Rate this book
Meet six of the most wickedly sinful earls in all of Regency England. Together they make up the Wicked Earls’ Club. A secret group, marked with a single golden W; it is a place where these deliciously devious earls can indulge in their darkest desires. Though fate may have something else planned for them entirely.

Earl of Weston by Anna St. Claire

Edward Hunter, confirmed bachelor, returns from an assignment with the Crown to find his brother killed and himself the new Earl of Weston—a position he never wanted. Hattie Longbottom is an aging, sheltered spinster who suddenly finds herself forced to leave her home with her beloved parrot, Archie, and travel to her brother’s home. Can a reluctant earl revenge his brother’s murder and save a spinster in the process?

Earl of Davenport by Maggie Dallen

The Devil of Davenport is in need of a bride. Everyone knows the wicked earl is looking to wed, but only his childhood friend Anne knows his secret. Despite what society believes, he's not a devil—not really. Not at all. Of course, he's no saint either. He's all man. And while Anne's less scandalous sister might be the logical choice for a wife, she's not the one who makes his pulse race. To win his angel, this earl may just have to live up to his devilish title.

Earl of Grayson by Amanda Mariel

Charlotte is a true lady and Damien a determined rake. When their paths cross they have every reason to turn in the opposite direction, and yet they cannot seem to avoid one another. Passions flare, putting them both at risk. They stand not only to lose their reputations, but more importantly, their hearts.

Earl of Pembroke by Lauren Smith

Gillian Beaumont is no lady, as the bastard daughter of an earl and working as a lady's maid, the last thing she needs is to fall in love with an earl. But when the sweetly seductive Earl of Pembroke mistakes her for her mistress, he falls head over heels for her in this upstairs-downstairs romance.

Earl of St. Seville by Christina McKnight

After the untimely death of her bareknuckle boxing mother from injuries sustained in the ring, Lady Patience Lane thinks she’ll never return to that world. Until she meets the devilishly tempting Sinclair Chambers, the Earl of St. Seville. If he’s going to get the prize purse and save his people from starvation, he needs training before his next match. Together, Sin and Patience will fight not just to win the prize purse, but for the love of a lifetime.

Who knew I’d become an author? Not me. But when the opportunity knocked, I answered the door and welcomed it in. I approach life with as much positivity as I can—celebrating the hits and laughing at the misses. Nothing worthwhile is easy, and that includes everything in my life. But I have much to smile about—my lovely mother, a beautiful daughter, two precious granddaughters, my adorable dogs, and my sweet husband of over thirty years. He has always supported me—including uprooting to move to the other side of Charlotte, N.C. for a life change, just when we thought we were settled.

If settled means not going after my dreams, then I never want to be settled. I give my all to things I enjoy—and that includes writing. In 2021, I hit the USA Today Bestselling Author list, and recently, two of my books were named RONE Finalists!

I love to express myself to the point that my daughter avoids going to the movies with me because I’m that woman in the row in front of you who gleefully munches her popcorn and laughs at every hilarious scene. Loudly. Besides my family, I love chocolate, popcorn, laughter, and animals. I love animals so much that I frequently sprinkle them in my stories as secondary characters. They usually steal the show! British and American history have always interested me, so writing historical romances set in the U.K. and the US is where my passion is.

When I was barely three years old, my parents divorced, and my mom moved my sister and me from New York to South Carolina to live near her parents. Juggling a full-time job and full-time school, my mother became my first genuine hero—she never waved the white flag when things were tough. And things quickly got tough. My grandmother, who helped care for my sister and me while my mother worked, became ill with cancer, and didn’t survive the surgery, dying before I was seven. Losing Grandma devastated me. She read to me and taught me to read before I started first grade. I credit her for inspiring my love of reading, and I credit my mother for encouraging me to turn my ideas into stories.

When I was ten, my neighbor gave me her book club copy of Margaret Mitchell’s Gone with the Wind and it remains one of my favorite books. But it was Kathleen Woodiwiss’ Shanna and Ashes in the Wind, that hooked me on historical romance and sparked my dream of becoming a published author.

While I primarily write Regency Romance, I enjoy almost any period in American and British history.

