He desires to save his species. She desires only to return to Earth. Will their love provide the middle ground they need to do both?

When Petra is auctioned off as a breeder in the Hub, the space station that serves as a literal breeding ground for clients of the interstellar company Galactic Continuity, she doesn’t quite know what to think of the godlike man before her. No, not man. Alien. For though the creature who purchased her looks human, no human has glowing sigils pulsating across his skin.

Tonx is a humorous, fun-loving space explorer who returned to his home planet Olympia to discover that the Titans, his species, had severely dwindled in number. That is how Tonx found himself here in the Hub, bidding on the bronze-skinned Earthling woman. She is fearless and brave in a way that makes Tonx excited to repopulate Olympia.

But the Earth woman Petra has no desire to mate with Tonx, and she couldn’t care less about his species.

Will Tonx be able to woo Petra and show her their kind aren’t so different after all, or will Petra succeed in convincing Tonx to relinquish ownership of her and return her to Earth?

While this book can be read on it’s own, you would need some background from the previous books to fill in the blanks.

After reading the blurb was expecting something different than what I read. Thought the author was taking things in a different direction when they said “goofy alien” than in Ignis which was much darker than Dredge the first book in the series.

We have reluctant male buyer Tonx and definitely don’t want any part of this human auction Petra. Not sure if Tonx is a god/demi-god since he’s from Olympia and the author doesn’t really let you in on the secret.

Unfortunately this book is an almost rinse and repeat of the first two books I’ve read in the series. The male alien purchases human female in the hopes of repopulating his planet. Not sure if they realize that is just not going to happen with one woman!?!? Human female slave is understandably pissed, scared and just wants to wake up for the nightmare they have found themselves in. They will have the mental conversation ad nauseam of resisting their new owner, not giving into to their advances, then noticing they are put together nicely, must resist, one kiss should be fine and nothing more. Well he’s being nice so maybe some hugs would be ok, but no falling in love and DEFINITLY NO SEX. Well the sex wasn’t so bad and he’s kinda cute…still no don’t want anything to do with him….maybe one more time in the sack…you get the drift.

One of them or both of them go on and on about either wanting to return to earth, must repopulate my planet, my dead mate etc…We do get snippets of behind the scenes stuff that might give some clues as to how this is happening and how come no one has stopped the abduction of these earth women. I do try to finish a series once I’ve started it, so I’m hoping to at least get some sort of answer eventually.

Petra starts off as a bit of a wet noodle then vacillates between I want to remain pure and chaste, to a vamp and decides she wants to seduce Tonx to a stone cold butcher, lets hack off a limb or two and see what happens. It’s like the author couldn’t decide what to make her into.

Tonx started off as a bit of an immature male, turned into a big jerk, then prince charming and finally protector.

We do get some guest appearances from some of the other members of the first 2 books, which only leaves you with loads of questions and not much in the way of answers. There are some sexual assaults that happen thankfully you don’t get the details but you do know it’s happening and you feel powerless to do anything to stop it.

Hopefully the story starts to pick up some momentum soon and doesn’t get to bogged down in the same drama different species trap.

Tonx copes with the sudden loss of his species by buying a kidnapped Earth woman at auction, with the internal claim that he only wants to protect her. And while this is true, he also seeks her affection in hopes of not letting his species completely die out, and because he develops feelings for the woman who can make him temporarily forget he has lost everything. Likewise, Petra seeks comfort in Tonx, sees him as an opportunity to get back home, and finds herself falling for him.

But there is an eerie connection between this auction house and species whose populations are being decimated, further rolled up with a shocking connection between Tonx's species/their history, and the stories of the Greek gods that Petra grew up hearing. The reader eagerly starts to surmise what sort of connection there might be between Tonx's and Petra's home, and perhaps the stories of Petra's childhood could help fight a common enemy.

Tonx's culture is not elaborated on, but the structure, processes and policies of the Galactic Continuity company are planned out and are as unique as their are sinister.

The story continues, it started with Dredge, a creature made of light, then Ignis, a creature of fire. Now, Tonx, a titan had fallen in love with Petra. Tonx is the son of Zeus from Olympia, and Petra was from Greece who is also dyslexic (kinda reminds me of Percy Jackson). I liked the portion where Petra was telling the tales of his people; she believed it was just a story and yet in front of him is the ‘real’ deal. I liked this story the most so far, Tonx is willing to let her go, sacrifice himself so that she can return to Earth. Their revolution did not go as planned, what happened to the humans and that of the rest as her ship sailed away..... is she really going back to earth... so many questions.....

Suspense is growing and getting intense.

In this book, we continue with them the main plot of the others, only this time its a girl named Petra on on the auction block and an Olympian named Tonx who rescues her. Tonx is actually more virtuous than the prior guys as he is there to investigate and save the girl. I won't give spoilers but I found this book very fast paced and maybe my favorite one.. with one little thing that bother me..

And this is a note to the author.. 'Dripping Cavity' ...

.. lol.

Not a word you want to read repeatedly in your romance. There has got to be a better alien term :P

Anyhow, great book if you love Aliens. Start with the first one! Can't wait for the next, especially because everything has gone to heck in a handbasket!!

Tonx sought refuge on the insectoids pleasure/mating planet because his family and their planets had been destroyed. He purchased Petra to keep with the illusion of his purpose being there and because he couldn’t stand for the human to be treated so horribly as ones before. The humans were planning a revolution to return to earth. Would Petra get sucked into the revolution without getting killed? Would the relationship between Tonx and Petra become true mates with an offspring? Would any of them return to earth? Fun and interesting story

Well written story full of drama, danger and heat

This is my first book to the series and it started of with such a punch that it really grabbed me. The danger and tension, not to mention angst and traumatic loss, kept me hooked. I felt so bad for Tonx and completely terrorized for Petra. Yikes, her situation was scary! But Tonx did save the day for her and their story was full of emotions, confusion and chemistry. It's not a complete story but it ended at a logical place. I look forward to seeing how everything comes together for these two.

This was so much more than I expected going into the read. Tonx was an intelligently written steamy story and the characters have chemistry and depth.

Okay

Would have been better with a lot of professional editing. The book was good. I loved that it was based on Greek mythology. But it needed editing.

DNF over 27 percent

Petra and Tonx

Spoilerish content to justify rating

I decided to stop reading this one at the 27 percent mark.
Petra comes off as kind of slow and weak. She was petrified for pretty much all of what I read in this one, so her name being Petra is very fitting.
Tonx was supposed to have a fun and god personality. But up until the 27 percent mark, it hadn’t made itself known.
Thank gosh he’s finally starting to question how some of these aliens are facing trouble and it’s like Slep behind it.
This story is also on the space station and with the H buying a h breeder.
The theme for this book is Greed Gods. Tonx is the son of Zeus.
Something about the Greek gods story line in space just didn’t vibe right IMO.
