This is probably the most interesting book I've read so far, the writing so the book is amazing and can be easily understood. If you are a first-time reader then I would recommend this book.

This book is about a boy Sam who did not want a career what his father chooses for him. Sam was different from the rest of his friends, he didn't want to handle his dad's business like most of his friends.
He wanted to get out and understand and find himself better. He used to read books and from there he wanted to be a lightkeeper, and in the way of finding himself, he became lightkeepers.

After a bit of hesitation, his dad allowed him to work as a lightkeeper at the Black Eagle Lighthouse and there Sam met Armand who worked there before Sam.

Sam had a lot of trouble in learning a new job But Armand was a source of inspiration for Sam. Sam not only learned work there but also learned some very important life lessons like how to conquer fears, how to fulfill dreams, and how to get on the path of dreams, to come ahead and how to deal with problems.

Honestly, this book is beyond any appreciation. I feel very motivated to do hard work for my dreams after reading this book. This book has fueled me to start my race towards my dreams. There are too many things one can learn from a story. It's all about following your dream and about taking the risk of following your dreams, which is so difficult to do and there are very few people in this world who do, I mean risk it all, just to follow your heart and your dream.

Such is the power of this book that you will want to read it again and again.

The Lighthouse Keeper: A Story of Mind Mastery is the first Semi Fictional novel where reputation had reached me even before I finished reading it. David Richards has indeed made his work realistic and powerful, for readers who cannot disregard that the material will make us realise our own potential.

The story revolves around Sam who is the main protagonist. Sam is basically an adventure-loving guy who is currently living with his father and helping him out on his chicken farm. With an urge to live an adventurous life, Sam gets to choose a job on his own which is to be an apprentice to a lighthouse keeper Armand. Sam’s job at the lighthouse is not as easy as it could have appeared and his mentor Armad is a man of solitude with whom it was too hard to get along at the beginning. The story took good turns and focused more on the new adventures that he encountered at the black eagle island.

The story was set at an exciting premise and each chapter uncovered different kinds of events. I loved the part of the book where each chapter ends up with an entry to the journal about the reflections on the various events that took place in that chapter. David has focused the entire story on a transformation of an ambitious boy turning into a bold and brave man.

What made this book special is its ability to resonate with readers on a deeply personal level. The story is blended with courage, faith, and the power of listening to one's heart. I am happy that I chose to read this book and I would highly recommend it to all fiction overs. The book at the end was so motivating and I would rate it with 5 out of 5 stars.

When I come across this title, I thought it would be something horror or mystery kind of read but when I started reading this it was more about life and dreams.

The story revolves around Sam, a young kid who doesn't want a career chosen by his father for him. He wants to go out and find himself and the way to do so is to become a lightkeeper. He meets the old lighthouse keeper, Armand and he became his solace and guide through this adventure. The life of a lighthouse keeper promises responsibility. Adventure. He will find adventure, the likes of which he could never have imagined. The journey that unfolds before him promises to change his life...if he can only survive.
.
👉The book is one of a kind and is beautifully written with inspiring and motivating instances.
👉The language used is easy to understand and the narration lucid and intriguing.
👉 All the journal entries written by the protagonist are so well written and informative. Some of my favourite lines from it would be-
🌻We can put our energy towards things we can control, or lose it by focusing on the things we can’t control.
🌻There is no perfect time to get started. Perfection is the enemy of progress and will defeat us before we even start.
👉Overall, a nice read.

Sam a young man has a dream. Dream to become a lighthouse keeper. He rejects the profession his father has chosen and embarks on a journey to towards his goal. But this simple journey ends up into a life threating event. But again it brings to him life long learning experience  amidst the vast scape of ocean when he meets a person full of charishma. A man who was previously a keeper but again had loads of lessons to impart to Sam.

The description of the backdrop specially when they observed the beauty hidden in the destructive sea was flawlessly presented with the smooth narration by the author.

Each chapter has something that proves to be thought provoking.  It's like diving into an ocean full of different perspectives towards various aspects of life. The thoughts presented let us flow beyond the shallowness into almost a spiritual realm making it a thoughtful read.

Sam's story is all about being brave, curious and mind mastery. It is about introspection in a self transformation journey. It is not only adventurous but a thoughtful read.

