Holy shit Gege art is getting better and better as the fights become more brutal and stunning all at once.

The start of this volume picks up where the last one left off and Kokichi Muta goes head to head with Mahito in a gundam like battle that's fucking insane yet glorious. By the end I was in shock who lived and who died.

Then we divert our attention to Gojo who's underground in a subway dealing with three powerful spirits/curses. Hanami, Jogo, and then Choso. With all three attacking him Gojo has his hands filled but when he stops playing around we see just how powerful the master is.

You also have Itadori working with two other students to take down curses and you get to see one of my favorite new curses, Mr. Grasshopper.

This was exciting, fun, badass, bloody, and surprising all at once. GIVE ME MORE JUJU!!!!

“Neither his blade nor his words reached as intended. Evil intentions swell up in Shibuya.”

This. Was. Terrifying.

No, I don't mean it because it had anything truly scary in itself, because it doesn't quite yet, but because the sheer atmosphere is horrible and it set my teeth on edge.

Which is not quite right, since some pretty bad things did happen. It's just that, compared with the atmosphere of what it's to come, it doesn't feel like enough.

From the very beginning, those first three chapters, the tension just starts to ramp up. It feels like a wire being coiled as tight as it will go, a wire that at the most unexpected moment will spring free. It made it very difficult to read.

Matter of fact, I needed to take a break right before really starting the Shibuya Arc because I couldn't take all the anticipation.

“Don’t bet all your hopes and dreams in a single plan, man. It’s so pitiful that I don’t know what face I should be making.”

Let me just tell you, I hate Mahito, so much.

I hate him, truly and deeply.

It's just, his attitude towards anything and everything makes me nauseous.

Honestly, it's funny, because nothing really big happened in this chapter. Nothing earth-shattering or truly surprising - though I suppose that Nanami thing was interesting - occurred, and yet, it didn't need it to make me hate/love this arc already.

I'm so nervous it's not even funny.

Can I just say how freaking scared this volume has me? Because I am terrified of it.

If I am not mistaken, the whole Shibuya thing will start here and... I am most definitely not ready for it. I don't want to see it. Yet again, reading it already is the whole reason I started reading the manga.

Either way, wish me luck, I think this volume is gonna murder me for good.

- Mahito vs Mecamaru, aparece la marioneta Ultimate Mecamaru, gigante y poderosa. Sin embargo, Mahito vuelva a sacar su expansión territorial “Prisión Mahayana" sin embargo Mecamaru saca el territorio imperfecto, pero Mahito es prácticamente invencible y acaba con él, no pudiste verlos a todos, siento compasión por él, pero no deja de ser un traidor.

- Comienzan los eventos en Shibuya, tengo miedo de lo que está pasando. Encerraron a muchas personas en una cortina Tobari y piden que Gojo acuda. Desde el inicio de esta historia se ha planeado esto, todo parece muy detallado solo por un hombre.

- Gojo se enfrenta a 3 maldiciones especiales el solo. Hanami adiós, pensé que eras más fuerte.

- Itadori se enfrena a una maldición que parece un saltamontes nada difícil para su nivel actual.

- Hasta ahora muchas peleas, pero no se ve muy claro el objetivo aparte de sellar a Gojo. Repito, tengo miedo. Un despliegue de magos y maldiciones de alto nivel y sin miedo a esconderse de los humanos.

the shibuya incident flashbacks are kicking in and here i am rereading this arc again 🙂

This was an okayish volume and e have 3 breather chapters after Yuji and all recover and gaining their ground until they hear of the Shibuya incident and the biggest arc till now starts here! When they go there they see people have been mutated and the curses led by Getou and Mahito are killing people left and right, the passengers are trapped using some barriers which shamans can't enter. While Gojou is fighting Jougo and Hanami, Yuuji is formulating a plan with Mei-Mei and her brother and takes on a Grasshoper curse-spirit and the battle is certainly intense but seeing what has happened and the transfigured humans, he kills that curse while Gojou takes out Hanami and Jougo is running away meanwhile Mahito finally arrives! Seems like the next battle will be interesting!

Its an epic start to one of the most ambitious arcs! Also the art is bloody, brutal and just amazing! The consequences of this arc will be amazing to follow!

I need to breathe first! This is freaking insane! I was sobbing when the train full of disfigured humans arrived. Snot was coming out of my nose when I saw Gojo's miserable face as those disfigured humans swarmed towards fresh bloods. Shit. Indeed a warm welcome, Shibuya Incident arc. I'm losing all my nerves. My heart doesn't beat anymore like it's trapped alongside those mortals.

What is Satoru Gojo to you? I'm freaking laughing and crying while reading their answers. But/and the strongest.

By the way, so is Kokichi dead? 😩 that was my first freaking cry. He wanted so badly to meet everyone. I was touched when Miwa said he wanted to visit him someday. Oh gosh, the tears are here again.

I love and hate the Shibuya arc. It's so awesome but so damn sad at the very same time.
This volume has everything you could ask for.

Mahito is an ass.
Gojo shows how awesome he is. Like I love when he goes feral.
Itadori is the ray of sunshine I need in my life.
