Voldemort begins to suspect Snape in sixth year and sets a trap to capture him and the Boy Who Lived. His plans don't work as well as he hoped and instead force Harry and Severus to learn to live with one another. Snape is outed as a spy, changing the course of events in a few important ways. *Please note everyone is aged up a year.*
And once again, ladies and gentlemen: this is why I read fanfiction.
A wonderful build of characters set in book 6, just following the canon enough, but starting to intersperse new magic, new decisions and new rules. Author did a really amazing job at not pushing at the tentative friendships too quickly, allowing the new storylines to play out without becoming bogged down with extraneous details.
4.5 stars. Needs a quick once-over for spelling, grammar, and word choice (referring to The Prophet as The Profit at one point, for example), but just marvellous aside from little issues of that nature.
