Jen is afraid of a lot of things: spiders, porcelain dolls, brussel sprouts. However, nothing could prepare Jen for the fear that grips her when her child, Remi, is taken. She doesn't know who they are or why they took him, but her hope is starting to fade. Until she follows her brother into the forest and discovers the truth behind her son's kidnapping, and then fear takes on a whole new and otherworldly meaning. Will they reach her son in time? And how much will they have to sacrifice to bring him home safely?
Jennifer Bernhardt is a high school English teacher, a voracious reader, and an avid writer. Her debut novel, Sisters by Blood, has recently been published on the Amazon Kindle Store.
Jen has been writing and telling stories since she was five and could get her grandmother to type them up on her old desktop computer (you know, the kind with the green screen and white writing?).
She enjoys all genres (or formats) of books, but her favorites are historical and paranormal romance, fantasy, and graphic novels. Currently her favorite authors are Gena Showalter, Diana Gabaldon, and Johanna Lindsay (as you can see, all romance genre writers). She is also absolutely loving the Scythe series by Neal Shusterman.