THE LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER is a true inspiration. And I am reminded of what Sam felt when he was shoved off the lighthouse: “Now he was on the water, ostensibly his mind, rowing back to himself. With his mind his only passenger.”

Think about the purpose of the lighthouse – to look out for ships that might be in trouble. “It was a novelty Sam had never considered, turning off the light to see better, but it made sense.” Go figure.

Our mind is a complex thing. It’s enriched with various thoughts and questions. Our striving mind loves to explore, it thrives that hunger to learn more and more. This book is completely a story of mind mastery. This story taught me to believe in my passion and rev it up with new ideas. It taught me not to just slouch in the corner and be pragmatic about my life. So, truly speaking this book is something good.

The story highlights a young kid named Sam (typical male name, isn’t it?) who wants to do something out of the box instead of continuing his father’s legacy like most of his friends. His father is a good man and thoroughly practical, he owns a chicken farm. Sam tries to insist on his father about his dream of doing something new which he understands after a lot of effort. He sends him to a nearby Lighthouse. There Sam meets Armand (pretty new name), the former lighthouse keeper. He teaches Sam various new things and promises him some of the ravenous adventures. He guides and motivates him to pursue what he's doing.

The writing style was amazing and the journal-type of writing gave a nice impression overall. At some points, it felt like the actions and things were over-shown but it felt good at the end. It gave me a new direction to think about it and I’m glad. So, what are you waiting for? Learn to control your mind with this book. And just look at the cover 😍😍
Happy reading!

Book Name: The Lighthouse Keeper

Genre: Fiction

Summary: Sam knows how the life he's currently living ends. It isn't the life, or the ending, he wants. He makes a choice to try his hand as a lighthouse keeper's apprentice. The life of a lighthouse keeper promises responsibility. Adventure. He will find adventure, the likes of which he could never have imagined. The journey that unfolds before him promises to change his life...if he can only survive.

My Opinion: I am so glad I read it, the book follows an amazing story and life of Sam who is someone who have many dreams, he is someone who believes in them and wishes to own a lighthouse. I was instantly hooked by the storyline and the way it is narrated. It's a book that is very easy to understand and also it's meant for kind of readers, I actually completed it on the next day I started as I was so much intrigued by Sam's story. At a point, I was actually relating my own life story with Sam's story, so I believe it will be quite relatable to many young readers. In a nutshell, it was totally a worthy as well as an important read.

Good and Bad: This book teaches so many lessons to the readers and that is the best thing about it. Without actually saying things the author through his story, he brings out so many things naturally, so I really likes that, the way he potentially played around the storyline and character, I truly liked it.

My favorites from the book:

Sam this is my favourite character but I also love the bonds in the story, the value bond that we share with our parents is portrayed so nicely. Owning a lighthouse, might not be easy for Sam but find out if he can own one?

Target Audience: Young readers will really connect and enjoy it

What to expect: Fun, delight and a lot of teachings from the story that will come out naturally.

Final verdict: In a nutshell I really really loved Sam's story and I feel it is a book that really brings in hope and dreams. I will suggest this book for everyone.

The Lighthouse Keeper

If you are looking for a self help read with adventure then this book will be a good pick! I think most of us would have read 'The Alchemist' the story of a boy who to pursue his dream and in search of a treasure sets himself on a journey which made him mystic and realise what's actual treasure. In the same line, comes this book which holds much power in just 130 pages.

This book gave me 'The Alchemist' vibes. This is story of Sam who lives with his father and runs the biggest poultry farm of the country. But he wanted to escape from the mundane life he was accustomed to, he wanted a life beyond hens, he wanted to pursue his dreams .With his wish to gain responsibilities, and to become a beacon to people, he decided to join apprenticeship at Black Eagle Lighthouse where Armand was the light house keeper. As he entered the lighthouse, he entered new dimensions of spiritual and philosophical values. His apprenticeship at lighthouse enlightened his life with rays of positivity , wisdom; removed darkness of distractions, fears and past burdens. As the book progresses, we alongwith the protagonist delve deeper into understanding towards our mind and thus ourselves. In a quest of self discovery, choosing to follow heart, led his conscious mind awaken and thus transformed him.
.
This book is divided into three parts --
KEEPER OF THE LIGHT
THE STORMS WITHIN
SAILING INTO A DREAM
each one as enthralling as its title. And there are journal entries at the end of each chapter which provides a crisp summary or crux which is extract of the chapter.
Author's writing style is really appreciable. He has given evocative description of the poultry farm, lighthouse, the ocean and wave Sam's feelings and emotions for his mother and obviously the instruments to master our mind. With simple language and easy words and a fictional story this book can suit you even if you find self help books heavy to digest.Characters are well built and portrayed.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

