I've been reading a fan translation online but I'm deciding to count it because well... tonkobon production of this spinoff has been delayed in Japan because of coronavirus, and so the chance it'll get translated officially into English anytime soon just gets slimmer...

But anyway it's 1am and I am screaming with laughter. The characters have always been one of the main pulls of Haikyu and this spinoff is really hitting the spot for anyone who wants to see the rival teams off the court too.

It is CRIMINAL that I haven't read this sooner. Absolute comedic gold. Perhaps not as fun unless you're deeply invested in Haikyuu, but if you're a Haikyuu fan, there are few things better.

Primo volume molto carino per questo spin-off che ci riporta nel mondo di Haikyu. Penso che più avanti compariranno anche i ragazzi del Karasuno, ma adoro lo spazio dedicato alle altre squadre in modo da conoscerne meglio dinamiche e giocatori. Ho trovato alcuni episodi molto divertenti, altri un pochino meno (tipo quello dedicato ai fratelli Miya, sorry).
Bokuto e Akaashi, Kenma e Kuroo, quella buon'anima di Aone (da sempre uno dei miei personaggi preferiti della serie), quei disagiati della Shiratorizawa fino a quei casi umani del Johzenji (Terushima altro mio pupillo), dei gemelli Miya e di Oikawa. C'è spazio per tutti.
Una lettura carina e senza troppi pensieri per tenere a bada la malinconia per la fine della serie originale (sì, è passato tipo un anno, ma io sono ancora in lutto, ok?).
P.s.: stima per Akaashi che, a dispetto della fatica fatta per gestire quell'esaltato di Bokuto, non è ancora finito in terapia!

Serie spin off di Haikyu incentrata sui club avversari del Karasuno, ma anche degli ex corvi.
La struttura è per capitoli autoconclusivi basati su una comicità spesso stralunata.
Divertente e leggero. Non tutti i capitoli sono allo stesso livello, ma nel complesso è godibile.
Ovviamente è pensato per chi già è fan della serie nadre e ne conosce i personaggi.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the Miya twins acting out a heartbreaking scene between the Uesugi twins from Mitsuru Adachi's Touch 😭🤣😭🤣😭

So many wsj references lol. Many Japanese pop culture references. Mostly just a fun read.
