Oliver and Mitch are ready to have it all, but to start a family they need an alpha at their sides and when they meet Marcos Acosta, they know he’s the man for them. He’s a brooding protector who needs someone to look out for his heart, a heart that just might be big enough to love two omegas and the bundle of joy they want to create.
The omegas are his haven…
Marcos has spent three years in purgatory at his brother’s bedside. He can’t move on when Pedro is in a coma. But Mitch’s wicked sense of humor and Oliver’s easy affection make him feel like a different man. They’re bringing him back to life, little by little, and with two omegas he might be ready to step out of the hospital and into a life he never dreamed of.
Then a blast from the past threatens to ruin everything: Oliver’s career, Marcos’ brother, and Mitch’s chance at a happy ending. The three men will need to trust in each other and their bond if they are going to see their way through to their future together.
***** A marvelous addition to a terrific Mpreg series. Wounded warriors, their friends and families dealing with the different aftermaths of war. We are shown * Alpha Marcos and his devotion to his brother, Pedro, who is in a coma from the IED blast three years ago that scarred one team member, took one's life, and more... We also have extended group men, Oliver and Mitch, navigating their world, too. * Oliver is an Omega who works 80 hr. weeks in Accounting for big corporations, and has his own sadness from losing his brother to cancer. * Ginger Omega Mitch, 26, has worked as an escort long enough, plus he's found Oliver, who loves him and wants to make a life for them together.
Our three men don't know it yet, but the three are going to meet and fate will take over.
* Marcos needs a way to keep his folks from turning off the machines keeping Pedro alive. Mitch and Oliver are newly engaged, bought a house, and beginning their full relationship, finally. Mitch has a plan to solve Marcos' problem, which is to give his Mom a reason to postpone the fate of Pedro. You will see the planning, the concerns, and the conversations. Marcos, Mitch and Oliver all need to be on board, because they will be forming a huge bond, creating a baby, and a marriage, to save Pedro.
* It may seem complicated, but it happens easier than they could have imagined. Deep passion and emotion are involved, and we get to see them all handling daily living, too. The sexy times and menage are completely hot and wild, powerful and demanding. In the midst of the new arrangement, the slimy ex-boss for the escort service, tries to create big problems, but Marcos helps Oliver handle it.
I like the thought-filled characters, the compassion, heartfelt feelings, and fascinating scenarios. I've been a fan of Aiden Bates and his sexy, heartwarming Mpreg tales for quite awhile. ENJOY !
I actually really enjoyed this story a lot! So much about Marcos and his guilt towards his brother was explained in such a way that it was heartbreaking for him to try to choose his path, but I loved how Mitch and Oliver gave him the space he needed to figure it out on his own.
Oregon author Aiden Bates began his writing career in journalism (his degree is in both journalism and creative writing) but his fascination/passion for writing romance erotica won him over and we are the grateful recipients of that decision. ‘ With a fun and playful outlook in his writing, he's committed to bring back quality works with a twist only he can bring to the table. In his free time he enjoys reading smut, going to Bartini and writing in the third person.’
This is Book 3 in his Omega’s Under Siege series, and for those for whom this is the first visit, Aiden capitalizes on the theme of Alpha men and Omega men – alphas being the assertive partner and omega the submissive – and joins that with the military dynamic. The story is complex, in a good way, but Aiden manages to outline it as follows: ‘Two omegas looking for their alpha…Oliver and Mitch are ready to have it all, but to start a family they need an alpha at their sides and when they meet Marcos Acosta, they know he’s the man for them. He’s a brooding protector who needs someone to look out for his heart, a heart that just might be big enough to love two omegas and the bundle of joy they want to create. The omegas are his haven…Marcos has spent three years in purgatory at his brother’s bedside. The three men will need to trust in each other and their bond if they are going to see their way through to their future together.’
A bit of the book’s opening makes a fine overture, introducing Marcos, sitting with his comatosed brother Pedro – ‘The rest of the world had moved on after the explosion…. But not Pedro...Pre-IED, I’d had one blood brother and several brothers-in-arms, all with big dreams about the kinds of heroic things we would do overseas and the kinds of things we were going to do when we get home. We were going to serve, fight bad guys, and get promoted. Then? We were going to go home, buy our mamas houses, marry the omegas we’d left behind, and have babies. We were going to have the lives some of us had never had in the first place but all of us had always dreamed of….’
