This book details the erotic travails of a gorgeous harem slave under a nefarious spell that forces her to achieve orgasm with a willing partner a day.
I ASSUME this was not translated because the copyright page had no evidence of such but it could've been since these guys are French Canadian.
Story = **** So much better than you would expect from a book from this series. This is pure erotica without any "porn" about it- a tale complex and interesting with characters rounded and events profound.
Art = **** Other than the unnecessarily huge breasts on every woman, he does well in keeping a non-porny tone to his universe throughout. You can tell that he's got some ways to go in talent but the work here is legit.
Quiero reconocer que las complejidades de las ilustraciones dentro de viñetas siempre es lo que llama mi atención en este tipo de libros, pero, ¿la historia? Bueno, me gustaron las ilustraciones.
This graphic novel has a story in it. Set in the middle east like harems usually are, it has most of the right ingredients. As an erotic graphic novel, the story, art and action both on and off bed are true to the location. The characters are varied, an oppressive sultan who is the owner of the harem, a magi/sorceror of power who binds the harem dwellers (wives and concubines) in a spell to ensure obedience and fealty to the all powerful sultan with rabid ruthlessness in his tastes. There are powerful noblemen of the court who have each an eye on the throne and there is a smattering of power struggles and political intrigue. But the erotica takes center point and puts everything in the backburner. There is ample nudity to ensure that this is only for adults and the spell is pointedly in that direction. reminded me of the 90's TV series Click inspired in turn by Milo Manara's comic book series of the same name about a device that turns on. The story arc in 4 chapters has good guys as well, chivalrous guys who respect women and are willing to help without expecting anything in return or are grateful for what was given to them freely. I felt that the story could have become a little more risque with experimentation on the story front but at just over a 100 pages the art is good and the story arc enjoyable despite having released in the late 1990's. Adults only.
