"Emotionally, sexually, physically connecting to another person, these are the three basic needs a person with a beating heart seeks every day. You can't have one and not the other."
It has taken years for James and Aubrey to achieve the happiness they have from a very rocky beginning. In ‘Say Yes’ we get to revisit my all-time favourite couple, but there is trouble in paradise. They overcame many obstacles to be together (you must read Hush Hush) to understand the sacrifices that got them here. Their passion has not waned, and their love has continued to grow.
"He makes the floozy in me flare to life and want to pounce.
Like right now. Just at first glance he made my heart drop and my pussy wet for him.
I swear, the older he gets, the hotter he gets."
Most imagine that love and marriage go hand in hand. Yet many are content and satisfied without a piece a paper that defines their relationship. This is all good if both partners agree. But what happens when they don’t, and they find themselves an impasse?
This book was amazing, and I am thrilled that Lucia Franco managed to maintain the standard that Hush Hush achieved. I loved the level of rawness and honesty this book displayed. It allowed us to peak into the lives of James and Aubrey, and to experience the love and insecurities when two people want different things. It required empathy, understanding and faith to face their issues and to remain true to the people they held dear. As expected, the love scenes were to die for and Say Yes was the perfect conclusion to their love story.
"We're an unlikely pair with him being thirty-plus years older than me, yet we couldn't seem more perfect for each other."
