For Rae, things feel more like a black hole than bright sunshine. With her two best friends losing themselves in one another, she feels more alone than ever. Clint's left. Her mother's gone off the deep end. D.J. is louder and more abusive than ever. She doesn't know what to do. She has nowhere to turn. So, she does the only thing she can. The only thing she knows to do. Because she isn't done with Clinton Clarke yet.
And she has a strong feeling he's not really done with her, either.

Lovely! I love how well developed these characters are, how along 3 books there is so much growth in all of them from Clint and Rae and their moms , how their friendships are tested time and time again and they always come together. I just love it!

I’m at a loss. I don’t even know which way is up. I knew it was going to be emotional. I knew it was going to end a certain way...but it still got me. Right in the feelers. This is the third book in the Diamond In the Rough series. It’s been a rocky journey for Rae and Clint to get to where they need to be. I cried at a very intense point. How much hell can one person endure?? Yeah I know they aren’t real people, but they’re real to me, dammit! And that ending?! I had a tear run down my cheek as I read the words aloud. Don’t judge me!! I can honestly say, I’m leaving a piece of my heart with Rae and Clint.
In general, I enjoy these types of stories. However, I became frustrated with this series. First off, I felt that this series was drawn out unnecessarily. And I'm usually one that wants more and more story. And this is only book 3 of 5!!! Second, I think because of this series I kind of hate the word snickered. It was used too much, in my opinion, and sometimes in inappropriate places. Third, I felt there were things that just didn't make sense and which were never explained. Also, in this very book it was said that Rae was a straight A student yet at the very beginning of the next book when she's getting ready to go to college, she is thinking about how she was a mediocre student. Like seriously? So while I did start the next book, I decided not to read anymore of this series. Probably didn't even get through chapter 2 of the next book before deciding to stop. I didn't like where it seemed to be heading. As much as I'd like to know what happens, I can't take it anymore. And skipping to the end just isn't my thing.
Clint is pushing away Rae because he thinks it is what is best. He doesn't want her to deal with the complications of his life even though he misses her everyday. After the blowup with his father, Clint has to deal with the aftereffects and decide what his future will hold. Rae is devastated after Clint ends their relationship. She lost the one person who understood her. She still has to deal with her mother and her mother's toxic boyfriend D.J. at home and her two best friends who are so wrapped up in each other they oftentimes forget what Rae is going through. Rae decides she still wants to help Clint if he will let her. Can Rae convince Clint they are better together than apart and that she is willing to help him and wants to be part of his life?
Okay I see that this isn’t the last book in the series, there’s another one and after the letdown of the second book I just don’t care enough to continue these series.
I’d like to stick with my ending, where Clint and Cecilia start a new life leaving all the other characters to rot. I just can’t continue with this series, I feel more bored reading it than I do scrolling through my phone and that’s just not right.
I thoroughly enjoyed this triple book set, however, one thing completely bugged me. What the heck did a Clint’s dad never get charged for physically abusing his son. I know he was over 18, but come on!!! Apart from that, loved the story, thought the characters were great.
The first two were mediocre at best....I dont know if I would have even continued with the series had I not bought it as a set.... this book series is so repetitive that everything that happened that was of any importance could have happened in 1 book...this was so close to a DNF ....book 3 took me weeks to finish and I'm a fast reader but I couldn't stand reading it.....but wait....theres a 4th book....do I give up and stop reading here? do I suffer through it like I did book 3? I just don't know
It was really...REALLY hard for me to finish this book. The overall story was great. I've been hooked on this series and I was so looking forward to reading it. But how many times can one say "snickers". Every page someone snickered and it was more than annoying. That alone really killed the story for me. I needed to finish this series to get my closure. And I'm glad that I did. But be warned....snickers will pop-out when you are reading.
Such a rollercoaster of a book - the ups and the downs completely worth it, Rae and Clint are so good together. Allison and Michael deserve each other and they're great friends to Rae and Clint.
I love how you get to see more of their families in this book - the good and the bad.
I was happy with the ending to be honest I thought it was going to be another cliffhanger or rollercoaster moment but it was good.
wow part 3 ! these books just keep getting better and better , im now on to the last book . I know I still have the 1.5 novella to read but a found ut about that one a little too late , cant wait to dig in to book 4 right now
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!! Despite how it started with them being broken up and the tragedy that is Clint’s father and Rae’s Mom’s ex-boyfriend, I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Rae and Clint finally got back together and said I Love You to each other and...THAT ENDING...TEARS!!!! LITERAL WATERFALLS!!!!!
I got bored at the end because I expected something else to happen with Clint and those other boys but it never did. I only finished because I started it and hated to randomly stop reading half way through. I thought his crazy dad might do something extreme at the end also....
I really like the story but the continuity issues drive me insane with this book as well as the others in the series. Why are they shopping for prom and graduation dresses when supposedly it hasn’t even been Halloween yet???
A stunning conclusion to the trilogy. Floved it! I liked that Cecelia and Clint became as close as they could be. When Clint called her "Ma," I just melted. Glad Clint and Rae had little to no drama towards the end of the book. They'd been through so much so the third book's ending seemed perfect.
I hope Cecilia bleeds his dad dry. How Clint has turned out the way he is with a dad like that I don’t know. I love the growing mother/son relationship between Cecilia and Clint.
Clint and Rae have more obstacles thrown at them to get past both with their home lives and how to move forward after the manage to get their senior year finished
His words were what broke her heart. His following actions were what devestated her whole being.
To save her he had to let her go. Give her a future free of his troubles.
Life is bleak, and cruel but the black cloud that follows them both seems endless...
Wow, wow, wowsers!! This is sadly the final book in this trilogy, and is a direct continuation of "Promise me".
My heart bled for Clinton and Rae their lives fraught with danger and violence. Parental love a thing of dreams.
So strong are they together, they hold each other up and that's an amazing feat considering all they have been through.
So as they fell apart I was literally screaming at my phone "Don't do it!!"
I felt so angry at the lives thrust upon them when they both deserved so much more. Their pain became my own!
I was completely hooked on this finale. I forgot the real world and time completely escaped as I let their world swallow me whole.
Rae fought like a trooper, to both brave the world without him and to control her own frustrations. Her weak moments almost brought me to my knees.
Clinton tries to protect everyone from the devil he knows that desires control at his own cost.
His broken and battered body brought tears to my eyes.
All he wanted was escape, all she wanted was freedom from the repetition. It's not much to ask and I for one was praying with all my might that they got the golden ticket to such a life.
An utterly fantastic mesmerising read that will render you speechless!
Rebel Hart is one to watch, she gets better with every book of hers that I read!
When I received Stay With Me! I jumped up and down knowing I'd be able to read about Clint and Rae's stories again. It was heartbreaking to hear the aftermath of Clint breaking up with Rae. But, when getting to hear Clint's side of why he did was just heartwarming. Seeing how his life changed dramatically after he and his dad got into a fight. As well as the relationship that continued to blossom between Clint and his stepmom. It seemed unfamiliar to see them together because we really did get a lot of content of them together. But, I'm glad to see that Clint finally found peace and at home with his new life that he was developing with his stepmom. I think we even got more Clint chapters that Rae I'm not sure but I absolutely loved it. Seeing Rae side of the breakup was also hard to because she was trying to be so tough. But, at the end of the day when she returned home and having to deal with DJ and her mom you can tell it was all just becoming too much. So it was so great seeing Rae and Clint get back together. Seeing Rae mom actually be her mom in this book was great because I felt like Rae in past books just wanted her mom there and she wasn't. Seeing them battle their own battles together but separately was great. I would love to see their story one more time to see where they end up after high school!