It’s been a long time I have been into self help book but this book offers something very unique and new. Starting with the title and the cover of the book. The title is perfectly relevant but I personally felt that there could have been more creativity used to design the cover of the book as the look is the first thing that anyone judges from also the story being unique I feel author has done a great job so somewhere I felt that may be because of the book the story will remain a bit unsurfaced.
The title “The Light Keeper” is a perfectly relevant one. The plot is about the Sam who lost his mother when he was in school and his father owns a chicken farm. He his a very ambitious boy and want to own Lighthouse. So, he starts working for his dream but while working he realises that it’s not simple as he thought. This is exactly where I felt the book changed its genre. This is exactly what we face in our life especially our generation where we all want to become something and this has been glued in our minds that when you follow your passion the work doesn’t seem to be as work for you but it doesn’t work that way. I personally had this problem that I started something but then quit just because I felt this is not what I had in mind. I learnt a great lesson from the book. The story and the lesson you are going to learn through the story of Sam is worth giving your time. I would like to appreciate the author here as for an amazing and unique story line. The story really inspires one to keep following his dreams. I also felt while reading that Author has put in some of his personal experience in the name of Sam through the story.
The language and the words in the books are very basic and I feel that it is a very easy and inspiring read. I would definitely recommend it to all the readers out there. At last I would like to thank author for the lesson and for giving me such an experience through the book.

✨The book follows an amazing story and life of Sam, the protogonist who has many dreams and wishes to own a lighthouse.
He full of positivity and curiosity and is very brave.

✨The book is divided into 3 parts and 10 chapters.
Part 1- Keeper Of The Light
Part 2- The Storms Within
Part 3- Sailing Into A Dream

✨Sam's father was a Chicken farmer and he expected Sam to continue his family business as they were having stable income from it. But Sam has different aspirations. He left home to be an apprentice to the lighthouse Keeper. At the lighthouse, Sam was given different tasks that helped in shaping his personality. During his learning, he learnt how to master his own mind.

✨The story really inspires one to keep chasing the dreams. I also felt that Author has put in some of his personal experience in the name of Sam through the story. This book provided some simple but powerful strategies for navigating life experiences.

✨This tale is full of adventures, ups and downs and lots of emotions.

✨As the story progresses, Sam will meet Armand, who will act as a mentor to him and help him teach his work. Armand trains him on the responsibilities of a lighthouse keeper.

✨I personally loved the tone the Author have used for different character specially for Armand .

Sometimes we don't have any idea about what this book stores for you and for me this book comes as a real surprise which just keeps me hooked till the end.
This book is not just a story of a lighthouse keeper but it is like a self-help guide which helps you to control  so many emotions within yourself.
This book shows us a direction towards our dreams and gives us a hope to chase our dreams.
This story is about Sam who wants to become a lighthouse keeper. He lives with his father who owns a chicken farm but he doesn't want to join his business so he moved to Black Eagle Lighthouse at the sea coast and his journey to become a lighthouse keeper is started. At black eagle he met Armand, an old age lighthouse keeper who helped him to understand his job and tell him a lot about how to clear his mind and thought process. Their talks are like a learning process for me.The Book is divided into three parts based on his aspirations and conflicts between his mind and dream so it becomes easy to understand the story.
There are very small- small details which I liked very much like Sam loves to read books or how he made a journal entry of everything.

The way the author portrayed the relationship of father-son or between his mother and Sam is just awesome. I just love all the scenes in which he thought about his mother .
There are very few characters but all are brilliantly presented by the author . All are important in their own way and I liked all of them . Language is also very easy and lucid so anyone can read it within 2-3 days. This is such an amazing and inspirational read for me so recommend it to everyone.

