A kingdom in peril. A prophecy set in motion...

The Ceringion Reginum has invaded the Kingdom of Actondel. As armies clash in the east, Tormjere is conscripted and sent to train with the secretive King’s Rangers, but that training is cut short when he stumbles upon an attack on Kataria, Princess of Actondel.

Unable to rely on her family’s name and hounded by her assailants they flee towards the fighting, searching for answers and anyone they can trust. As Tormjere and Kataria struggle to survive on battlefields stalked by living nightmares they find themselves bound ever more tightly together by the unusual gift they share.

To end the war they must learn to harness powers they barely understand, while trying to live up to a prophecy they never knew existed.

David A. Godwin’s debut novel Eyes of the Blind established a fantastic new fantasy universe filled with mystery, danger, and magic. Now he returns us to that richly textured world, where courage and divinity struggle to rise above the profane and victory is seldom colored in black and white.

Finally. A Good Writer!

Well paced. Drew me into it from the start. Great characters. It's been a long time since I've been so caught up and involved in a fine fantasy. Thank God not all writers have gone down some dark rabbit hole, leaving their readers behind.

All Things Are Possible

This another "quest" novel with dragons, magic and demons in the genre of Tolkein. Does he rise to Tolkein? No, but nobody else has either. The one major excluded element is a Golem sympathetic antagonist. Included is the futility of war, personal greed, and the failure of good people in the pursuit of what is "right". Prophecy Book Two ends on a note of failure and defeat. However, left open is the feeling that all things are possible with God, although in this case a "moon goddess". I hope Guardian goes there.

Robuster.

The story became more interesting the deeper into the book I got. Still no villain of substance. I find that irritating. The story could be so much more if the Author gave us something on this front. Is the villains the Wizards, the opposing Kingdom the Princesses father? Who is even leading the opposition?
The hook , the protagonists, the sidekicks all have good storylines. I enjoyed the story . I thought it well crafted for the most part.

Excellent story driven.by compelling characters. The are flawed and relatable but definitely a young adult tale cannot wait too see where the story leads.

Power creep

Not as good as the first book of the series. Our main character was unusually talented there. In this book he’s a hero among lesser men.

I still enjoyed the read. If you like chosen one tropes this book is for you.

Now our hero is sixteen and has had almost an entire year of ranger training! That means he can take on six soldiers at once and come out victorious. YA, with an even less compelling story than the first book. Quick read, though, and decent editing.

An excellent continuation of this series. One of the better fantasy stories I've read this year. Highly recommended.

Great second novel

The story is immersive and the characters well developed. I can't wait for the next installment which I am sure will draw me in as well.

Tormjere's story continues as he uncovers plots within plots. Another of D.A. Godwin's books that I could not put down. The third should be out soon. I am looking forward to it.

I really enjoyed reading this story of a guy and a gal who are fighting demons. It was a very entertaining fast paced action packed story that I really enjoyed.

Very good read, better than the 1st part.

So I realize that part is probably just the 2nd 1/2 of a full size book but then most ebooks unless your paying full price it’s the norm.

The characters had time to develop. It’s worth reading.

Good story

I enjoyed reading the series so far, the hero's are realistic in doing what needs to be done, no sparing the bad guy so he can come back over and over, and no harem crap
