Indestructible by Blake K Healy is a powerful book to equip us in our walk with God. We want to be indestructible so that when the enemy attacks, we can repel him.
Blake K Healy peppers his book with personal stories making this an easy book to relate to. The author has a very engaging style. Throughout there are scriptures to back up his words.
Life is a spiritual battle and we would be wise to choose God. Being where He has called us is the safest place to be. We need to always be aware of where the light is. The light will always dispel the darkness.
Blake K Healy tells us that the enemy steals, kills and breaks. He feeds us lies, lies that only have power if we believe them. We need to be able to discern the truth from the lies, and realign our perspective with God’s.
We are free to choose our responses to all that life throws at us. “It is about engaging with a problem from a place of conviction with God.” When we stand with God, we stand from a place of victory.
To fight the enemy we need to have developed a relationship with God. We need to be intimate with Him, know His Word (the Bible), converse with Him in prayer and worship Him. When we have a relationship with God, we are able to conquer our fears. Fear and faith cannot exist side by side.
We need others too. “Connection to other people is not optional… It is part of how God designed us.” Church was Jesus’ great idea for planet earth. We are called to stand with other Christians and go out into all the world. Jesus never said ‘stay safe inside the building’ but told us to “Go.” If we want to be indestructible we must line our actions up with His words.
Indestructible was a really powerful book that will aid your walk with God as it equips us for battle. Blake K Healy says that God has a calling on all our lives. I will leave you with this powerful quote:
“The enemy is always doing everything he can to undermine that call [of God], whether you are pursuing it or not.”
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

I have read all of Blake’s books and enjoyed them. However, this book is the most practical and applicable of them all.
I loved how Blake shared Tactics and Traps of the enemy and at the end of each chapter he asks question so you can identify if this is an area you struggle with. I always thought I struggled with fear but based on his questions I don’t really have that issue. But there were others I do deal with. After you reflect on those questions you he gives you resources to read to help in that area. I have added many books to my wish list 🙂
The next part is how to become indestructible. Another powerful part of this book and he also gives resources here.
One area he talked about was community. I never have given that much thought and honestly, I like being by myself, I struggle to connect with people and have the desire to do so. I like my quiet time. But he shared a very powerful story about the power of having a community of friends to be there for you.
I had only one concern and that was with a book he recommended. Apparently, it is based on the Enneagram stuff. I know a lot of Christian do this, and I don’t know much about it, I have never looked into it, but I have also heard other Christians warn against this, that is has pagan roots and we really shouldn’t be messing with it and it is very self focused. Like I said, I don’t know much about any of that, only what I have heard, but wanted to caution you about that, I am not endorsing that at all.
Other than that word of caution, I highly recommend this book.

A copy of this book was given to me. All opinions are my own.

You would be better pressed to drop fortune cookie notes on the ground and write random Bible verses than read this book. Blake is a master manipulator who's whole purpose is to "empower" you with generic self help quotes. Yes demonic entities exist but to say that anyone can harness this "Spirit gift" can and will lead to a distorted understanding of scripture.
The entire books contains 24 verses from the Bible, out of these only 6 are directly talked about in his writing. His stories as nice as they are do not have a deep scriptural basis. You cannot talk about these things with the type of authority that he claims to have with the speculative verses that the Bible contains.

His church, Bethel Atlanta, is at risk of being a cult and if this review is deleted I suspect it's suppression. The charismatic movement is dangerous because it feeds off of your emotional desire to grow closer to Jesus while teaching toxic beliefs and actions to it's followers.

I absolutely loved Healy’s first two books. I was slower to warm up to this one. Seems he delves more into theology than personal experience with this one and I couldn’t consistently justify his theology with Scripture. Despite those reservations the book has much to offer in regard to spiritual insight and thought provoking perspectives.

This book was such a great read. There's a powerful mix of the author's experiences and interpretation with guidance for the reader.

It's definitely a book which I'll be returning to again.

Great Book

Another great book from one of my favorite authors. It is always a joy to read Blake's books. His pen is definitely dipped in the inks of heaven and it opens up my understanding to realms of the Spirit, particularly the Fathers heart. I doubt I have read any of his three books without years in my eyes. Thank you Blake Healy. I look forward to meeting you one day.

“Every human being on this planet has a call of God on his or her life. The enemy is always doing everything everything he can to undermine that call, wether you are pursuing it or not. The safest place you can possibly be is in the middle of where God called you to be. In no other place will you be as empowered, equipped, and capable.”

