A woman in need of rescue. A spaceship full of swoon-worthy alphas. Are these horned beasts her salvation or more than what she bargained for?
Ivey’s Abduction
I awoke on a strange planet, naked and shackled by my throat to a wall. A bidding war begins, and I'm sold as a sex slave where the only way to ensure my survival is to pleasure the males aboard the spaceship where I must serve.
Unprepared for what these males have to offer, I’m shocked at how easily I succumb. What I find more surprising is how much I crave being under the hands of one male in particular, one male that might be my ticket home.
Warning: Captive: Nomadican Mates Series 1 is the first taste of Ivey’s captivating abduction. In this multi-book series, Ivey is the first of many to tell her story of a dark abduction and erotic survival. This series will leave you hanging on the edge of an erogenous cliff, but there’s no need to fret, the next stimulating alien encounter is only one click away.
Recommended for mature readers that love erotic, alpha aliens adorned with horns, fangs, and other —ahem— uniquely bizarre and satisfying appendages.
One of my least favorite heroine’s. Her going on a rant about how she’s a “citizen of the United States” and that it’s illegal for her to have been abducted (by aliens…) was just plane cringy. She was dull, a danger to herself and the MMCs, and incredibly annoying to read about. Her plotting out how to ‘best manipulate’ the heroes throughout 3.5/4 books just made her sink lower in my eyes. The heroes deserved better and I wish I had skipped past her story entirely.
3.5 stars so far pretty fun start to a series. Ivy has been kidnapped from Earth and is being auctioned as a slave when she's rescued by a Jason Momoa look alike alien. This series so far has everything I love about alien romance., A rescue by hunky alien male and a language barrier. Let's see where the series goes.
I wish it was longer 😕 I know it's only the first in the series... but I want more! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect going in but I never should have doubted Anders's ability to captivate and entertain.
Ivy wakes to find herself in a bit of a predicament. After careful analysis, she decides it's better to go with the monster who might be familiar than the one looks like it could star in its own horror film. Ivy has some pretty strong character traits she knows she is so in trouble and she is quick to analyze and act. I think I would have been screaming in the corner. And Natu... sigh.
I admit I have so so many questions! How? WTH? Why? Where? BUT? What? I need my questions answered! Normally this would bother me but knowing this is just the start of Ivy's journey and that eventually all my questions will be answered not only placated me but in a way that heightens the mystery and suspense. It is like dangling on a cliff by my fingers but having the rope within reach. For me, it was the way the characters, even though they are just touched upon, somehow felt...significant? It is hard to explain.
This does have a bit of dub con and questionable con- so if you have a problem with that you might want to skip this For those who enjoy an alien adventure that isn't quite a romance (yet) with lots of unknowns, a witty heroine and let us not forget a few smexy alien interludes then this just might be for you
I eagerly dove into this book,as the premise was interesting, just to just be severely disappointed in the execution. The first book is a complete, dedicated whine-fest that served no purpose, and failed to advance the plot. Characters are introduced and....introduced. Here is this guy. Oh,yeah, here is another guy. Meet guy 3. Ok.....so....what about him? Who is he? Where are they going? What are they doing? What is the objective here? NO character development AT ALL. The heroine is supposed to be "tough",but just comes off as a crybaby. Also, don't tease me with *ahem,ALIEN appendages* just for the first encounter to read as boring and lackluster as an awkward teenage tumble at makeout point in smalltown, usa. Nothing even REMOTELY hinting at intriguing anatomy. And,after finishing the first segment, because it can't even be called a book,THEN i realized all four"books" are about the same ill fleshed out, whiny, annoying characters. No thank you. Fool me once, you know.....DNF. my thoughts. Feel free to read and form your own opinion. But don't say you weren't warned.
The main character was so dumb. There is being unfamiliar with a situation and then there is running towards the death trap you were recently warned about type of dumb. I kept thinking that her love interests deserved better.
