Ember Marx lives a pretty boring existence. She lives and works at the cabin rental agency that her mom owns and spends most days cleaning cabins or checking guests in. She dreams of getting out and seeing more of the world than just this small town where nothing ever happens but that would mean finding a way to free herself from her mother’s tight clutches. Good read. I thought it was a cute story. No drama other than her mom. Safety gang: She was attacked when she was younger by her mother's boyfriend, but it wasn't descriptive and it was interrupted.

Il libro è brevissimo, tutto è estremamente veloce, la trama, i dialoghi, i pochi sviluppi. È davvero difficile entrare nella storia per cui la lettura mi è risultata frustrante: non vengono approfonditi né i personaggi né le loro emozioni, lasciando solo una sensazione di incompletezza. Non c'è il tempo necessario per coinvolgere davvero il lettore, per cui anche i dialoghi e molti passaggi narrativi sono stati imbarazzanti piuttosto che intrattenenti.
Nonostante la difficoltà nell'apprezzare il formato specifico, anche le scelte linguistiche e stilistiche non sono state assolutamente nelle mie corde.

I enjoyed this spicy little treat immensely. Ember’s lonely life became so much more when she meets Weston. They have an instant attraction that leads to a beautiful connection with undeniable chemistry. The only thing I didn’t like about this book is that it ended. Great story!

Love Is...
I really enjoyed reading this story. It was well written and the storyline flowed even tho there were some parts that were, to some, would be a sensitive topic, but it was handled gracefully. I enjoyed the zing of lust at first sight, and how it never dimmed. I enjoyed his emotional support of her, believing in her so she could believe in herself. In the end, it was love that won, with a sweet, loving, perfect for them ending.

Ember Marx works with her mom running a cabin rental agency in the small mountain town of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. But most of her life Ember's mother has belittled her and called her horrible names.
Weston Xavier is in Pigeon Forge to see about possibly financing a new hotel in town. Meeting the sweet Ember Marx was turning out to be far more exciting than the hotel. But seeing the relationship between Ember and her mother breaks his heart.
This book had very little plot. Ember is only nineteen and has had an emotionally abusive life, yet we get the impression Weston must be close to forty since he seems to be extremely wealthy - but we never learn much at all about him otherwise.

She works hard though, doing most of what needs to be done while her mother lazes about and insults her. Then Weston shows up. He's everything she's ever wanted, and the bonus is that he wants to take her away with him.
Commentary: Her mother was awful! I wish there was a better explanation for her behavior, but I guess some people are just horrible human beings. Weston was great because not only did he stand up for her, he stood at her side and gave her the courage to stand up for herself. I think leaving was the only choice for them, and she absolutely deserved to get out into the world with a man who loved her.