“It is only through hearing His voice that we can separate ourselves from shame and condemnation while embracing His loving correction. His love - a love so powerful that it can require growth yet still love us just as we are - is the only thing that can break the cycle of shame.”

“We were never meant to navigate this world alone. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would teach us all things and guide us into all truth. When we forget to stop and wait for His presence, we miss out on a big part of what Jesus paid for.”

Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

“It doesn’t matter what you are afraid of. It doesn’t matter if what you are afraid of is logical or illogical. All that matters is that you know who is with you.”

“God is the only one who can reveal the truth. He is the only one who can give helpful insight into your weaknesses, flaws, and failings. God’s correction is overflowing with kindness and love; it does not bring condemnation but provides the power to grow. God will bring us through through His written Word, through His voice, and through our relationships with His children. We do not need to dig through the lies of the enemy to find truth; our Father is the author of all truth.”

“Knowing God makes us indestructible”

“Rest and fun are not optional parts of a healthy life. Peace and joy are both fruit of the Spirit, the manifestations of the transformative power of God in your life. Making time for rest and having fun are some of the most practical and effective ways to protect peace and joy in your life. Peace and joy are essential ingredients to an indestructible life.”

“Being indestructible means building a life that is free from influence of the enemy and rooted in influence from God.”

“You are designed by His hand to release His glory. He is infinite. There is no end to His glory. There is no one in history who can reveal it like you. So, find your hulk and go shine.”

This book, guys. Wow. I listened to this as an audiobook and it was phenomenal. Let me just preface this by saying I have read/listened to Blake Healy’s first book, The Veil, three times. Each time I listen, I glean new revelation and I really hear God speaking through it. Thus, I was actually a little hesitant to pick up another book by him because I didn’t know if it could live up to the way I love The Veil. Boy, was I wrong.

Blake has an anointing to write and speak about the spiritual realm. Just some background, Blake is a seer. For those who don’t know, this is a gift of the Spirit where he is able to see into the spiritual realm. (Yes, it is biblical) If you’re not familiar with this sort of thing or it sounds like a fantasy novel, please please read his first book and he will explain. If you go into it with an open heart, seeking God I truly believe you will find truth in it and that God will reveal it to you.

Now all that being said, let’s focus on indestructible. Blake in this book exposes the most common tactics that the enemy uses to keep people (even Christian’s) in spiritual bondage. After exposing these tactics, he also gives practical ways to overcome these and how to live from an offensive standpoint, rather than constant defending and trying to fight. We are very much in a battle in the spirit, the Bible says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [c]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. “ Eph 6:12 NKJV

Some of what he spoke of seemed simple or common sense, but it just dawned on me in a greater way. He takes the time to explain things that happen to us could have demonic roots and if we can recognize that, the enemy can’t have hold over us.

A good quote: “persistent unresolvable confusion is often a sign of demonic influence. And indication that the enemy is trying to prolong emotional pain or trick you to make a hasty decision. Stop processing and take a breath”

I highly highly recommend. One of my favorite books of the year. If you have any questions/comments about this topic, put them below and we can chat :)

This was one of the most impactful books I have ever read. One of my close friends suggested I read this book, and it took me a while to finally sit down and start reading, but once I did, I was absolutely hooked. I have not shut up about this book, suggesting it to all my friends, Christian and non-Christian alike.

I've been struggling with my relationship with God for such a long time now. As an author myself, I've also struggled with how I want to implement my Christ-centered values into my writing. Reading this book has made such a significant impact on my relationship with God, my perspective on spiritual warfare, and how I will continue writing my books (currently finishing up book 3, book 2 in a paranormal fiction/fantasy series centered on Guardians, warriors from Heaven, who protect and help a girl named Kalea, who was attacked by a demon).

God has truly spoken through Blake. I applaud you, Blake, for leaning into what God has given you as a gift and purpose. Indestructible was a perspective change (or lens cleaner, to quote one of the chapters!) and now a learning tool on how to approach spiritual warfare and how to further lean into our time and relationship with Jesus. Thank you.

This book is incredible. It talks about the topic of demons from a very Jesus-centered, empowered, and even light-hearted perspective while also conveying the very real darkness and danger we all face. I feel like this book is necessary for every believer that has ever experienced spiritual warfare. In my experience, other books that talk about such topics can actually invite more fear, suspicion, and religiousity into the heart reader, opening them to the very demons they're attempting to equip themselves against. But this book feels perfectly balanced and written with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It was fascinating and even thrilling to read some of the author's experiences that validated my own. It felt less like listening to a sermon and more like watching a well-written anime with spiritual lessons woven into it. I got my friends to read it too and we're all soaring higher spiritually because of it.

