Meet Felix Freeman, London’s finest Wizard P.I. Apart from the other one.
Turns out the everyday world is full of strange and magical things and London is full to the brim. The city infested with vampires, werewolves and dark wizards…
The odds could now not be higher…
The mission was clear:
Find the last two Rings of Power. Stay alive. Maybe life had other plans for this wizard?
In his way was a wizards worst nightmare… a very dangerous Faerie. They might sound small and cuddly… they’re anything but.
Oh, and it’s teamed up with Felix’s nemesis to take over London.
Not only must he find the rings of power. Impossible.
He must also defeat his nemesis. Next to impossible.
And a Faerie. Definitely impossible.
Imagine Harry Potter all grown up with an attitude problem, you've just met Felix Freeman. If you love foul-mouthed heroes, faeries determined to steal your soul, and exploring the darker side of magic, this is the book for you.
I just devoured this story. The third in the story of Felix, a wound up, kind of guy who continues his march into dangerous and deadly trouble. He drags his best friend, despite him, right along with him. Now both are pursued by the police, wizard council and two deadly wizards that leave little hope for them to survive. Trying to get the three rings, save a lot of souls that were cursed and save themselves, these men jump into battle with magic slinging. Norton tries his best to be helpful and discovers he likes a little excitement in his life. The ending is an HFN as we are waiting to see what Jack Found, the half fae will do next time to these men who follow a path of saving others. An excellent story and series that you really don't want to miss.
There is something about this writting that just pulls you into the story. All Jack's books have that "certain something" that keeps you entertained and coming back for more. I definately think you should read in series order to full enjoy those wacky characters.
I hope this isn't the last book in the series. I have enjoyed all the books in this series. If you like wizards, the fae, and other supernatural persons, you will enjoy this book.
OMG, the errors! Grammar, spelling, you name it - it's there. Parts of it seem familiar from other books. And yet I couldn't easily stop reading. The narrator starts to grow some balls in this final installment.
It would be a more enjoyable series if the editing was better. So many spelling errors, character names changing due to poor spelling, quotation marks, commas, etc in weird spots.
