Captured. Auctioned off. Forced to make a decision between life or death.

Clea knows where she is, and she knows what she is expected to do. She just can’t bring herself to do it. When a handsome, aged creature named Ignis wins the bid for Clea’s body, she makes up her mind: she will fight her way out of his arms before she lets herself be forced into his bed.

Ignis didn’t want to be at the Hub, and he definitely didn’t want to be in the position he was in now: that of wooing his way between the legs of the human woman before him. What he really wanted was his wife, the one whose flame had been extinguished many annums before. But the fate of his entire planet rested upon his shoulders, and he was determined to do his duty.

And yet, the longer Ignis is around feisty human Clea, the more the ruler of the war planet Incenda realizes the Earth woman has her own fire deep inside.

Will Ignis persuade Clea to be his mate and help him save his home planet, or will the heat of their warring desire and hatred for each other consume them both?

If you like sexy alpha aliens, fiery human females, and gut-wrenching romance, reserve your copy of Ignis, the second book in the sci-fi fantasy romance series, Galactic Seduction!

Again I'm glad this book wasn't a cliche. But I didn't like how quickly the two fell in love. It was like on one page they hated each other then on the next she's getting turned on because he punched her.

Besides that I liked both characters. Clea was A lot different than samantha which I was happy for. Ignis was an asshole for a very long time.

I wasnt happy with the cliffhanger ending and I know reading the next book will be with two new characters.

Mean h ruined this one

Clea and Ignis
Spoiler ish content to justify rating

I saw this series advertised on fb and thought ehh I’ll give it a go because I adore SFR.
This one was basically the same story as book one. Space station mate auction. Male getting to know his bought female. No real action.
However, this h, Clea, was MEAN. She was stupid, running from the bad aliens with their lazer guns. She didn’t listen to Samantha’s warnings. And then she’s mean and short tempered with the H, Ignis.
She terrified of him because he has flames because as a young girl at 8 her family had a house fire and she lost her sister. And instead of talking to the H about this, she goes through the majority of the book before they talk and explains to him finally why she doesn’t like fire. Super annoying.
She’s snippy with him, mean, doesn’t appreciate that he’s not forcing himself on her. There was also a lot of focus in the book on her being African American and from Mississippi.
Ignis, well, he’s not that great in the personality department. He’s also hung up battling within himself in this book feeling like he’s betraying his murdered wife he had before he adored. That was a real damper on the story.
And the guy who killed his wife’s come to the station to buy himself a breeder also! So then they’re fighting and drama. So basically, there was NO romance between this couple. Him being so hung up on his previous wife really should have beat her down emotionally even though she didn’t want him.
And Slep, the alien running the station was horrible. How has no one taken him out yet? And then he’s keeping this H a prisoner. Makes no sense he’s getting away with that behavior.
I started book 3 after this one and it’s a play on the Greek Gods stories and the h is super whiny. I tried it until about 20 percent and stopped reading it. No real desire to keep reading this series.

This is the next book in the Galactic Seduction series. This story is about Clea another woman taken from earth and Ignis her new alien owner. While Dredge was a bit cute and had some sweet moments this book is a lot darker and has a bit more filler.

Clea is a strong black woman who is not settling for being owned. She wants off that planet and is willing to go through anyone to do it. Ignis is also trying to save his planet and get over his wife who was killed.

I had a harder time really connecting to the characters in this story. Clea was a bit standoffish but her strength did win me over. Ignis was a different matter, he spent almost half of the book lamenting and mourning his dead wife. She was like the unwanted part of a threesome.

This book is a bit more gritty and you get to learn the under handed way the women are being taken off planet. The point is really driven home that this is human trafficking and all of the ugly that goes with it.

It seemed to take forever for Clea and Ignis to finally come together there was just too much push and pull for me to really invest in their relationship. You do get a bit more of Samantha and Dredge’s story and see how things are progressing in their relationship. However I felt this story was drug out a bit much and then it ends on a cliffhanger to head to book 3. Hopefully things wrap up in that book.