The smut was tame but plentiful. It was offset by some rather unique writing choices. The author decided to include descriptions of a love interest’s bad hygiene repeatedly. Bad hygiene is never sexy. It’s a deal breaker or should be a serious conversation. Every sex scene featuring him made me cringe. My lady parts cringed at the repeated use of a ceremonial fertility douche. The vagina is a complex ecosystem. It is a wonder of nature. The balance between good bacteria, bad bacteria, yeast, and ph can be thrown off by almost anything. I kept thinking what would happen if one had a yeast infection or bv in space? I did not want to think about these things.
i was not a fan of the fmc. i understand that not only was she kidnapped, she was taken away from her entire planet, but she’s just so… dumb?? these men are courting her and planning marriage and she’s allowing it while she doesn’t understand their full intentions and has plans to leave. yes, it’s not like she understands their customs but she sleeps with them and realizes that the ceremony she’s put through is essentially marriage but even after going through with it she’s like, “i’m still gonna leave though lol” what?? she wants the benefits but acts like there’s no repercussions and can la di da her way back home.
and what really blows me is that she keeps mentioning one of the guy’s she with had bad breathe but she overlooks that because she’s horny??? is that all it takes??? she mentions this all 4 books. not once, not twice, but through a couple hundred pages all the way to the end. not only that, she’s also adamant about sleeping with one of the guy’s she married to with who she hasn’t sleep with even though she wants to go home. “i’m gonna leave but it hurts my feelings that you don’t want me before i make my great escape” PICK A STRUGGLE.
another thing is the main intent of the males is to get her pregnant because they’re trying to repopulate. i get that. she doesn’t get that. once she does get that, she’s not onboard. but then the guy who she’s been wanting to sleep with is like, “so you agree to breed with us” and she basically immediately spreads her legs even though she doesn’t want a pregnancy just so she can sleep with this guy. WHAT is her issue.
i know she’s blonde but she’s so clearly a white woman because this is a direct quote from the book, “I have rights as a citizen of the United States! You can’t just come in and abduct people. That’s against the law.” it’s just so… there are no words. bestie, you’re not even in your GALAXY let alone the usa. be for real.
anyway this was just 60% the fmc being horny, 35% the fmc being annoying, and 5% interacting with the mmc’s outside of sex. make of that what you will.
I managed to read most of B1, but that was my limit. Skimmed over later parts to see if it developed into something I would want to continue, nope.
This started out interesting, but quickly devolved into a loosely developed plot to justify the non-stop sex scenes that made no sense (and after several repeats, were simply boring without an emotional connection or reason).
The guys were actually interesting, the FMC however was a total joke, as was the very poor job at world building (though that may well have improved later, I just know the FMC didn’t).
I’ve read a few others by this author that I greatly enjoyed, nothing like this, so was greatly dismayed and disappointed.
This is a genre I'm not normally into, but I've been converted. I read as single books and was left craving more at the end of each book, the next couldn't come quick enough.
This is a co-wrote book and the two authors blend seamlessly.
Ivie wakes in a strange world, surrounded by alien species and strange talk. The lust is strong and soon she craves the sex they give her and can't wait to be getting down and dirty with them. In a strange way she has feelings for them, each of them are so different to one another, and caring in their own ways. She still wants to go home though, but will they ever allow that to happen? and if she gets her wish will she regret it?
No spoilers of any kind included! This Nomadican Mates Bundle was absolutely pure awesomeness! I started with the first book and I was hooked by the second chapter and I stayed hooked until I got to the end of the fourth book. Which left me wanting and needing more at the end of the fourth book because I wasn’t ready to leave the world I was visiting. So if you are asking for my advice about this book bundle well my advice would be get it because I can honestly guarantee you won’t be disappointed in making that choice.
