Her works include the series Postcards from Paris, The Surrogate, The Curse of Lanval series, several stand alone novels, and her upcoming YA novel, Clock City. She has been writing her whole life, with her first published work of historical fiction with 4H Clubs of America at the age of 12, and poetry at the age of 16 with the National Poetry Society. With an extensive academic background including education, history, psychology and English, she currently works as a college professor by day and a writer by night.

This is book 3 in the 'Life after Us' series' set far into a future where people rely on technology for all their wants and needs in the form of Alex, a whole new vision of a personal assistant.

An attempt has been made to take control of America. Vicki and Ambrose are caught up in the initial bombing at the airport. Ambrose was arriving for work and Vicki was seeing her fiancé, Will, off as he goes to work abroad. Initially it looks as though Will is killed in the mayhem but the reality is much, much worse.

As Ambrose and Vicki struggle to survive they are separated and the pregnant Vicki is captured by Will who has evolved into an evil man focussed on taking control of America. She pleads with Ambrose to save her and that is where we pick up the story with Daisy Song.

It is an intriguing journey as we follow 2 people determined to be together as they fight the many obstacles put in their way. There are several unlikely relationships that bring different dimensions to the story and make for gripping reading.

Although this is not a genre I usually read I absolutely love this series. I have devoured each book like a starving woman and I really hope there will be more.

The finale of this series and my favourite book yet in this trio. There are plan crashes, run ins with the "new leaders", death, destruction, and a love like no other.

Vicki is ready to give up on Ambrose ever finding her, and decides to accept her fate of being trapped by Will Her ex-fiance who is forcing her into a marriage she no longer wants for the safety of her baby.

Then one late night phone call on a satellite phone leads her to believe that Ambrose is coming to save her. She has some hope left. It's been seven months since the world forever changed, and all she wants is to live happily ever after in this new world with AMbrose and her baby.

Ambrose and a band of what I can only describe as misfit heros arrive to save Vicki and take out the new leaders, especially Will. An ultimate battle between the hero and villain, and maybe just maybe a happily ever after for these amazing characters.

This is the third book in the Life After Us series. I have read the previous two and was waiting with bated breath for this conclusion. It certainly doesn't disappoint! Vicki, heavily pregnant with her ex-fiance's child, is now incarcerated in Will's mansion, waiting for the birth. Will (the new Leader since the revolution) is by turns kind and then bullying with Vicki and doesn't seem to care how much he hurts her, physically and emotionally. When Vicki is at her wit's end, she hears that Ambrose is on his way to save her and he arrives with an army of people who have escaped from the Leader's forces. The showdown is breath-taking and I finished the book with a great sigh because I was sad that I had come to the end of the story.
I find the background of the story very depressing (with the end of world order and the rise of a dictator) but the travails that Vicki and Ambrose go through and the people they meet lifted me out of that depression and gave me hope that genuinely good people will always win through. A beautifully written story and one I would recommend to all.

Rebekah Dodson has saved the best for last with Daisy Dreams the third installment of her life before us series. As Vickie and Ambrose try to find their way back to each other they do everything they can to over come every obstacle thrown at them and make decisions that will ensure their survival. Meanwhile The Supreme Leader is hell bent on ensuring that Vickie bows to his will and uses every means possible to see that she does. What he doesn’t count on is that the love in her heart will help her unleash a hidden strength that surprises even herself. I loved to see the evolution of the characters from the first book to this final installment. They had so much growth and human reactions that it was impossible not to feel their love, devastation, and inner strength to do what needed to be done to not only ensure their survival but the survival of those around them. Rebekah has shown that staying true to your morals can lead to great things even when the world seems to be at its darkest.

