The man I fell in love with was so handsome and charming. Every time I saw him I felt like a teenage girl again, with the cliche butterflies flapping wildly in my stomach. Each kiss made me weak in the knees. He made me feel loved. Beautiful. Content. He made me see a man that he could never be. Because he became lost inside his madness and swallowed by the voices in his head that told him it was okay to dominate—to claim ownership.
I was strong enough to walk away. To hide. But then he’d find me.
He’d always find me.
It became a game of hide-and-seek. Every time I’d find a different place, but I could never stay hidden. Walls were too transparent. People were too transparent.
I cut my hair. I dyed it. I changed my name. I tried to become invisible to everyone around me. But I knew he would come for me again, just like every other time.
The last time he attacked me, I’d finally had enough. I refused to let him rule me anymore. I finally stood up to him. I showed him I wasn’t the coward he married.
That was the night when my life changed.
That was the night when everything went dark.

Wow!!! This was a super read! As a woman, it lets you know what to watch out for when you're looking for Mr. Right. Very good read♥️