Earl of Weston by Anna St. Claire

Edward Hunter, confirmed bachelor, comes home from an assignment with the Crown to find his brother killed, and his father dead from grief. He is now the Earl of Weston. While searching for leads to his brother’s murder, he finds himself forced to attend ton entertainments he normally would have avoided. Hattie Longbottom is an aging, sheltered spinster who has spent the last ten years caring for her invalid parent. With the death of her mother, she is forced to leave her home. Because she refuses to separate from her beloved parrot, Archie, her only option is to travel to Eynsham and live with her brother Robert and his family. The journey to his estate wakes Hattie up to the harsh realities of life outside of her little village & she has a day that only gets worse until she is faced with a future she certainly didn’t envisage.
Oh Archie stole this delightful short story with his antics & language. Edward is honourable but his heavy drinking has its consequences. Hattie changes from strait laced spinster to strong, loving woman overnight which I found too quick but it was a novella so there wasn’t the time for her character to gradually change. Another easy reading story that fits well into the series

Earl of Davenport by Maggie Dallen

4.5 Stars
Frederick William Belford known as The Devil of Davenport is in need of a bride. Everyone knows the wicked earl is looking to wed, but only his childhood friend, Anne Cleveland, knows his secret. Despite what society believes, he's not a devil, he's no saint either. He's a man. One she hopes will solve all her family's financial woes by marrying her eldest sister Claire, the only sibling not tainted by scandal. Anne visits Frederick & tells him he should marry her eldest sister but he has other ideas & it’s Anne he wants.
Another lovely short story & a worthy addition to the Wicked Earls Club. This is the first book I’ve read from the author & it won’t be the last. Strong characters & a very well paced plot had me reading the novella in a sitting. I loved Frederick a torn hero who because of his childhood hid behind a persona he’d invented. I

Earl of Grayson by Amanda Mariel

Damien Archer, Earl of Grayson and Lady Charlotte Lawson are opposites & they courted a decade ago but he had no intention of marrying so they parted. Now she’s asking him to teach her the ways to seduce a man as she wishes to marry, he agrees to help only to find he finds fault with everyone who shows an interest in her.
A delightful short story & I mean short. I so wish it had been longer & then Damien & Charlottes’ characters could have been given more depth. Whilst the story was engaging & held my interest I no sooner settle to read when I was finished. There were lots of unanswered questions, which if they had been answered would have given the story more depth & length, how on earth did a horse get into the attic, did Charlotte’s fiancé just give her up with no word? So I was left wanting more.

Earl of Benton by Madeline Martin

Alistair Johnstone’s days of running whisky come to an abrupt halt when he inherits an earldom. After years of living in Scotland and denying his English heritage, he now must return despite his mother Madge’s bitter contempt and when her attempt to run whisky goes awry, Alistair is forced to step in and save her by doing one last whisky run. Emma Thorne’s uncle is trying to kill her and so far has failed having killed her maid. There’s only one month until she reaches her majority, inherits her fortune and so will be released from his guardianship, she knows she is not safe. Emma escapes to a nearby estate where she stumbles upon a house party being held by the Wicked Earls’ Club and finds herself at the mercy of the most extraordinary earl.
A lovely read, a long novella that drew me in from the start. The characters were very well portrayed, the story well paced & kept me turning the pages. Emma has low self esteem after her appearance has been ridiculed & it takes Alistair tries to convince her she’s everything he wants in a woman but things don’t go to plan. There are misunderstandings, smuggling, murder & of course romance all packed into this engrossing book..

Earl of Pembroke by Lauren Smith

Gillian Beaumont never had a fairytale life: she was left penniless after her father the Earl of Morrey’s death, forcing her into service as a lady’s maid. Luckily, her mistress Audrey is more adventurous than most ladies and soon Gillian is aiding her espionage. One such spy mission forces Gillian to masquerade as a high-born lady to infiltrate a Hellfire Club. But when she falls into the club’s trap, she’s rescued by gentleman rogue, the Earl of Pembroke. James Fordyce, Earl of Pembroke, tries to be a well-behaved man. A member of the Wicked Earls’ Club, he has his fair share of notoriety, but he’s longing for the day when he might settle down. A chance encounter with a mysterious beauty in a modistes leaves him feeling full of hope. When she vanishes without a trace and danger seems to be following her, he knows he must find her.
Another engrossing long novella from one of my must read authors which lived up to her high standard. I couldn’t put it down & read it in one sitting. The characters as always are so strong. This story as well as being a Wicked Earls book is part of the League of Rogues series & both series are so very very good, I loved the cross over. Gillian has featured in earlier Rogues books & I’d been impatiently waiting for her story & now I can’t wait for Audrey’s story & I hope Letty & Pauls’ stories. I could wax lyrical about the book but just read it to appreciate it

