Charleigh Rose lives in Narnia with her husband and two young children. She's hopelessly devoted to unconventional love and pizza. When she isn't reading or mom-ing, she's writing moody, broody, swoony romance.
I read Guys Like You by Charleigh Rose in the Team Player 2 anthology, and it was everything. I wanted more Halston & Sully since reading Bad Influence, and I was not disappointed. Perfect new adult quickie. Two people who aren’t looking for more than a hook-up, but have a physical connection between them that’s off the charts. Oh yeah, and Sully is a hottie who plays lacrosse. Do I really need to say anything else?! I think not.
“Boys Like You,” is a part of the Team Player 2: Sports Anthology, but it seems like it may be released on its own, with its own cover, at some point.
Halston, and Sully are Jesse and Allie’s best friends from, “Bad Influence.” I remember wanting to know more about them, and glad to see what was behind the two who couldn’t stay away from each other.
After a one-night stand, Sully is unapologetically smitten with Halston. She’s been majorly burned, and not ready for any kind of commitment. They had flirty cute/funny banter, and chemistry that was scorching! I liked them both. This was short, and sweet:)
This novella is part of the Team Player 2 Anthology and is the story of Halston and Zach "Sully" Sullivan - the BFF's of Jesse & Allie from Bad Influence. I loved these characters and their chemistry from the start! They are witty, have the sass and confidence I love from a hero & heroine, and their story tied in some of our favorite characters from the Bad Love series. It was a short and steamy story of two college students whose paths kept crossing and their connection could not be denied. The only thing I wanted was MORE. Well done once again C Rose!
Eek! I just flipping loved this and would love to see it as full length. It's best read after Bad Influence, as this parallels that story. I'd love more from Halston and Sully though!
A short story which tells us the story of Halston and Sullivan who are a part of the Bad Love world. I think their romance was sweet and heart melting and once again Charleigh Rose did a great job! All of her books are perfect!
“One time I made this bet with a girl. If I lost, I was supposed to wear a dress and heels to a party. I told her the day I’d risk public humiliation was the day she could have my balls.” “Well, Halston Montgomery, you have me by the balls. I love you. I just thought you should know.”
This novella was included in the Team Player Two anthology and follows the story of Halston and Sully, who's one night stand turns into something more as they keep crossing paths.
This was a well written and super hot novella. The pacing was really good, there was the perfect amount of focus on the actual relationship and I never got bored, yet it also wasn't rushed, which was great. The sex scenes were very passionate, sexy, and full of chemistry.
My reasoning for not giving this five stars is just that the characters seemed a little one dimensional. Sully was the attractive, cocky, popular athlete with girls falling at his feet and Halston was the gorgeous, wealthy college girl. I find it kind of difficult to relate to and root for characters that are too cookie-cutter, no faults perfect. I think the characterisation could have been strengthened if Halston was more insecure about dating due to her past experiences, or if she was perhaps a little socially awkward or shy. Instead she was confident and beautiful and the inclusion of her ex-boyfriend dating her sister was kind of glossed over as a non-issue.
Guys Like You is a novella written as part of The Team Player 2 Anthology. Charleigh's novella is all about Sully and Halston who if you have read Bad Influence you will know from that and know they have their hook ups and chemistry but we never get the full story. When I saw this novella was going to give me just that I couldn't wait to read it.
Sully and Halston have major fire from the get go. While their respective best friends (Jesse and Allie) are dealing with their own angsty relationship issues, Sully and Halston are getting down and dirty and it is all kinds of HOT! Beyond that Sully and Halston form a bond over the best Halloween movie ever Hocus Pocus, and see there is more to their connection and more to each other than just the physical spark they have for one another. I liked where Charleigh took this short and delicious story, and hopefully we see more in future Bad Love releases.
Omg! Sully and Halston just killed me with sweetness. I have been dying for their story since Bad Influence and boy did it score big with me. This story was fun, sexy and everything I expected from CR. Sparks were flying from the first meeting with these two and it pretty much set the tone for the story.
A hot jock with a big heart and an even hotter girl with a personality to match makes for some serious fun. But when these two finally let the walls down it was absolutely swoon worthy.
This couple will go down as a favorite for sure. I only wish this story was longer because I absolutely loved it.
halston and sully were cute and i loved seeing jessallie moments but it all just felt a little rushed. the first half is just all sex and around the end they’re already in “love”? I understand it’s a novella so it’s much shorter and doesn’t give that much time for deeper development but yard sale was amazing and had actual development with the same amount of time?
With that being said i hope to learn more about them in future books because their dynamic was cute but honestly i’ll just be waiting for dashdrians book !
I read this in the Team Player 2 Anthology. Sully and Halston are in Bad Influence but we get their story in this book. Well a short version of their story. I loved it nonetheless. It’s sexy. I loved how we get a glimpse of Jesse and Allie in it too. I could read more of Sully and Halston! Give me more Charleigh! Lol