What a beautiful emotional story this was. We got taken on a journey of love and heartache and this author definitely knows how to make you feel the feelings of her characters. It was heartbreaking to see the relationship between the two main characters go to the way that it did but also it allowed us to grow with the characters in realize that certain things had to happen certain ways for it to end the way it did. The relationship between Rae and her mom was truly one that I was happy to see changed. Then you have Clint and his stepmothers relationship grow into something much more loving then it was and how she stands by him as well. It was definitely an emotional rollercoaster of ups and downs one that will truly stay with me as a book that I enjoyed and loved very much. The title to this book definitely serves its purpose it will stay with me like I said. In the end I couldn't be more happy with the way things turned out and the way that these characters grow and came closer loving each other. Rebel Hart definitely has a way with words and I can't wait to see what is next for us.
This series has got through lots twists and turns. Some bits are damn right dark, with many triggering issues. The characters of Rae and Clinton are inspiring with the things they come through together and apart. They have beautifully written support character that bring light and darkness to story. This is lovely love story written by Rebel Hart and so glad there is going to be 4th book to series.
The storyline to this book is definitely letting us get a background view to the love they share and the support they have. It also outlines their obvious differences leaving you thinking will they survive all that’s trying to pull them apart. The cliffhanger to book has got me on the edge of my seat. I say Bring on ‘Stay with me’ *I love Rae and Clinton its the same but different as all high school bully romances so far. There are many elements to this story that have me wondering were will Rebel Hart take these characters. I am Enthralled with their journey because they have got a lot going against them. So I am looking forward to the next book in series ‘Promise Me’ after an amazing cliffhanger.
>Book Review – Stay with Me >I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 3rd in the Diamond in the Rough series and ends in an HEA. This book starts up right where book 2 ended, with Clint breaking up with Rae. The aftermath of the breakup is hard on both of them. Clint is dealing with so much, so he pushes Rae away so he can deal with his father’s abuse, his homelessness and his step mother. I actually was a bit creeped out by how often Clint was hugging his step mom. I almost thought the story would travel in a disturbing direction, but was glad it didn’t. >Rae never gives up on Clint, but it seems that once again everyone gives up on Rae. Her mom, her friends are all self-involved, leaving Rae to deal with her life and her issues alone. No one really puts Rae first. Clint eventually realizes how much Rae was dealing with on her own. I hated how the teachers were portrayed as uncaring as they knew about Clint’s abuse, but did nothing to help him. >This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. There are still some serious issues, but Clint and Rae are finally solid.
