No. I'm sorry, l but I really have a hard time reading stories where everyone and their great uncle is an asshole. It's really hard to root for Donald in the Duck Avenger narratives. I was left feeling bad for Gladstone. Gladstone.

After the first story by Martina and Carpi also the second adventure of the original Duck Avenger has been finally translate in English. In this story, created in Italy during the early 70s by Martina and Scarpa, Duck Avenger fits well with the personality of Donald Duck and he is not yet the boring and exagerate "super" hero (Duck Avenger/Donal Duck does not have any kind of super power!) he has been transformed several years later, but he is a real "dark Avenger" heir of the gentleman thief Fantomallard!
This early and original Duck Avenger and his "modus operandi" take reference to the "noir" characters of the classical litterature like Fantomas, Arsenè Lupin, Roccambolè as well as the masked avenger Zorro and the italian comics anti-hero Diabolik.