To be fair, this review was written after reading the bulk of the series. And,honestly,i wasn't too jazzed with the book when i was reading it,but thought i'd give the series a go to see if it improved. Spoiler--it did not. This book is a repeat of book one,and a glimpse into book 3--which is to say, auctioned human female with "strange" alien that she despises for buying her (yet is actually pretty chivalrous towards her), while plotting escaping the alien stronghold, but possibly without the hero. What i disliked so much about all the books was the massive amount of time each heroine spent lamenting her circumstances, plus the insectoid alien overlords unusual power over EVERYONE. Even after the auctions, the humans, and their alien boyfriends,STILL kowtow to the whims and authority of the captain, having no freedom to leave,or freely interact together. And to me,that was weirdest plot hole that i couldn't wrap my head around, and took me straight out of the story. Purchase acquired, hangar full of spaceships, yet NO ONE LEAVES,and indeed the women are still told when to jump.and how high by the space captain, while their boyfriends look on helplessly. The premise is a good one,but was poorly executed,AND over the course of 4.5 books,at that.

This is the story of Ignis an alien fire king and Clea, a black woman he bought at an alien auction. This is the second book in this series which does not end in an hea, yet. Clea was abducted from earth along with a few other women, then auctioned off to the highest bidder, which for her was Ignis the fire king. She does not simply weep and accept her fate, she fights, which intrigued her new owner. Even though he found her strength appealing, he still mourns the death of his wife Gylenda throughout most of the story. While Clea, although finding herself drawn to him, refuses to be mated by him or owned.

This story was a bit darker than the first book which was lighter and bit more romantic. The characters from that book Samantha and Dredge are in this story also. I enjoyed the story and these characters. I liked that she was strong, vulnerable and a fighter. I also liked that Ignis recognized that and soon started to look at her differently. This is a good story and it will keep your interest from beginning to end. As I said, it does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared.

Good read

I really enjoyed this book it had very interesting characters and a good storyline. I do have to say that while I loved the female lead, as she was feisty and fought her captors throughout the book, the male lead was harder for me to fall in love with as he took so long to get his act together. I really did not like the way he thought of his dead wife while he was with Clea. He eventually got it together and while I understood that he was grieving I felt that he should have been more considerate in that regard. This is why I give this book 4 stars instead of 5 stars as this happened more than once. The book however was good and even though the male lead Ignis made me frustrated he did have redeeming qualities and got it together in the end. I wish I had read the first book first as I was interested in Samantha and her story. I volunteered to review this book and appreciate the author and her work. I will definitely read her first book and the next book that comes out.

This series is a worthwhile read in my opinion. You get a new couple in this one with a continuing storyline. Characters from the first book also make appearances in this book which helps you to empathize more with both the alien buyers and the human women. Clea is a survivor who doesn't go along meekly so I expect she will continue to be a strong influence in the efforts toward escape. Ignis takes a little bit to warm up to since he is still grieving his mate for quite a bit of the book. This couple seem to match almost to well. Both have hot tempers, fighters, and seem to react impulsively without thinking through their actions. The bad guys make it even easier to dislike them in this book if that is even possible. The ending left me with quite a few questions so fingers crossed the next book will be soon.

I found this to be an entertaining read that had wonderful characters that were not just likeable but also relatable. Clea was a strong woman that despite her lot in life still had fight in her. And Ignis was still determined to stay true to a mate that was no longer alive. Once they came together the chemistry was really something. This was definitely a good read.

The author built an interesting alien world and aliens themselves are quite different. Ignis, a creature made of fire has chosen a female who was afraid of fire. Fascinating story how the two bonded but then it ended in a cliffhanger.

I hated the cliffhanger. Usually I will stop reading a series because of that. But I will be reading the next book. I love the hero and heroine, how they had to overcome their past pain. How fierce they were.

Quick Read

Not as good as the first book in this series at all. It was okay, but some parts were just kind of a drag.

I'm loving this story. The way it continues the main plot from the first book while introducing new characters. And once again the author is so unique in her creations (Although, I do feel bad for Clea - I personally would not be able to stand a man that smelled like gasoline all the time). The love interest in this book is also one that you feel for as he is grieving a loss. And Clea - She is bad ass, I love her spirit and her tragic background brought me to tears.

I can't wait to see how this all plays out.

Stopped at chapter 8. I don't like the main character. She ticked me off in particular when she was fighting with samantha about how she doesn't know what it's like to be a slave.
She has no clue how long samantha has been there or what she has been through or does, yet shes having this piss contest, i was glad when samantha told her that she doesnt know what being a slave is like only her ancestors (main character is black) fucking annoying bitch that only wants to fight and thinks shes strong blah blah no thank you.
