After Jackson loses all he has in a house fire, his estranged father insists he come back home and stay while he gets things in order. Not that it even feels like "home" to Jackson, since he can probably count on one hand the number of times he's set foot in the place.

Once Jackson arrives, however, Veronica is horrified to find herself devastatingly attracted to his drop-dead gorgeous looks. And she's even more horrified to find out later that the guy she'd set up a date with was his best friend Trevor! Jackson is clearly jealous as hell. But what none of them, including Jackson, can figure out, is who that jealousy is over.
When tragedy strikes and brings all three of them together, they know there's no turning back. They have to take care of each other, in every single way possible, without letting the world know about their forbidden, unconventional relationship.
Will all the secrets and jealousy tear them apart?
Or will they embrace each other to find happiness despite their fears?
Just Between Us is a bisexual menage romance with high heat MM and MFM scenes. (Swords do cross in this one!) It has no cliffhangers and no cheating, but it does have lots of steam and a happily ever after for everyone involved.

This was book 7 in the
" Just Us "
series. Jackson's life has been turned upside down his house caught on fire and burned to the ground he lost everything. When he calls his estranged father he convinces him to come home. Veronica is his step sister although they are not blood related her mother is married to his father while at the airport she meets a hot sexy guy and gets a date turns out the guy she makes a date with is Trevor Jackson's best friend. Jackson can't believe it the guy he shared a kiss with is dating Veronica who is grown into a hot sexy woman. Trevor is confused he wants Jackson and Veronica. When her mother is killed Veronica gets drunk and calls Jackson to come and pick her up he takes her to Trevor's house and they get hot and heavy. This was a good read. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Could be better
I liked the shot story overall. But I have some issues regarding some of the writing. Does the author read through the finished work or not? Because throughout the pages there are some words missing or written wrong, and in some moments the characters are in two different places at the same time. Like in the scene where the trio goes to Jacksons room. Seems like they're on the bed and the sofa at the same time, doesn't make sense to me. It's annoying.

Meh. Not very good. It started off okay but really fell off the rails after her mom died. I honestly don't understand why the author did that? That's a pretty heavy thing to happen in such a short erotica story. I think keeping the story more simple and less serious would've been better.
But the first threesome they have felt really rushed and unrealistic. Everything just happened without any build up at all and everyone just went along with it. It seemed weird. And Trevor's reactions to his feelings to Jackson were all over the place and felt confusing (and kind of annoying) to me.
Then there's the "mourning" that Veronica and her stepdad Keith go through after her mom's death. Which is virtually non-existent. This whole death of a parent (on page) trope was really too heavy to fit into 70 pages.
Overall it wasn't very good. Probably one of my least favorites in this series so far. Extra half a star for the beginning, which started out promising only to fizzle out later.

Pursuing their loves
Veronica, Jackson and Trevor three people who feel for each other. Jackson has been in love with his best friend Trevor for years and they shared a kiss one drunken night but then Trevor just ignored it. Veronica's mother is married to Jackson's father so they are step siblings though not related. Trevor is dating Veronica whom Jackson is attracted to as well. Each of these three people are unsure what is happening but when Veronica's mother dies in an accident things escalate with all three. Can they all be happy together? Readers should enjoy this book and I would highly recommend it.

I really the enjoyed this short story, The characters were built up well for the reader. And I enjoyed how the author uses many of the character's points of view to tell the story so the reader will be able to tell what each of the character is thinking and are not left wondering why they acted certain ways. This story was definitely really steamy also and I love stories like that. This story is definitely worth buying although I recieved it free as part of the author's ARC team in exchange for my honest review.

Unrequited feelings between step-brother/sister and friend. Jackson, Veronica (FMC) and Trevor find out they have feelings for each other which lead to steamy scenarios in this book. As usual its a short, steamy and sexy read from Ms Riley and i enjoyed reading it

In some ways a typical mmf threeway menage book, heavier on the steam and centered on the woman’s connection and enjoyment of the men. There is a bit of backstory, character portray and relationship chemistry. It’s brief and sometimes well written, but not always compelling, attractive, or romantic/sexy for me.

Just Between Us is the seventh book in the Just Us series. It's a story about Veronica, Jackson and Trevor. Veronica meets Trevor at the airport while she is waiting for her estranged stepbrother flight to come in. Jackson had lost everything in a house fire and his father had insisted on him coming home so he had somewhere to live while he was getting his life back on track. Jackson doesn't really want to but then he thinks of his best friend and decides to take his dad up on the offer. Veronica and Trevor click from the moment they met. He asks her out on a date for the following night. But ends up finding her at Jackson's dad's place and he realizes that she's Jackson's step sister. Read to find all the juicy details. I received an arc copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I love Roxanne Riley, I haven't read too many polyamory books but I am really enjoying these from Riley. Her books often have real character development as well a lot of three way sexy times that are bisexual.
