Investigating the Rogue Android Killer . . .
Ocean is living with Zoey and Noah now. Ocean had helped take down a 45-year-old man who was intending to kill his wife and children. The wife was wounded, but Ocean, a sharpshooter, was able to shoot the man with his sniper rifle. He was a hero.
Zoey felt more and more like there was some kind of humanity about Ocean now. After the three of them watched the rain coming down, Noah got ready to leave on his date. Shortly after that, she and Ocean got ready to go out as well. They had recently started to date, although no one else knew. Some people still had no tolerance for androids and she didn’t want to risk any violence. The auto-car drove them near the waterfront. They walked along the dockyards among other people. Then they took an elevator up to a Club called The Inferno. She was about to kiss him when he tightened up and looked behind her. There was a dun-haired android in a shirt and tie, black pants, looking like service staff and he should not have been out here. Whatever the android was doing, people were dropping and blood sprayed everywhere.
Ocean took his own weapon to shoot the android shooter and eventually the android fell to the floor. But it tried to get up and Ocean wrestled with it to keep it from grabbing the weapon again. He told Zoey to go home before someone discovered her there. A place like this could ruin her reputation. And he would contact 3-Ocean who works for the FBI to begin investigating. But the damage has been done to humans and androids alike, people dead all around them. And what upsets her the most, there has never been an android shooter in the history of artificial intelligence. Their programming should never let this happen. She will have to become part of this investigation. Her deceased Great Aunt was a legend in the field of A.I. and built Ocean and others. She owes it to her family to find out what happened here.
I love this series so much! The writing is fantastic, the characters are so real they feel like old friends. And Zoey has no problem putting herself right in the middle of danger. This case can have major repercussions for both Zoey and Ocean. Grab your copy and follow this exciting story line.
