Let Your Fears Make You Fierce: How to Turn Common Obstacles into Seeds for Growth

Rate this book
An inspiring, practical guide to release the fears that are holding you back and achieve your ideal life.

Everyone experiences fear in life--fear of failure, fear of ridicule, fear of the unknown. These fears hold us back from living our truth and achieving our full potential. They prevent us from growing and moving forward after a minor setback or major disappointment. But if we can transform those fears, anything is possible. We can connect with our authentic self, listen to our soul's desires, and start living our dreams.

In this book, celebrity holistic health coach and yoga instructor Koya Webb shares the ways she has lived in fear and the tools she's used to get herself to a more confident and fierce place, moving through life in alignment with everything she believes in. Koya's own personal story of triumph over a career-halting injury, depression, self-sabotage, and other limiting beliefs will inspire readers to meet their challenges head on, and transform their greatest fears and obstacles into positive energy that can launch them forward.

If you are tired of feeling overwhelmed, unappreciated, and burned out, this is the book for you. Using breathing techniques, yoga, meditation, journaling, mantras, prayer, and more, Koya shows how you can shift from fear-based living to fierce living!

No matter who you are, or where you are at, or what you have been through, these are universal tools that help every human being get un-stuck and be able to live the most fulfilling life possible!

“Think outside of the box and outside of your comfort zone. Let your mind and your creativity run free. That’s where you’ll find a dream that is truly in alignment with your soul....Don’t let your happiness and sense of self-worth depend on other people‘s approval and validation.”

LET YOUR FEARS MAKE YOU FIERCE is jam packed with positivity as Webb shares the lifestyle system that helped her regain her fierceness and zen mojo after multiple sexual assaults, personal betrayals, and health issues. The book is divided into two sections: What are You Scared of, which identifies fears and provides tools to help overcome them (subsections: the path of fear; from pain to power; you’re not a victim, you’re a creator; you are enough; you’re too blessed to be stressed) and Live Your Truth to help the reader reconnect with her heart and soul (subsections: knowledge is power; your mind is a muscle; visualize your new reality; there is freedom in discipline; you are unstoppable). She includes a “you are fierce” checklist and a seven day plant-based meal plan as appendices. Each chapter contains an affirmation, a yoga pose, a meditation, and activities, such as quizzes.

Webb equates fierceness with love and positivity. Fear is associated with negativity and being stick. She covers self-care, forgiveness, gratitude, getting unstuck from self-doubt, chakra balancing, the law of attraction, morning pages, music for motivation, vision boards, visualization, goals, non-attachment, the pomodoro method for productivity, setting boundaries, and healthy eating.

I really enjoyed Webb’s message and her method of including yoga poses, meditations, and plethora of tools. Her sharing her personal sorrows and triumphs add an extra layer of heart. I haven’t done yoga for a few years, but Webb’s passion for the practice has convinced me to give it another go.

I liked it a lot but i think that for the average person, giving up all animal products plus mayonnaise, ketchup and caffeine, is gonna be just a little bit challenging, plus twice daily meditations, stretching and affirmations.

There is a lot of useful information in this book. I feel I am more fearless now. I listened to this. I think it would have been better to read it. The author keeps referring to downloadable PDFs. These were not made available with my purchase though audible