Earl of St. Seville by Christina McKnight

Lady Patience Lane, daughter of the Earl of Desmond and legendary boxer Ivory Bess, grew up learning to fight, not how to mind her manners. Following her mother’s untimely death she’s determined to save other families from the same heartache, by teaching others about the dangers of boxing. Sinclair Chambers, the Earl of St. Seville and known as “Sin” to his cohorts, inherited an insolvent estate. He has to make money, and fast, or his tenants & family will starve. The prize purses from the bare knuckle fighting will go a long way to solving his problems, if he can win them.
Another very good read in the Wicked Earls series & a full length novel. The characters are very well portrayed, Patience is shunned & scorned by most of the ton because of her feelings about fighting & the injuries it can cause but Sin sees her as a beautiful, caring woman. Sin is desperate to help all the people he holds dear. The pair meet & after his first fight Patience insists on being his trainer, the pair are attracted to each other but it takes nearly losing each other for them to realise how they feel. I love the authors books & this was up to her usual standard & a great addition to the series.
I read each of these lovely novellas as they were published & they made for engrossing read every Tuesday over nearly three months, I loved some more than others, I was introduced to new authors but I loved the series & highly recommend it

The Wicked Earls' Club - Books 6 - 11. Until recently I haven't really read box sets. That being said I started reading some of the individual Wicked Earls' Club books. In this box set the five stories that were told all held their own quite nicely! Each written by a different author which makes each story that much different. Each author coming up with the circumstances and events make it enjoyable going from story to story. If you are looking for reading stories that might take an evening or two to read, consider any of the Wicked Earls' Club box sets or any of the individual books. The stories are quite enjoyable to read.

Box set includes 6 novellas (books 6-11) in the Wicked Earl's Club series. You can read these without having read the first 5 in the series, as they each stand alone. These are sweet short stories with each by a different author and about a different Earl from the Wicked Earl’s club. A few of the Earls were tired of the single life and others were not ready to give it up before they found their match and HEA. Some novellas have nothing more than a kiss, and others have a little more steam (but not racy). I enjoyed this boxset, they all kept my interest!

Wicked Earls 2nd. book set

This is my second book set and am very happy to recommend these. Every one is different in so many turn! Like a lady’s maid and an Earl or a lady that bare fist boxes. As I said very interesting.

Great

I found this a really good book. All 6 of these books are all brilliantly written and intermingled with others. They have a variety of different Earl's with various reasons for committing to the last of their dreams.

Wonderful

Overall I think the boxed set was a success. I left individual reviews for each book on that book's page. I have really enjoyed this entire series.

#6 Earl of Weston

This is a prime example of "things happening for a reason" and "it working out for the best, in the end".
Mind you, it really is quite hilarious in places.

#7 Earl of Davenport

The Devil of Davenport couldn't believe she would come to proposition him, but his little hellion from his youth, may have grown into a beautiful woman, but her straight forward manner hadn't changed, neither had her loyalty and emphatic attitude.
You won't guess what his counter offer was!

#8 Earl of Grayson

He had walked away from her over ten years ago, now she wanted his advice on seduction!
You can guess what happens next, but the author's rendition of the story is entertaining.

#9 Earl of Benton

He's half English and half Scottish, and has just inherited a title from his late Grandfather. It's definitely not what his Scottish mother wants, but he has failed to hand the title back, so he's stuck.
She has been in her uncle's guardianship, since her father's death, five years ago. He is becoming increasingly overbearing as far as his demands for her to marry his son.
That is, until she finds her maid, dead, doing an errand she was supposed to do, looking like her, in her cast off clothes. Then, she realizes, it time to run.
What happens next, is drama and romance at it's best.

#10 Earl of Pembroke

After a chance encounter, he was smitten, but she had a secret that would ruin everything. No there could never be more than a passing acquaintance.
Ha! Fate had other ideas, as well as a good friend, who loved to matchmake.

#11 Earl of St Seville

He came with intention of using his fists, to save his island home. He lost at his first attempt, but won a far greater prize, in the long run.

LONELINESS & LOVE, EXCITEMENT

4 STARS for wonderful collection of 6 WC Novellas, by various authors. Exciting characters that you expect to find that are members of the club, their family and the collection of ladies they end up mixed up with. A reader can't go wrong if looking for love, action, lovable characters and the most sexiest handsomest men than pick up to read this. My only complaint is the way the Earl of Coventry was portrayed. In all other reading references of this time portray the Earl of Coventry a mature man than his Wicked Earl's. He is considered very proper Ton, happily married to a wonderful very proper & highly liked Lady. He would have never have had an Earl attacked to check his skills, smirked at one of his Earl's, allowed other WEC members to openly be talking about betting against them. Finally, the Earl of Coventry would have never turned down an old friend he had been in brotherhood with, and turned them away when they were mourning the death of a wife.
Other than these things about the Earl of C, I loved the story of Sin & Patience!
This is definitely worth a read.

Good Read, easy.

Lovely way to fill a boring day, being taken back to a time when men were men, and some strong women shine through, love the fiesty women, although I have to admit that I would prefer not to have lived in the period, l personally could not be a simpering female, but its lovely to just lose myself in these tales. Keep them coming 😌!