This is a reverse harem sci-fi romance. So expect plenty of hotness as these alien males take what they want. The story starts off with Ivey being abducted and put into slavery. So don’t expect any sweetness to start it off. I found it very interesting how they handy the whole not understanding each other’s language. There was no instant shot or something to instantly allow her to understand them. But she is one mentally tough human woman and she will show them what she is made of.
Ivy was abducted and sold at a market as an alien sex slave. She manages to end up with some decent males and keeps talking about how she is going to find a way home. Of course she's an idiot so that doesn't actually work out.
She was told by one of the males what she needed to do to stay safe and she was like yeah that's a good idea BUT I swore a while ago that I wouldn't let a man boss me around so now I will be forced to do something extremely stupid that will put myself and others in terrible danger.
I mean, not in so many words but this is basically what I got from this.
You will enjoy reading this story if you like sci-fi, alien abduction, menages, strong women comfortable with their sexuality, survivalist, action, bad-guy fights and HEA's. I am glad the four different books came altogether under this bundle cause the cliff-hanger endings of the three stories would have driven me nuts! Being able to continue reading each book has the story moving along at a good pace, keeps the intensity high and the eroticism "flowing."
I’m so happy with the way the series turned out. It has a natural and logical progression with realistic and dynamic characters. Each book in the series is interesting and engaging. I’m sad to end the series since I’ve grown so fond of the characters, but it was a happy ending. Well done!
Do not read this book!!! Rape ronchie gross no warning . Did not make it there a few chapters!!! This book is so horrible that it should have trigger warnings but it is so horribly written you can't believe it was written!!!! All you have to Do is what is wrong with the writer because this is no Author!!!!
This is the first four books in this series and they follow Ivey. She is taken from Earth and chained to a walk to be sold. She garners the attention of two Nomadican's and is bought. I'm not gonna lie, the first part of this series was pretty virtual for Ivey. If you like a boatload of explicit steam (And I do mean a boatload) and action, you'll like this book.
I really appreciate that all four books were bundled together so no cliffhanger angst was experienced. I thought the world building was good and I loved Ivy. I know it started out rugged with her males but they didn't allow their crew mates to rape her and pretty quickly decided to make her their mate. Will definitely be reading the next in this series.
It was extremely entertaining but I was angry at Xul Bay that it took him so long to give in. I laughed, I cried and got mad. Lol 😆 🤣 it was crazy to entertained I was with these book and loooooooooooved that I didn't have to wait month and months to read the next book 😅 🙃 😄 😆!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
To be honest the first series was good, but I did not like the concept of a sex slave. It was leaning towards rape and being a slave a falling for your captors. Being a sex slave meant to survive.
It was going okay until she willingly had sex with a guy with bad breath - like breath so bad it stinks of rotting flesh. How in the fuck is that a turn on? Instant no from me. Had to stop reading it was making me want to vomit. DNF.
Nothing I would read again but I still enjoyed the characters and the story I did have to skim over a bit of it but if you're a KU subscriber I would say check it out
I really enjoyed all four of these books. The world building was great, the story keep me intrigued throughout and I liked the characters. Now I am off to start the next bundle.
First, I want to say I enjoyed the books overall. Ivey is relatively likeable and realistic about her reactions and circumstances. Her captors act as expected toward someone who was bought to be slave to them. However, this is not what I would consider reverse harem. This whole situation is non-con and borderline Stockholm syndrome. She has no choices. No real chance. It's barely a romance. It's more about survival and adapting to slavery. Can't beat, join 'em. Reverse Harem romances are consensual partnerships with multiple partners. This is a slave/abductors story. It was well written and dark and saddening. It wasn't really a happy story even if she ended up with her slavers by choice. Is it really choice when she is conditioned to like them and sex was used to manipulate into it? I don't know. This books brought up a lot of conflicting feelings for me about this whole genre of books and made me feel a little dirty afterwards. I gave it three stars because the story wasn't bad necessarily, just definitely not what I was expecting.
These books were given to me for an honest review.