Aiden continues to create unique books that take a twist on what appears to be a familiar setting and theme and in doing so he keeps his talent polished to a fare-thee-well. Very strong book to continue a new series!
Okay, so I'll admit I enjoyed reading this. Mitch was much cuter than he came across as a side character in the previous book. And the first chapter had me all choked up about Marcos and Pedro. So the writing, the characters, the atmosphere, that was all good.
But seriously, the plot has so many issues I don't even know where to start. - The whole plot idea of convincing Mami Acosta to not shut down the machines keeping Pedro alive after three years of being in a coma by faking a relationship with a friendly omega and impregnate him to sell that as a sign of life from God ... it doesn't get more harebrained than that - Also I'm pretty sure that Marcos talked to Bennet about the machines being unplugged soon in the previous book and that was a whole year before this story. Yet it is presented as a new development at the beginning of this book - The medical information surrounding Pedro are generously invented ignoring reality anyway - What the f*ck is up with Oliver's job? It was so hard to get there, and as an omega to boot, and he went to Harvard, and now he is...an accountant??? And then his job is threatened by the scandal of marrying a former escort? What kind of business is he working for that anyone would care about the former job of an accountant's husband? And because he's pissed about being treated like that he changes jobs off page along the way somewhere. I thought it was so hard to get there? There is no rhyme or reason to this... - The only time they ever talked about the baby's name they asked Mami Acosta for permission to name him Pedro. So why is he called Juan after he's born? - That 'situation' between Pedro and Charlie to hint at them being the next couple to get their story was wrangled with a bulldozer by the outside perspective of other characters where there was no chemistry between the pages that I could spot
I probably forgot something, but I'm gonna stop here. You get the idea. Still, as I said - it was an okay read overall anyway.
So, I really didn't enjoy that one - and not because of the menage (which wasn't convincing either). The previous two weren't too bad, nothing spectacular but quite cute. This one though? Let me quote a side-character: " It's frankly so much bullshit." Sadly, this applies to the whole story, which is outlandish and not logical, even in its own universe, which is already questionable. spoiler: So alas, I will never know how Charlie will win Pedro, who, surprise, surprise, came back out of a three-year-long coma nearly unscathed.
Sorry, this rating says nothing about the writing or the storyline, I just wasn't aware this was a menage when I get it, and I don't connect with this kind of stories :/
there wasn't much of an introduction to the two omegas and how they became a couple was touched upon almost as a passer by, much like most of the story. overall wasn't that great.
Not my vibe. I liked all the characters with Oliver being my favorite. But this just wasn't for me. I like polyamorous couples. I just didn't like this one all that much.
Probably pretty good didn’t realise it was a avtual pregnancy book so I stopped reading them but it was good up to that point and probably will continue to be ?!
Very good read. Not all readers will agree as we are all different. One of those series for me that kept me reading. Once again I will not be doing any spoilers. But suggest you to read the series
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed Mitch, Oliver and Marcos' story. With crisis at the forefront, the trio take on an out-of-the-ordinary relationship situation and try to make it work. There's lots of heavy emotion going on in this book.
Amazing characters and a dramatic storyline will keep you reading until the HEA. You will find desperation, twists, a lot of heartfelt moments, passion, hope, and love. This is so wonderfully written it makes it easy to set how supportive, beautiful, and loving a committed triad can be. Mitch, Oliver, and Marcos earn their triad family through perseverance, dedication, understanding, honesty, trust, a solid connection, and a heart fulfilling love. I would definitely recommend this book as well as the others in this series.
Well Aiden Bates just keeps getting better. With this next Under Siege novel he has pushed the story of these friends and lovers even farther. A triad what next ?
5 stars to Aiden for this book. Mitch and Oliver were hot together but throw Marcos into the mix and they were scorching hot 🔥. There's drama but they each learn how to deal with it. So much between these pages but hurry and one click you don't want to miss this one.
I meant to leave feedback yesterday but this book was brilliant. I loved how they all thought to be together and get their happy endding they each deserved.