Before starting it, I assumed it's a horror novel but after completing it I realized its more enjoyable as well as relatable than any horror novel. The storyline revolves a normal boy, Sam, he knows how the life he's currently living ends. It isn't the life, or the ending, he wants. He makes a choice to try his hand as a lighthouse keeper's apprentice. The life of a lighthouse keeper promises responsibility. Adventure. He will find adventure, the likes of which he could never have imagined. The journey that unfolds before him promises to change his life...if he can only survive.
.
.
This is a very short book comprising of ten short chapters, it's a wonderful short read which provides comfort to all its readers. Sam is a character I could relate with on a personal level. Sam is you and me, he is ambitious, he is enjoying life, he has dreams and he loves to draw and explore. His father owns a small farm, Sam spents his time mostly discovering and wandering. He loves to play games, but what's the main purpose of the story, you might be wondering!
.
.
The purpose of the book is much more than it seems, it's such an inspiring and engaging read because of it's simple characters and it potrays many aspects of living from Sam's perspective. His life isn't as easy as it seems. The journey of reading it is so soothing and peaceful because you are going to learn my life lessons from the story. It's a book that's easy, short as well as remarkable.
.
I truly liked it and I am looking forward to read more such books by the author. It's definitely recommended.

💥The Lighthouse Keeper: A Story of Mind Mastery is a story or rather an experience about Sam who is a very ambitious boy and want to own Lighthouse. So, he starts working towards his dream but which is not as simple to gain as he thinks it would be so he makes a choice to try his hand as a lighthouse keeper's apprentice. The life of a lighthouse keeper promises responsibility.

💥What kind of adventures he encounters in becoming a lighthouse keeper ?
Was the decision in his favour of becoming a lighthouse keeper or should he be just working with his father at the chicken farm?

💥The story really inspires one to keep following his dreams. I also felt while reading that Author has put in some of his personal experience in the name of Sam through the story. The writing is quite lucid and the words in the books are very well expressed and. I would definitely recommend it to all the readers as it’s a motivating and an inspiring story. The story comes with a message which is very important for today’s generation with high aspirations. Not that I am against it but still aiming fo the sky is not bad but gaining it is difficult.

💥I m so impressed with the story, after a long time I have read something motivating and inspiring, this pandemic time is really tough and so many people are dealing with some or the other thing, even I myself got distracted with my studies and my dreams, this story helped me to get back on track.
I am glad, I came across this book.

Book's Name - The lighthouse keeper
Author Name - David Richard
Rating - 4.7/5 💫

David Richards' The Lighthouse Keeper is a story of mind control. It's just about a man's desire to achieve his goals.

His hardships, as well as his unwavering passion that persists in the face of adversity, make for an engrossing read.

This inspiring story introduces us to Sam, the protagonist, who, despite his father's wishes for him to join the family company, decides to follow his heart. It wasn't convenient for Sam to get there. He had to encounter many obstacles, and there were occasions when he felt like giving up, but his perseverance and dedication motivated him, as did his mentor, Armond, who played an important role in his journey. He taught him how to cope with and conquer challenges in life. How Sam's life changes for the better sheds light on our own lives as readers and encourages us to resolve our obstacles.

You won't feel as if you're reading a book; instead, you'll be living every moment alongside Sam, as if it were happening to you. I had the impression that the author had incorporated stories from his own life in many ways, giving it an autobiographical feel. Another aspect that makes this mystery novel more beautiful is the smooth writing style with a poetical touch.

Highly suggested for those searching for an encouraging read to help them keep their dreams alive! This is the optimal option for you.👍🏻

"This story no longer serves me. I need to write a better story and then let it go. If I keep telling myself this story, continue to live in the past, how can I focus any energy on the present, or build a good future?"

Sam, son of the biggest poultry farm owner of his country, but had his own dreams rather than continuing the family line. He aims to become a lighthouse keeper, much to his father’s disappointment, and joins the Black Eagle lighthouse, as an apprentice under Armand. What follows ahead is a spiritual and philosophical journey of self realization.

If you categorize it as a fiction, then you are wrong. I felt it more as a self help book - a self help book set in the backdrop of fiction. Hence you can choose it without any hesitation, no matter whether you are a fiction or non-fiction lover.

