This is such a cute book series to read with your kiddos. My son (5) has been having a blast reading these with me! He can’t wait to continue the story and find out what happens with the baddest good guys around.
4.5 stars 🌟Besides some “dumbs” and “stupids,” this series is pretty perfect and hilarious. My daughter and I both laughed out loud reading it - multiple times - and since she got this set last Thursday, we’ve read it through twice. 😳
I read the first book last year and I loved it. I don't know what happened between then and now but I started to think that the depiction of the piranha could be racist but I can't be sure because I don't know anyone (or any fish) from Bolivia. Do Bolivians say "chicas" and "hermanos" a lot? The storyline is also nothing new. Anyway, as a children's book I still like it and I give an extra star because it still made me chuckle at times
I've commited the biggest reader sin by watching the movie before the reading the book, but nonetheless it was a fun, short and sweet comic, I will definetly keep an eye out for the rest of the series.
I bought the collection because I wanted to read the books before the movie comes out. I loved it from the beginning! It's funny and the characters are intresting. I like the art style also.
