This book was better than the other two in the series. It wasn’t full of misinformation like they were. However, the way it’s written still irked me a bit. I know Catherine Hapka’s writing isn’t always like this. There are some books from her that I absolutely adore. The problem is, it was written exactly how the show was written, and the show made me cringe all the time.
There were parts of the story that were super basic. Friends getting mad at each other when a truth is answered in a way they didn’t want it to be answered. Zoe having to calm Raven down because nobody else can. Relationship drama.
Still, there was one plot-line that I actually really liked, and that was Winnie’s. The way she felt so bad about herself and so left out that she did something incredibly drastic to prove herself felt more real than the other plot-lines.
This book was definitely the most tolerable of the series. It wasn’t too good, but I didn’t want to throw it across the room twice every chapter.
