installment of the series. It's very briefly so you aren't missing much if you start here.
Zach is the player firefighter that "doesn't do relationships" and hops from bed to bed do to abandonment issues in his early life.
Anna is a paramedic that is in the very least attracted to Zach but is probably falling for him when she tells him she's down for his one night rule. Zach is rather surprised she wants to go through with this, he knows there is something special about her. When the two get together the sparks fly.
What I really appreciated about this book is that Anna wasn't clingy at all, she knew it was one night and she just continued on with her life. It was Zach that realized that he needed more from her.
"I thought I could go with your notion of getting you out of my system, but it didn’t work. All it did was make me fall even more in love with you.”

Commentary: Oh, that old story! Reformed bad boy. Short sweet read. Not a whole more (too short like a lot of her early books). But enough for a half-hour's entertainment, and I do like the series and its interconnectedness.

Zach and Shannon’s romance. Zach obviously works with Terry from previous book at firehouse and Shannon is the paramedic who helps April, the heroine from previous book when she goes into labor. I think this may be my favorite of the series so far. Though the shortest of the books so far, there was something about this story that sucked me in a bit more. These two agree to one night and that’s it due to the hero being insistent that he doesn’t do relationships. We know the heroine would gladly agree to more but really it’s her who sticks to her guns in this one while the hero finds himself going crazy and feeling things he didn’t think possible. What I really liked was that the author uses the whole ‘let’s keep this between us’ against the two. No one else knows what’s going on so sure other characters who love Shannon and want to see her happy, are trying to hook her up with people. Zach hates this and really has to confront his own insecurities about relationships. You can’t tell the girl you don’t do relationships but then cockblock everyone else!

3 Stars because I really enjoy HF‘s work, her books are a lovely way to spend an hour or two, and I love getting lost in her worlds. But this one didn’t work for me purely because I hate the „I’m going to be an ass because I’ve been hurt and I’m entitled to be a prick to punish women“ story line. I just wish Shannon had made him work just a little harder for her heart. He really didn’t deserve it.

Oh my goodness Zach and Shannon are beyond adorable!! Zach, mister I don't do relationships one night stand, is a firefighter that has been hurt in the past. Shannon is a very innocent paramedic that wants to have a night with the sexy firefighter. They get their night and it's out of this world. Shannon tries her best to keep her word and not let things get weird between them. Zach has a hard time with the things that he is feeling for Shannon. The journey to their Happily Ever After is complicated one.
As always with Hope Ford this story is completely safe and has no abuse of any kind, no cheating, heroine is a virgin, Hero is a one night wonder in the past but there are no specific details or mention of previous partners.

I would have liked it better if he wasn’t a man-whore. When they introduced him in the last book he seemed young and sweet, then he said that he doesn’t take women out he takes them home and it’s one night only. And he says this to a woman that he likes and is friends with. He can’t even take her to dinner before he fucks her. If you only have sex with a woman once, I can’t even imagine the number of sexual partners he’s had. Yet she takes this deal and has sex without a condom. And the turn around from when he says I wish I was different but I can’t be in a relationship and when he decides he’s all in is just too quick with no plausible reason for his change of heart. A friend tells him to get over his trauma and he just changes his whole life and personality? Nope. Not a fan.

Truthfully I read this because I was looking for a short romance read, that was on Kindle Unlimited - and from that perspective Sweet On You absolutely delivered. I haven’t actually read the first 2 books in the Alpha Hero series, and while this still works as a standalone, I think I would have enjoyed it more had I had a bit of the back story. Sweet On You starts with the intimacy first, and then gets into the ‘will they or won’t they’ in terms of whether they will admit their feelings to one another. I really loved how Shannon played things post sex, it was brilliantly funny and proud, and I can see how it drove Zach absolutely wild. There were some parts of the novel that made me a little uncomfortable (for instance Zach’s possessiveness is framed as ‘hot’, and some of the dialogue between Zach & Terry around who Shannon can and can’t date made me want to scream “it is not up to you!”) but for a quick, hot romance, Sweet On You delivers.

Sweet on you is book three in the Alpha hero series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. We met the characters in this book in the previous stories. Shannon is the paramedic that helped April and Zach is a fire fighter and friends with Terry. Zach is attracted to Shannon and wants her but he doesn’t do relationships.
The chemistry between Zach and Shannon is clear to see and I loved them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

Another great read Zach a fireman doesn’t do relationships one night stands no emotions attached to it but when Shannon asks him for a date he tells her doesn’t do that but she agrees to a one night stand. Shannon thinks having one night with Zach would get him out of her system but it didn’t work and Zach starts getting possessive even though he agreed one night only. Zach doesn’t like the idea of Shannon going out with anybody he talks to Shannon what happened when he was five with his mum but now with Shannon he realises not everything turns out like that and he loves Shannon more than anything and can’t see a future without her in it. Shannon listens to Zach and ends up moving in with him still being possessive but she doesn’t mind.

I LOVED this book and it's all really thanks to the h, Shannon. I love when a leading lady has a backbone, a bit of sass and spunk to her and that was Shannon. She had a quick wit and a sharp tongue and was a character I could relate to and enjoy.
Sure it was sweet watching Zach deal with Shannon giving him the same rules he throws out...one night and done....except he just can't seem to get his head and heart on board. Watching the mighty fall is always fun to read!
I'm super excited for the next book in the series...I'm sensing some older man/younger woman romance coming our way!

Zach is a sexy fireman that is well-liked by his family and fellow firefighters but he doesn’t do love thanks to his mom walking out on him and his father when he was five years old. Zach’s been intrigued by Shannon (a paramedic) since she delivered a friend’s baby, and Shannon is attracted to Zach as well but has been warned that he doesn’t date. Agreeing to spend a night together doesn’t go as planned though, especially for Zach, who starts to realize that maybe he was selling himself short with his playboy ways.

I love this short instalove stories by this author, she does so much within them and connects them for more enjoyment.

I loved Zach and Shannon. They are a perfect cute couple. The start to their story was iffy, but the ending is beautiful. Their love for each other bloomed into a perfect happy ever after ending.