Though the book revolves around the inner conflicts of Sam, we too can join him in the quest to find ourselves. You can either learn these lessons along with the protagonist in a fictional manner, or you can seek the help of the journal entries given at the end of each chapter, if you are in for point wise explanations.

The language and narration is simple yet good. Especially, the depiction of backgrounds, be it the lighthouse, poultry farm or the vast ocean, deserves special mention.

Join the adventurous journey of Sam, if you are in need of a self transformation as well.

This story revolves around a boy who's name is sam and who wants to choose a career of his own choice not of his father choice.

As from this u can go through that this is happening everywhere in ou life our father wants us to to do that job or work of their own choice.

But nowdays in modern time many parents now understood that we want to perform work of our own choice because when we will do that our mind, our body everything we will do that will be of our 100 % contribution we will do that with our own heart we will do that with our heart.

This book will be a type of healing Medicine for all of us . It will motivate us to perform or do or join any firm, association etc which we want to do. It will be am adventurous story for of us that we should fought for us.

As like sam he joined a light house keeper's job. Thia job is of very much responsibility, adventures etc. He used to follow armand as his disciple .

A special scene was the hidden beauty of a destructive sea . Postive energy comes out when we do our work of our own choice.

Composition of the story was extravagant and the narration of the story was very good. It was simple with good flaw. Everything was great. Narration was that much good that while i was reading i was imagining or was able to visualize the situation or the story.

I really enjoyed author's thought .it was really engaging read. Language was quite easy. I recommend this book to all my friends.

“Live the Life of Your Dreams: Be brave enough to live the life of your dreams according to your vision and purpose instead of the expectations and opinions of others”. The lines can be considered as a valid aid for surmising the overall theme of the book that is the centre of attention today. Delving further into the same, the storyline is majorly concerned with the character Sam who can be perceived to have a perfect life in all the aspects of life. As we progress further with the book, it is the wish of the father of Sam who has the biggest poultry farm in the country and wants Sam pursue his life on similar lines, however the same is not reciprocated by Sam as for him the interpretation of the term life demands pursuing his own dreams and in search of the same he ventures on to join as an apprentice under Armand who owns the Black Eagle lighthouse and from there he gets to form his own precepts of life following his own spiritual and philosophical journey
It is worth noting that the book can be categorized under the head of Self Help however when the usage of the storyline comes in the form of something that is fairly relatable to everyone and is laced with valid aspects of reality and when the progression of the plot is nothing short of perfect, then it can be safely considered as a must read for everyone.

Talking about the author, David is a multi talented personnel indulged in business, life coach, yoga instructor, and speaker on self-development. He is from US and has also spend a part of his life in Japan. He works with individuals and organizations conducting training through private coaching engagements, speaking events, and workshops.
Coming to the book, THE LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER is one of the best books I have ever read. The special character in the book is Sam. Sam is an innovative character that is well described by the author, and he is not interested in the career that is chosen by his dad for him.
Sam is passionate towards reading, has a special skill of writing and has a wish to become a lightkeeper. With the hope to fulfill his dream, he leaves his father’s farm and comes across another character named Armand who eventually becomes his mentor.
The story revolves around the hardships and struggles Sam has to face to fulfill his dream and has life lessons from Armand. The story is well written and both fictional plus nonfictional people can enjoy reading it. The characters are well mentioned.
No doubt the book motivates you to this over your choices and helps you to break the fear of loosening the ties. A great inspirational and motivating read and I would recommend it to the potential readers.

Sam, a son of chicken farmer want to be an apprentice of Lighthouse Keeper. He lost his mother during his schooling. It was just his father and him now. Dreaming about the better life, Sam embarked on the journey to become an apprentice to lighthouse Keeper so he can learn many things there. The Black Eagle Lighthouse is his destination. Once he is at Lighthouse, he met Armand's(the lighthouse Keeper). Armand talked to Sam about life and how the events that happen in one's life are not random.