Short Summary of the book:
In the last book, Ambrose tried to free the woman he loved. Instead, she returned to Will and he felt like his heart was ripped out. However, are things as they seem? Vicki had hoped to find her fiancé safe to find he was the leader of the terrorists. Did she sacrifice her own happiness to save the man she loved?
What I liked about the book:
Nothing is as it appears and we find out the perseverance love can bring.
What I didn’t like about the book:
I enjoyed the entire book.
My favourite bits in the book:
How Ambrose continues to fight for the woman he loves.
My least favourite bits in the book:
I enjoyed the book in its entirety.

This is the third and last book in the series. After reading the first two, I couldn’t stop myself from getting the last one too.

This series is not like any others I’ve read. It shows us not to judge people at first appearance and also the strength of love.

IMO, the sign of a good book or a series of books is when the end comes and one hates to see it end. And so it was last night when I reached the end of Life After Us.
Not only this book but all three of these books had it all: Love, hate, fear, hope, and every emotion in-between. All along I kept hoping that Vicki and Ambrose would prevail. Please let this end well, but how could it? I could see no way out. The Supreme Leader (the hate part of the book) after all had an army on his side. Just when I was thinking all would be well, something else terrible would happen. My hopes and dreams with Vicki and Ambrose's hopes and dreams kept getting killed. Would love conquer all? So many deaths! Please, please don't let it be Vicki or Ambrose. And what of the baby?

I wanted to share my excitement about the third story in the "Life After Us" series. If you've been following this series, you absolutely shouldn't miss this engrossing installment. The narrative continues to follow Vicki and Ambrose, who now find themselves separated and facing immense challenges. Will, who has turned to the dark side, has kidnapped Vicki, prompting Ambrose and his new group of survivors to embark on a determined mission to rescue her. This story was incredibly compelling; it kept me turning pages and on the edge of my seat, constantly eager to discover what would happen next. I highly recommend it. Life After Us - Book 3

Daisy Song is the third and final book in the Life After Us series. The story of Vicki Morel and Ambrose Palamo continues and we will get the climax and conclusion to this apocalyptic world romance. Vicki was kidnapped by the terrorist organization that took over and is now ruling the USA. It is revealed that Will, the fiance which she was not sure if he was alive or not, is behind the destruction and chaos. She is pregnant and separated from Ambrose, who she realizes she really does love and wants to be with. Ambrose is determined to find and rescue Vicki, even as the new world seems to conspire against him ever finding her.

Daisy Song is the third and final book in the Life After Us series and the thrilling conclusion to Ambrose and Vicki's fight for survival and one another. Plenty of action, a little mystery to solve, and love in this conclusion to the story. As both Ambrose and Vicki fight for one another and survival in the apocalyptic world, there are twists, turns, and betrayals. Will love find a way? Fantastic conclusion to the series.

Daisy Song is book three in the Life After Us series and this installment takes us deeper into their journey. We get answers to so many questions from the first two books and learn how strong bonds can be between people. Love the characters and the way the author made them come alive with her writing making this a captivating series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

A mesmerizing tale that took me by surprise. I wasn't prepared for this journey that the author created in this book. This third book ends the series in a spectacular way. The cast of characters has provided drama and suspense. All the loose ends are tied up neatly. A well written series that will make you think.

Third and final book in the Life After Us series! Once again, really enjoyed this one. A great finish to the series! There was once point I got a bit confused but I think it was tiredness, read back all clear 😂

The SciFi aspect of this really tickled the right bit of my brain, I grew up in a Star Trek house and named after a character from it 😂🤦‍♀️

The conclusion for Vicki, Ambrose and Will. Let's just say people get what they deserve.... and you really do never know who is gonna get taken out in the process.

The twists, the plans going wrong then sudden following for saving Vicki... such a page turner! Do I think this is a peace of literary perfection.... no. But its a bloody good read!

With the way the world is at the moment, this book did feel a little close to the bone 😂 🙈 but more in the terms of there is panic prepare folk about (Like Bill from TLOU) and there is people who unfortunately think skin colour is a superior aspect.... which is rank. But I think this book does highlight these issues well
