Claire renovates, restores, and repurposes to help stock her store. When she inherits her grandmother's old house, those skills allow her to do much of the renovation work herself. Mason shows up to do the heavy work on Claire's house when his uncle is injured. He needs a date for a family dinner; she doesn't do relationships. She wants friends with benefits; he wants commitment and monogamy. These two have incredible chemistry together, which Mason is aware of, and Claire would be as well if she wasn't so busy keeping herself in denial. This has been a great book to read. The characters and story are so believable, and it's very well written - I could visualize what was being done at her house. Mason is such a gentleman, willing to wait until Claire's "ready" - a trait not frequently found. This is my first read from this author - looking forward to more of her work.
