Last month I saw some beautiful embroidery works on Etsy and thought: I want to be able to make them myself. I tried a cross-stitch kit and I found it the most relaxing and satisfying craft I ever tried. Immediately I wanted to learn more stitches. After some research I saw this book being released at the 5th of March. Perfect timing! I ordered it and couldn't wait for it to arrive. This book is perfect for beginners as it describes all the stitches clearly. It also tells you everything you need for embroidery. It contains 15 beautiful patterns and they come with a short equipment list. Once I received the book I ordered all the DMC thread I needed, some hoops and beautiful Japanese needles. I couldn't wait to get started. Everything arrived last week and I've already finished the first two patterns! The description is clear which makes it easy to understand what you are supposed to do. I can honestly say that I am hooked! Embroidery gives me so much satisfaction and makes me clear my head. And this book helps me to learn this joyful craft. Thanks Libby Moore for composing this book!

This book is an essential for anybody interested in Embroidery! Great for beginners, there are excellent explanations on how to go about different stitches as well as easy to follow step by step instructions for each of the patterns. The different patterns at the rear of the book are perforated to make them easy to trace & there is an envelope built into the back of the book so you don’t lose them!
Can’t wait to get stuck into these designs :)

This book is a beautiful read! Libby has done a wonderful job at guiding stitchers from the beginning with tools needed, tips and how to stitch. Each of the projects are detailed and well laid out step by step. I can’t wait to get started! There are so many projects in this little book and I love that it includes stitching on clothing, bags and other ‘out of the box’ ideas. It’s also a beautiful book for the coffee table and some inspiration. Just lovely!!

Love it. All new patterns to stitch up with fantastic detailed instructions which I found perfect being a beginner with embroidery. The size of the book is also great when having it nearby whilst stitching. Also love the hoop less creation section. Would recommend this book for any embroidery enthusiast.

The patterns are beautiful, the layout is stunning. Every page leaves you giddy with excitement to create it. Every design is new and exclusive to the book which I didn’t realise before purchasing- so much value in buying the book. The artists featured make it extra special at the same time as getting the same inspiration as always from Libby Moore

I had no idea there were so many different stitches in the world! Granted, I haven't done embroidery since I was ten. 😂 Beautiful project ideas and stitch demos.

Gorgeous Stitching Book

There are not many ( read hardly ANY) stitchery books out there with an edge. This,I hope, is one of many to come. I do not like cross stitch. There. I said it. Out loud. For ALL to hear. Loathe it. Boring and makes me cross eyed. I adore stitchery and tapestry. I do lots of my own. This book resonates with me as you can adapt the patterns, change the colours, make them your own. I’ve started one within hours of buying the book. With a few changes... I do hope there are more like this to come. Thank you Sarah xx

This book is absolutely beautiful!
Not only the patterns are GORGEOUS and well explained but the design and quality of the book are incredible as well. You can really appreciate how much love and work were put into it.
The stitch guide is very clear and it includes several different stitches.
It also includes many small hoop-less patterns that look fun and beautiful to create.
I can not wait to start stitching these patterns and decorate my walls with them!

Libby has provided a modern approach to embroidery. Being new to this craft, the step by step instructions are simple to understand. The patterns instructions are carefully explained with the added feature of being able to easily pull them out of the book to transfer. I am very excited to hang the finished artwork in my home!

I can’t recommend Thread Folk highly enough! The actual book itself is beautiful - a great size, hardback and the photography is bright and fresh. It is especially beginner friendly for someone wanting to start with modern embroidery, filled with easy to understand instructions teamed with detailed diagrams of stitches, not to mention the variety of projects. Libby has shared the thread colours and needle sizes to use making it easy to get started. The patterns are perforated and there is a pocket to keep them in! Easy.
It was hard to choose which project to make first, so I’ve brought all the threads to start two.