Whatever happens in a person's life was intended to happen with him. Whatever the work was given to Sam was actually helping him in mastering his mind. I would recommend readers to pick this book if you want to learn about lighthouse and the power to master your mind.....Sam was a kid without mother. He has kept his mother's photo on the book that he read at the lighthouse. I felt heart-touching when Sam missed his mother..This book was totally worth my time. I could relate to Sam much. I felt proud of Sam when he took the decision to leave home to give a try to his dreams. Most of us couldn't even take this step, fulfilling dreams is too far for us. A well imagined story that everyone should read at least once. Sam's character is perfectly written by the author.

Sam runs the largest poultry farm of the country along with his father. He feels his life is getting predictable and there is nothing new to explore in his current job. His boring life takes a toll on him. So he decides to seek adventure and becomes an apprentice under a lighthouse keeper.

Author has choosen a fictional to instigate people for trying out new things and finding their passion which is really commendable. This makes the book interesting and different from other self-help books.

All the events happening in Sam's life represent a dilemma or roadblock we face in our daily lives. Author tries to tell through Sam's story that we should try to break free if we are not happy with our current lifestyle.

The purpose of the story is to encourage readers to be brave enough to take tough decisions no matter how uncertain they are.

Language is very simple with no heavy English words that would require you to look for dictionary. Narration is lucid. Story transitions from one moment to another is smooth. It is a short read and has a rather quick pace as compared to other self-help books.

If you like reading books similar to Alchemist, you can pick this one. It has a light-hearted story with some heavy messages.

The portrayal of the experiences are exquisite.

'The mind is a tool, it is not meant to be where you live.' - The Lighthouse Keeper
This is a story of a man named Sam and his enthuastic search for his passion. His father owned a chicken farm that was quite famous in the country. They made a comfortable living out of it and Sam knew his father would tell him to take up his business. Sam had a few friends and most of them ended up in their family businesses. But, Sam's yearning was different. He used to read novels and from there he got inspired and wished to become a lighthouse keeper. His father at first hesitant agreed later and sent Sam to get a job in their nearby Black Eagle Lighthouse as a keeper. There he met Armand, his former lighthouse keeper who not mentored him on how to execute his job. Armand was not only guided Sam but he was also a source of motivation and inspiration for Sam. What happens after that? To know, go and grab this beautiful book.

The story reminded me of 'The Alchemist'. The portrayal of the experiences and the natural surrounding are noteworthy. Written in a graceful style, the characters are well delineated and the narrative is smooth and beautiful. All in one, It's a perfect read for those who wants some inspiration in life.

The Lighthouse Keeper is a book written by the writer David Richards that blends fiction and self-help. This book is a tale of Mind Supremacy, as indicated by the title itself.

⭐The primary character is Sam. As they had healthy earnings, Sam's father wanted Sam to continue with his family business. His father was a farmer who made chicken. Sam's standards are different, though. As a lighthouse apprentice keeper, he left home. To further grow his personality, Sam was given several assignments at the lighthouse. Through his study, he learned how to manage his own mind.

⭐Characters are well formed, and I really liked Armand, who really infixed various qualities in Sam that help Sam along his journey. The storey is also gripping, keeping its readers hooked throughout.

⭐The title of the book, according to the tale, is perfect. The book cover is also perfectly rendered in line with this book's storyline.

⭐The vocabulary and the words in the books are very plain, and I feel that reading is very simple and inspiring. To all the readers out there, I would certainly recommend it. Finally, for the lesson and for giving me such an experience through the book, I want to thank the author.

Sam is such an inspiring character right from the beginning. The loss of his mother has made him stronger and determined towards an ambitious goal of owning a Lighthouse.

Not being limited to the family business where his father owns a poultry farm he ventures into the unknown journey of his dreams where he meets Armand a Lighthouse keeper.

For me this ambition of Sam itself was something new & refreshing to read as a reader. The story is intriguing and mystifying. I think any layman would empathise & be part of this emotional whirlwind of Sam.
The book is divided into three chapter or I would rather say phases as mentioned below which was so apt for the narrative and in-line with Sam's progression towards his dreams and who he becomes as a person.
1. Keeper of the Light
2. The storms within
3. Sailing into a dream

The end is so satisfying, an amalgamation of Fiction & Self-help. The author has weaved this story in such an engaging manner that is endearing & enlightening to read it.

There is so much to learn & I would recommend this book to anyone & everyone.