This was the first book I've read by Blake Healy. I was aware that there are two other books before this one, but even so, it was a smooth read, and I didn't feel like I missed out on anything at all. I like this book. I first heard about it during Blake's interview with Michael Knowles on YouTube, and I immediately went to buy it.

It's also probably my first book about spiritual warfare. While most of the things mentioned about becoming indestructible were somewhat expected, it's still a good and worthwhile read. I love how the author seamlessly narrates and describes his personal experiences in the spiritual realm to align with the application and points he was trying to make.

With that said, I really, really love the stories! They help drive the point home and provide a sense of what it must be like in the spirit. I especially loved the story about the woman with loads of unopened letters/envelopes and the last one about Jesus. :)

To the author, thank you for writing this!

With so many things being thrown at us today, it's time to learn how to be protected! Nothing helps more than to know what is causing our mental and spiritual attacks; and how we can obtain victory!! In reading this book and applying it's counsel, I have come to a new level of freedom from anxiety, depression, stress and doubt. I am now the director of the prayer team at my church and actively living a Psalm 91 life. This book truly does offer biblical direction, along with spiritual experiences for examples of how it actually looks upon application. I'd recommend it to anyone who's tired of always feeling like they are under attack.

Astounding! I have read many books on spiritual warfare, spiritual battles etc, but this book was absolutely revolutionary in its approach. As Blake says, it is all about perspective, and this is a huge perspective shift. This has simplified years and books of teachings into a mindblowing, grace filled, rest and identity fueled stance on the spirit realm. This removes all the struggle, all the striving, all the fear, and leaves you in a place of rested victory realizing how much has been done and that most is smoke and mirrors when have the right perspective. I will absolutely be rereading this and recommending it to every believer I know.

The name of the book, "Indestructible" nails it on the head as to why all of us, in the Lord, are indestructible. Understanding who we are in the Lord and what has been provided through His grace empowers us to move forward without any distractions from the enemy of our souls. Renewing our minds to the word will release this authority and show us the side we are on, the winning side.
I would encourage everyone to grasp this revelation knowing we are already victorious.

I want to read this book again. Even though it's technically about spiritual warfare and understanding the demonic, it's really about who we are in Christ, who our loving Heavenly Father is and the freedom we can live in.

Many Christian books are just self-help books with some Bible verses thrown in. The message in this book feels more like an easy yoke and light burden instead of a long list of Things To Do Better and More Things To Get Right.

Highly recommend for everyone.

I really enjoyed this book. It puts spiritual things into a more real perspective; it gives visuals to the things we experience physically, mentally, and emotionally. I think that helps me understand what's happening to me and better prepare and fight against it. I'm so glad I read this and I would recommend it to anyone looking to better understand their personal struggles at a deeper level so they can get through them.

Great Book

I’ve read The Veil preciously...... there are so many experiential and encouraging tools and insights in here for our walk with the Lord. I love being able to see how things really look at times and appreciate Blake’s vulnerability in sharing his process. I see, but usually in dreams.... so it’s a bit different. Thankful for the tools.

One of the best guides for helping Christians overcome their difficulties. we oftentimes forget, God is there. In this book, Blake gives examples for most scenarios that we run into, along with a method to fix it. The hardest thing about this is, after reading it, how many of us will put his advice into practice? I plan to.

Change the way I see, I think, I act

This book is awesome, it is simple, easily to practice to have indestructible life, but need commitment to do it all the way of our life.
It change the way I saw, change the way I think and change the way i fight.
It is time to do what I'm reading into practice.

A solid and biblical perspective; the best book I've read on spiritual warfare. Healy emphasizes the importance of focusing on what God is doing rather than on what the enemy is doing. The enemy only has as much power over us as we allow him to have, which is based on our perspective of his power and abilities.

Another really encouraging book by Blake Healy. I’ve officially read all three of his books, and have to say they’ve been deeply impactful to my faith and my understanding of God’s goodness. I love how every single experience he writes about always points back to God and our relationship with Him. So, so good.

The book was challenging because I do not see in the spirit, but it was so encouraging, empowering, and uplifting. I’m thankful Blake listened to the voice saying to write this book. I know I needed it, and I’m sure others do, too.

Blake Healy is a great writer and conveys so well his experiences in seeing in the spirit. This book is particularly concerned with the antics of the enemy, and how to recognise and deal with attacks. A helpful resource.
